Claire Green’s voice was lazy, wild, and roguish.

Mason Quinn was taken aback, then smirked, "I’m quite fine the way I am now."

He didn’t pry further; after all, a brush with death at the Gate of Hades left no room for confusion.

When faced with death, people often change, and her temperant now was a thousand tis better than what was on record.

Though she liked to stir things up and was arrogant and reckless, she wasn’t detestable.

"Gossip, chatter," Claire Green chuckled lightly, "quite befitting of the Quinn family’s heir."

Everyone present was shrewd enough to catch the double entendre in her teasing.

"Haha," George Xyler laughed out loud.

Even Julian Sia couldn’t help but smile; the girl sotis really had a way with words.

"Claire Green, don’t make it personal." Mason Quinn’s clear voice carried a hint of displeasure.

Claire Green’s smile was ambiguous as she prolonged her response, "Oh."

Casually, she said, "I was complinting you, how is that personal?"

Mason Quinn opened his mouth, caught sight of Julian Sia’s gaze, and helplessly said, "You’re always right."

Suddenly.

Claire Green’s phone vibrated; she took a look, then smirked coldly and tapped a few tis.

Without her permission, today’s matter could never be exposed.

Until she declared the end of the ga, Song Manor would have to play along.

...

"So, what did the netizens say," the middle-aged man with a beer belly asked his secretary excitedly.

The secretary refreshed Weibo, but there was still no response, and he bowed his head, "I don’t know what happened, the Weibo trending topic just won’t go up, and nobody is liking or comnting."

As soon as he finished speaking.

The man said displeasedly, "Didn’t I tell you to buy trending topics?"

"We did buy them, but they didn’t show up," the secretary was equally aggrieved.

The man looked at him suspiciously, made a call to Weibo himself, and confird that they had indeed created a topic in the trending section, but as for why it wasn’t there, they only ntioned possible hacker intervention.

After hanging up, the man angrily threw his phone.

He had painstakingly obtained the scandal about Song Manor; once exposed, their stocks would definitely drop, allowing him to buy at a low price. Now, it was all for nothing.

Such situations were occurring everywhere tonight: anger, resentnt, and suspicion pervading their hearts.

Just who was stopping them?

...

Before coming to the hospital, Dane Song had instructed his assistant to keep an eye on online trends, after all, the guests included both friends and foes.

But when profits were at stake, there was no room for sentint.

He still hadn’t received a call from his assistant, and his unease was growing.

Unable to wait any longer, he checked himself, but after refreshing for a long ti, saw nothing about the party.

Sothing was wrong; usually in such situations, people would be eager to expose the scandal. Why was there no movent today?

Dane Song frowned in contemplation.

At that mont, the assistant called.

"What’s going on online," Dane Song took the initiative as soon as he answered.

On the other end, the man was baffled, "Nothing’s wrong online!"

"How co those people haven’t exposed anything," Dane Song’s voice was heavy.

So that’s what he was asking.

The man suddenly realized, "I called to tell you, Mr. Song, I don’t know who’s helping us, but those people bought trending topics that won’t show up, and nothing has been exposed on Weibo, as if it’s been blocked."

Upon hearing this, Dane Song’s brows furrowed more deeply, his mind racing without a single clue.

"That’s good, just find soone to investigate."

"Alright." The man hung up and imdiately began his investigation.

"Is sothing wrong?" Sammie Ziegler asked, seeing him finish the call with a frown.

"Nothing. Today’s stunt by Claire Green will spread throughout the high society circle by tomorrow, and the marriage with the Yang family is probably off the table."

Dane Song’s deep voice was filled with discontent.

Sammie Ziegler was taken aback, then said unwillingly, "No way."

Dane Song glared, "It’s not sothing we can decide. Song Manor’s reputation is already half-ruined, and with Claire Green’s defiant character, the Yang family definitely won’t want it."

Ultimately, it was Olivia’s idea to invite Claire Green to the banquet and make a one-sided announcent, and now it had backfired.

Under his glare, Sammie Ziegler dared not speak up again.

...

It was already the second day for Olivia Song.

Her face was devoid of color as she struggled to sit up, inadvertently pulling on the wound on her arm, causing her to hiss in pain.

Looking down, she found her left arm heavily bandaged and noticed a hint of red seeping through.

Claire Green.

Olivia Song gritted her teeth, silently reciting the na, her hands gripping the bedsheet tightly, her eyes flickering with murderous intent.

Knock, knock.

There was a knock on the door.

Rae Zander walked into the ward with so things, her expression complicated upon seeing Olivia Song awake.

"Olivia, when did you wake up?"

Olivia Song observed her expression closely, pursing her lips, "Just now. Can you help sit up?"

"Sure," Rae Zander hurriedly put down the things and reached out to help Olivia sit up, "Is this alright?"

"It’s fine. Thank you, Rae." Olivia Song smiled softly.

Rae Zander waved her hand, "We’re best friends; saying thanks would be too formal."

As those words fell.

Olivia Song silently gazed at her, her eyes seemingly glistening with tears.

Suddenly, an awkward atmosphere perated the ward.

Feeling uncomfortable under her gaze, Rae Zander shifted uneasily, recalling last night’s scene, her heart conflicted.

"You have sothing you want to ask , don’t you?"

Since Olivia Song brought it up herself, there was no need for more hesitation.

Rae Zander nodded, "What Claire Green said last night, is it true?"

Olivia Song’s eyes briefly flashed with coldness before it disappeared, her voice tinged with redness, "It’s not true. How could we use her as a mobile blood bank? She’s a living person, not an object."

Hearing this.

Rae Zander agreed internally but still harbored so doubts, "If it’s not true, why did she say that?"

Olivia Song’s voice was aggrieved and tearful, "Because my blood is rare. When I was young, sothing happened, and my parents found her to give a blood transfusion, but as a gesture of repaynt, we adopted her."

The entire statent explained the rare blood type, the cause of the situation, and finally, adopting Claire Green as a form of repaynt.

Sure enough, after listening, Rae Zander’s expression changed instantly, feeling sorry for Olivia Song as she apologized, "I’m sorry, Olivia, I shouldn’t have doubted you."

"It’s alright; under normal circumstances, suspicion is quite natural."

The more Olivia Song said this, the guiltier Rae Zander felt, deepening her aversion to Claire Green.

If Claire Green hadn’t spouted nonsense, she never would have doubted or asked that question, causing Olivia to feel upset.

Olivia Song remained focused on Rae Zander’s expression, subtly curling her lips as she noticed.

"Oh, by the way," Rae Zander suddenly recalled sothing else, hesitantly asking, "Given your current condition, how will you manage filming? Shouldn’t soone inform Director Wang to postpone your scenes?"

Prompted by this, Olivia Song rembered she was supposed to return to the set the day after tomorrow, but even moving her arm a bit caused excruciating pain.

"I can’t. This drama needs to be aired before November, and there isn’t much ti left."
