[J: No jobs lately?]
Claire Green and her group returned to the Aria Court from the bar, and she went straight upstairs.
She logged into M.K and casually sent a ssage.
It resulted in a bunch of replies.
[Nether Lord: The boss is short on cash again?]
[Bluebird: Nether Lord, that’s not fair. When is J ever not short on cash?]
[Spirit Fox: I agree with that; seriously, J, why are you, as a boss, always short on cash?]
Seeing this ssage, Claire Green raised an eyebrow.
It’s a good question.
But who would ever think they have too much money?
At this mont, Garfield logged in slowly.
Seeing the chat history, he imdiately exploded.
[Garfield: Damn it, J, you bastard, you still dare to show up.]
Claire Green curved her lips, looking entirely nonchalant.
Her fingers tapped on the keyboard, unhurried.
[J: Old Cat, you’ve been holding that anger for a while.]
[Nether Lord: Haha, it’s probably because he was pissed about going to R Nation recently to find you.]
[J: You didn’t tell him I was gone?]
[Nether Lord: He told when he was already at the airport; I felt reluctant to tell him to head back, so I didn’t.]
[Garfield: So you two were in cahoots to ss with ?]
Claire Green chuckled lightly, closed the chat interface, and opened the order list on the side, her eyes flickering as she looked at the top two orders.
The corners of her eyes filled with a mischievous glint as she leisurely accepted the first order.
The mont she accepted it, a system ssage chid in.
[Found J and assigned the order, assigned person J.]
Seeing the ssage, everyone chatting spat out their drinks in laughter.
After a while.
Soone slowly sent out a ssage.
[Drake White: Oh my, our bro is so broke he has to take orders to find himself now.]
[Neighbor Wang: As expected of the boss, such slick moves.]
[Nether Lord: Does this count as order fraud?]
Claire Green’s eyes twitched arrogantly as she sent a ssage, then logged off.
Not caring about how much of a stir this ssage would cause.
[J: Old Cat, if you want to find , co to Bayne City, Z Country.]
[Drake White: Bro, I’m coming too.]
[Bluebird: I’ll go as well, nothing to do recently.]
Victoria Windsor sat in front of the computer, watching the ssages refresh nonstop, smiling helplessly.
Standing up, she slowly dialed a phone number.
"You really have a knack for causing trouble; now several in the group are planning to find you."
On the other side.
Claire Green’s voice was lazy with a hint of wildness.
"They’ll have to find first."
Victoria Windsor was taken aback, the next second burst out laughing.
She couldn’t help but feel sorry for those few in the group.
She thought J would never disclose an address; no wonder there was this whole setup.
The thought of those people arriving in Bayne City, yet not knowing where to find her, instantly made her want to laugh.
However.
"What about the order you took?"
"I’ll et with Old Cat," Claire Green said coolly, "got so things to discuss."
Victoria Windsor responded with a hum, then after a few seconds of silence, asked excitedly, "Then can I co find you?"
In response, the phone was rcilessly hung up.
Her face twitched slightly.
...
After hanging up, Claire Green placed her fingers back on the keyboard.
The room lights were off, only the dim glow of the computer screen reflecting off her face, her expression unclear.
You could only see strands of code running and flickering on the computer.
At this mont.
The Yang Group building was empty.
Yet all the computers lit up simultaneously, green code filling the monitors.
Soon after.
With a leisurely tap of the last key, all the computers initiated self-destruct mode.
Overnight.
All files and data were gone.
"I’m really looking forward to this," Claire Green snickered softly.
...
The next day.
"What’s going on? Get the tech team here."
Jas Young arrived at the company, only to be told by employees that the computer’s data had suddenly disappeared, even other files were cleared.
His face instantly turned furious, yelling in displeasure.
Soon.
The tech team rushed in, panting, sweat trickling down their faces.
They had heard about the company issues and started checking, yet found no problem with the computers at all.
"President, you called for ?"
The man wiped the sweat off his forehead, cautiously looking towards the person behind the desk.
Jas Young kept his face grim, "What’s your say on the company’s problem?"
"We in the tech departnt started examining early this morning and initially suspect it’s a hacker attack."
Hearing this.
Jas Young furrowed his brow in thought.
Suddenly.
Clattering footsteps echoed in.
"President Young, this is bad, the company’s stock suddenly plumted, investors are massively selling!"
Right as the words fell.
Jas Young stood abruptly, staring intently, gritting his teeth, "What did you say?"
"Soone released online news that our buildings use substandard materials, causing investor panic, leading to a stock plumt."
Jas Young felt faint, took a step back.
How could such confidential news be exposed?
"What now, investors along with property buyers are demanding accountability."
What to do, he also didn’t know.
Jas Young waved for them to leave first.
The two exchanged looks, leaving slowly.
"Secretary Lin, do you think this is soone’s revenge?"
The tech worker glanced around, seeing no one, asked quietly.
Secretary Lin glared, warning, "Stop speculating, focus on your work."
Then strode off.
The tech worker spat behind his back, calling him a secretary was saving face, as if he were soone.
Did they truly believe he didn’t know how many people the Yang Group offended secretly, today’s incident must be soone’s revenge.
...
Jas Young sat in his chair, hesitating with his phone in hand.
Finally, he sighed deeply, opened Weibo, finding it in absolute chaos.
Even the company’s official Weibo was overrun.
[Damn it, I bought this property for my family, good thing we haven’t moved in, or who’d be responsible if sothing happened.]
[Why hasn’t this kind of company been shut down yet?]
[They’re just scamming people, only looking to pocket money.]
[Using substandard materials, if it suddenly collapses one day, just thinking about it is scary.]
[Yang Group should just die.]
[Refund! Refund! Refund!]
He slowly scrolled through the comnts, not missing any.
Slam.
Suddenly.
Jas Young swept everything off his desk with one vicious motion, thinking fiercely, if they want a refund, there’s no way.
But this ti, it wasn’t up to him.
The Trade and Industry Bureau and the police soon arrived, to temporarily take him in for deceiving the public, using subpar materials.
And the mont he was taken away was discreetly posted on Weibo.
[People like this should be locked up, hopefully the police can give a satisfactory response.]
[Yes, and let’s hope the trade side does sothing, everyone’s money doesn’t just co from nowhere, if there’s an issue, refunds must be given.]
Claire Green lazily watched the drama unfold, knowing the show was just beginning.
The ga had to be played slowly.
Next up was that eldest son.
...
At Jii Academy.
Edward Monroe and Ethan Song stared dumbfounded at the online news, feeling surreal.
It had only been one night since K ntioned it, and Yang’s had such a drastic change.
Who on earth was K?
The question lingered in their minds.
"Ethan, I suddenly feel like I’ve grabbed a major support."
Edward Monroe spoke, dumbfounded.
"It’s alright, I guess!" Ethan Song suppressed the excitent in his heart, speaking nonchalantly contrary to his true feelings.
