"What if it really is like we suspect, what will you do?" George Xyler hit the nail on the head.
Caleb Green responded without a thought, "Take her ho."
Mason Quinn exchanged a glance with George Xyler, then looked at the indifferent man surrounded by a cold aura and joked.
"Where does that leave Julian," he suddenly beca serious, "Caleb, do you really understand her? Do you know that for the past seventeen years, she’s been struggling in the Abyss every single day?
Do you know that although she’s seventeen, she looked only fourteen or fifteen when we first t her? Do you know why she seems so unruly and cold?
Caleb, even though we’re brothers, I have to say it, you understand nothing, so what are you talking about taking her ho?"
The series of questions from Mason Quinn made Caleb Green’s body stiffen.
The atmosphere in the living room fell silent once again.
Although George Xyler agreed with Mason Quinn, he couldn’t help but glance at him and whisper, "We haven’t even confird it—why are you talking about all this?"
"Was I wrong? Besides, judging from her current attitude, even if it’s true, she probably wouldn’t care."
Mason Quinn speculated in a calm tone, thinking of her attitude.
Hearing this, Caleb Green’s stiff fingers curled slightly, and he couldn’t help but let out a bitter smile.
Indeed, Mason was right; he knew nothing.
Julian Sia watched his silent deanor, the coldness in his eyes dissipating, and he stood up slowly, his deep voice echoing.
"The truth that even Mason understands, you can’t be ignorant of."
After speaking,
his well-defined hand gently patted Caleb Green’s shoulder a couple of tis, the ssage clear.
After he left, it took a while before Mason Quinn’s incredulous voice rang out.
He turned to look at George Xyler, his mouth agape, "What did Julian an by that, saying that even I understand the truth?"
George Xyler chuckled lightly, "Complinting your intelligence."
"Get lost."
...
Just as Claire Green entered her room, a sudden knock sounded on the door.
She opened the door and raised an eyebrow at Benjamin Green standing in front of her, speaking with a casual tone, "Not staying put downstairs, what do you need from ?"
Benjamin Green looked up with an adorable smile, "What they’re saying is so boring; it’s more fun to be with you, sis."
Hearing this, one of Claire’s eyebrows raised slightly, a faint smile flashing in her eyes.
"Even little kids can find things boring. Co in then."
As soon as he heard those words, Benjamin’s eyes lit up and he darted inside, "Thanks, sis."
Watching his small figure, Claire Green’s lips unconsciously curled into a subtle smile she didn’t even realize she had.
Inside the room, Benjamin was like an untad horse, looking around curiously at everything.
Finally,
he frowned at Claire Green, "Sis, why is there so little stuff in your room?"
Claire’s eyes lifted lazily as she leaned against the side, "What, you don’t like it?"
Benjamin thought for a mont, his face full of hesitation, "Not really, but aren’t girls’ rooms supposed to be pretty?"
Unlike your room, which is only black or white, with so few decorations.
Claire quietly looked at him for a few seconds, then leaned down slightly, her slender, jade-like finger tapping him on the forehead.
She teased with a smirk, "Who taught you to say that, Mason and your brother, huh?"
The girl’s drawn-out words held an intriguing tone.
Benjamin didn’t need to think, nodding frantically and repeatedly saying, "Yeah, it was them."
Seeing this, Claire laughed softly but didn’t expose his lie.
In the ensuing ti, Claire sat on the sofa with her legs crossed, playing gas, while Benjamin sat quietly beside her, watching her in admiration.
Suddenly,
when Benjamin saw her ga round ending, he eagerly took out his phone and excitedly said, "Sis, let’s play together."
Claire lazily glanced at him, "Sure."
The two quickly started a ga, and Benjamin operated his ga character like a shadow, trailing behind Claire.
Grabbing every dical kit and drink he saw, completely ignoring the firearms beside him.
"Not picking up a gun?" Claire asked lazily without looking up.
Right after that,
Benjamin proudly replied, "Why would a kid need a gun? At this ti, it’s better to follow my sis and be a mobile dical supply station that needs protection."
"Nice idea," Claire tutted, but still calmly controlled her character to headshot the enemy across.
The result was that after one ga round, none of the dical supplies in Benjamin’s bag ended up being used on Claire; instead, he was busy healing himself the entire ti.
Claire set down her phone, her lips curling up as she casually glanced at the boy, "dical resource station, nice one."
eting her eyes, Benjamin gave her an uneasy smile, then righteously said, "Yeah! Without these supplies, I would’ve died long ago. They say you shouldn’t be a burden in gas, so I make sure I don’t die."
A little mouth that really knows how to talk.
Claire’s eyes glinted with a hint of amusent as she lazily ruffled his hair, speaking gently, "Not leaving?"
Upon hearing her, Benjamin imdiately pouted, looking aggrieved, "Sis, you’re kicking out? Am I not cute enough?"
"Pretty self-aware."
Claire stood up, picking him up nonchalantly.
Once again hoisted into the air, Benjamin was placed outside the room, looking as if he had lost the will to live.
Bam.
As soon as Benjamin touched the ground and tried to speak, the door closed before he could.
He stared at the door with a ghostly glare as if trying to bore a hole in it with his eyes.
Julian Sia ca upstairs to see this scene and raised an eyebrow slightly, "Even the little guy has a day like this."
The sudden voice startled Benjamin, who turned to see the man watching him with interest.
"Julian, you walk without a sound, did you float up here?" Benjamin dropped his cute act and imdiately retorted.
Julian’s eyes paused, a trace of amusent appearing in his gaze, "You’ve gotten bold, huh, daring to insult on the sly."
"How could I? I was clearly praising you for moving like a bird without a sound," Benjamin replied sullenly.
Light as a bird, huh.
"Looks like you’ll need a refresher on your language class," Julian said, lightly tapping his head, his tone leaving no room for resistance.
Upon hearing the word "study," Benjamin’s eyes widened, looking at him with an expression begging for rcy.
It was just one sentence—did he have to be so ruthless?
"I’m not going," he said, unwilling to face those infatuated kids.
Julian lifted an eyelid, his tone indifferent, "Ah, Jin loves studying. If she finds out you’re misusing idioms..."
He left the last part unsaid, but Benjamin understood—wasn’t it just saying it would disappoint her?
Julian was getting worse, threatening a kid now.
Benjamin adjusted his mood, "How did Sis usually place in exams?"
Indeed a good question.
First on every run.
Julian thought of Claire’s performance, an unintentional smile touching his eyes as he casually said, "First."
Wow.
Benjamin was instantly shocked—she didn’t seem like soone with good grades, yet she was number one.
His little head was filled with thoughts; after a while, it was as if he made a decision, "Then I want to be like her, it’s just school, I’ll go."
