Two days later, Claire Green quietly appeared at the F Continent tarmac with her backpack, then casually deleted her passenger record.

"Noel Hotel."

Bending over to get in the car, a low voice flowed out from beneath her mask.

The driver glanced in the rearview mirror, his expression sowhat strange.

All he could see was Claire Green in a black hooded sweatshirt, the large hood obscuring her face, revealing only a black mask.

Seeing the car not moving, Claire Green tugged at her hood, her cold eyes finally exposed.

"Not going?"

eting her eyes, the driver flinched, quickly starting the car.

He thought to himself he wasn’t suited for a life in the chaotic F Continent, especially when even a girl’s gaze seed so frightening.

Upon reaching the destination, Claire Green barely stepped out before the driver slamd on the gas, speeding away as if being chased.

"Miss, your room card." The receptionist politely handed over the card to the girl before him, his face filled with curiosity.

Claire Green took the card with a nod and turned away.

...

Noel Hotel, located in the central area of F Continent, stood over one hundred sixty floors tall and was the most iconic building in F Continent.

Standing before the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a clear view of the F Continent scenery.

Tossing her backpack carelessly onto the bed, Claire Green stood at the window, her striking eyes fixated in a certain direction, lost in thought.

Poppy Manor Master.

Her brother’s influence was indeed deep.

Suddenly.

The girl’s eyelashes quivered, her gaze shifting to another side.

A hint of a smirk appeared on her crimson lips.

"What would you choose, life or death?"

The soft whisper in the empty room was particularly eerie and unsettling.

Suddenly.

The shrill ringing of a phone shattered the silence.

Claire Green bent slightly to pick up the phone from the bed, her gaze freezing upon seeing the number.

Her fingers didn’t move until the ringtone was about to end.

"Miss Green." A gentle voice ca from the other side.

There was no response but gentle breathing.

"Have you given thought to what I told you before?"

"I don’t like repeating myself," Claire Green’s voice carried impatience, her eyes tinged with restlessness.

"But..."

Before the caller could finish, Claire Green hung up, shutting off the phone.

He looked at the files on his desk, feeling a headache looming.

In all his years in dicine, this was the first ti he had encountered soone who failed all psychological tests and refused treatnt.

With Claire Green’s current ntal state, it was only a matter of ti before sothing went wrong.

The room fell silent once more.

Claire Green lay on the bed, her dark eyes staring at the ceiling, lost in thought.

After a while.

She began to laugh inexplicably, with a restrained and hoarse tone.

Closing her eyes, she slowly turned over, curling her entire body.

...

On the bed, Claire Green’s brows furrowed, her eyelids moving nonstop, as if trapped in so environnt.

"Our Green Family finally has a daughter." The man couldn’t stop smiling as he held the baby in his arms.

The woman on the hospital bed looked weak from just giving birth, but her face was filled with a happy smile.

"Husband, have you chosen a na?"

Playing with the baby’s tiny hand, the man smiled back and said, "Already chosen, Claire Green."

"Claire Green," the woman repeated, satisfied.

"Yes, hoping she’ll be as beautiful as jade, that’s my expectation for her."

Suddenly, the scene shifted.

"You’re a monster," the woman’s voice was sharp, "You’re not my child."

Claire Green heard this without any change on her small face as if she was used to it.

As a child, due to her intelligence surpassing the norm and her quick learning ability, the adored Claire gradually beca a monster in people’s eyes.

Later.

"Mrs. Green, rest assured, we’ll inform you once the experintal results are out."

A group of people in work clothes gazed fervently at the comatose girl in the cage.

If they could alter her genes, they would beco the best researchers.

When young Claire Green awoke, she found herself in a strange environnt, her body tied with wires from various devices, and she laughed suddenly.

Her childish laughter startled a staff mber entering, who reacted by angrily striking her face.

"Damn, scared to death."

"Okay, let’s start already."

Day in and day out, different people ca to draw blood with syringes for experints.

Claire Green lay on the wooden bed, listening to those around her complain about the incorrect data, forcing a smile.

Initially declared as a monster by others, she had secretly yearned to beco one too.

The experint made no progress, and Claire Green’s small body gradually grew thinner, losing all color.

It was later suggested by soone to try other thods, which brought more suffering to her young self.

Day after day, one day, when no one was around, Claire Green broke free from her restraints, dragging her shattered body inch by inch towards the computer station.

Her small fingers trembled on the keyboard until the progress bar on the screen filled, and she slowly made her way out.

When the group returned from their al, seeing Claire Green missing, they flew into a rage.

"The little monster actually dared to run."

"Told you before, she’s different from others and needs constant watch."

"Alright, hurry up and find her."

Their words fell entirely into Claire Green’s ears as she leaned against a tree, cold sweat dripping continuously.

Struggling to pick up the phone, she slowly dialed.

The nearby lab suddenly exploded, none of them survived.

The scene shifted again.

Blood was scattered all over the Green Estate living room, with a man holding the girl’s leg, apologizing and begging, his face full of terror.

"Claire, Dad truly knows I was wrong, could you spare Dad?"

Watching the man in front of her felt like the ultimate irony to Claire Green, who previously wished for no relation, and now called himself Dad.

"Spare you, who will spare ?" Her voice was soft like a whisper, but the next second her action was swift and clean.

As she left, the Green Manor was engulfed in flas, erasing the grueso scent of blood.

Images interweaved in her mind when suddenly Claire Green awoke with a start; the room pitch black, except for threads of light by the floor-to-ceiling windows.

...

In the bathroom, Claire Green’s delicate face subrged in cold water, finally lifted her head slowly.

Looking at her wet face and reddened eyes in the mirror, she tugged her lips in mockery.

Since arriving in this world, she hadn’t dreamt of the past, believing she was long past those matters.

Returning to the room, she turned her phone on, as dozens of missed calls appeared instantly.

Claire Green casually scanned over them, pausing on a certain number for two seconds before setting the phone down, then a call suddenly ca in.

Her fingers paused, gradually answering.

"Checking up on again, brother." Her voice extrely hoarse upon speaking.

Hearing the abnormal tone in her voice, Julian Sia’s gaze hardened, imdiately rising to his feet without thinking.

"Are you still in M Country, A Jin?"

His question accompanied his swift stride outward.

"Prepare, we’re heading to M Country."

Hearing the sounds over the phone, Claire Green’s expressionless face finally revealed a hint of a smile.

"Brother is so eager to see ," her voice carried a trace of teasing.

Julian Sia replied, his voice deep and magnetically rich, "Yes, I miss A Jin."
