Watching as Dane Song’s deanor suddenly changed from cheerful to grim, the chatter between Sammie Ziegler and Olivia Song gradually faded.

"Dane, what’s wrong?"

Sammie’s face was filled with concern as she cautiously inquired.

It wasn’t her first ti seeing Dane like this; previously, his expression had also drastically changed after looking at his phone.

What in the world did he see that would make him react this way ti and again?

Dane Song gripped his phone tightly, his gaze fixed intently on the ssage on the screen as if he was trying to see through it.

The recent business deals had made him montarily forget about the hidden danger still looming.

Who exactly was that person?

Lost in thought, he didn’t notice the worried glances from the two won’s eyes.

A while passed.

He finally snapped back to reality, his voice deep, "I’m going to the study to handle sothing."

Watching him go upstairs, Olivia finally spoke softly, "Mom, what’s up with Dad?"

Sammie sighed, shaking her head, "I don’t know. Your dad won’t say."

Afterward.

She shared with Olivia the previous instances, looking a bit uneasy.

After listening.

Olivia glanced toward the staircase, frowning.

Ever since joining the production crew, she’d spent most of her ti there, unaware of all these things happening.

Thinking it over, she spoke gently, "I’ll go check on Dad."

Sammie was stunned for a mont, then nodded. Dane always doted on Olivia, maybe she’d be able to get him to talk.

...

Upstairs.

The man in the study, engrossed with his computer, suddenly heard a knock. Closing the screen, he walked over with a stern face to open the door.

Seeing Olivia standing outside, Dane Song frowned, speaking in a low voice, "I said I have sothing to deal with."

Olivia’s lashes fluttered slightly, her voice soft, "Mom is a bit worried about you, so she asked to check on you, Dad, is everything okay?"

"It’s nothing. You go back and rest," Dane Song insisted, recalling what was on the computer. He started urging her to leave.

He couldn’t delay this any longer; he needed to find that person before this damn ga ended.

As he was about to shut the door, he was stopped.

Just when he was about to get angry, Olivia spoke up first, "Dad, we’re a family. Shouldn’t we face whatever it is together?"

After a mont’s silence, Dane Song sighed and let her in.

The Song Group would eventually fall into Olivia’s hands, so it would be good for her to be prepared now.

"Take a look yourself."

Dane Song turned on the computer, displaying the contents of the file, gesturing for Olivia to read.

Shortly after.

After reading the content, Olivia was shaken, unable to snap out of it. While she knew that the Song family had so shady deals, she was still shocked by the file.

So, behind the scenes, her father had been involved in so many things.

Suddenly, her expression beca peculiar.

No, sothing’s not right.

Such a file, where did it co from? With Dad’s cautious nature, he’d never leave such incriminating evidence lying around.

As if reading her doubts, Dane Song’s deep voice broke the silence, "It was sent to by soone else."

As soon as he finished speaking.

Olivia’s face turned a shade paler, recalling what Sammie had told her, everything clicked into place now.

So.

Soone was using this to blackmail her dad.

"This person is quite mysterious. I previously sent soone to contact M.K, but it ended in failure."

Dane Song lit a cigarette, taking a drag, his voice hoarse.

"What should we do?"

Coming back to her senses, Olivia’s face rarely turned serious.

She had just started erging in the entertainnt industry; if this file went public, she’d be ruined.

Even Dane Song hadn’t expected that after reading the file, the daughter he’d doted on for over a decade wasn’t concerned about their fate or the Song Group’s.

Instead, all she thought about was whether she’d be implicated.

"We have to find that person, and then..."

He didn’t finish the sentence, but seeing his sinister expression, Olivia understood.

Indeed.

Such a hidden threat had to be eliminated for peace of mind.

"Dad, I’ll talk to so friends, see if they can get in touch with soone from M.K."

"Alright, go ahead."

...

"Wei Xin, I rember you ntioning you knew soone from M.K, right?"

Potter Wei had always had a crush on Olivia Song; receiving a call from her left him sowhat giddy.

Without overthinking her question, he replied, "Yes, my cousin is a mber of the M.K website."

Speaking of which, Potter’s voice carried a hint of pride.

It’s not every day you et soone from M.K.

Hearing this.

Olivia’s eyes lit up, her voice feigning a charming tone, "Could you do a favor?"

Being asked softly by soone he liked, Potter felt a lightness in his heart, quickly promising without a thought.

"There’s no need to ask between us. Whatever it is, just say the word, and I’ll do it."

But the next mont, he hesitated.

"My computer just got hacked. Could you ask your cousin to help strengthen the firewall? It’d be even better if he could find out who did it."

The girl’s gentle voice filled his ears, eventually emotions took over, and any slight hesitation vanished.

"Dare to hack your computer? Rest assured, I’ll contact my cousin right away."

"Thank you, Wei Xin."

Ending the call.

The girl’s previously gentle expression instantly changed.

Olivia chuckled derisively, her mind full of scorn.

Soone so foolish to harbor feelings for her.

Were it not for his usefulness, she wouldn’t even bother glancing at him.

anwhile.

Potter had no idea the person he held affection for held him in such little regard.

At this mont, he was repeatedly dialing the sa number on his phone.

Finally.

After half an hour, the phone was answered.

Before he could speak, a gruff, annoyed voice ca through.

"Are you out of your mind, calling this late?"

A tricky job had just wrapped up yesterday, and as soon as he lay down to sleep, this incessant ringing wouldn’t stop.

Potter apologized with a smile, "Sorry, cousin, I didn’t know you were sleeping..."

"Alright, if you have sothing to say, spit it out."

His mood didn’t improve for the apology as he interrupted Potter directly.

To this, Potter showed no anger.

He just shook his head, thinking his cousin’s temper was still so foul, he’d never find a girlfriend.

After mulling over his words, he quietly began, "A friend of mine had their computer hacked. Can you help take a look?"

Hearing this.

The man instantly showed interest, "This friend of yours, male or female, what’s their na?"

"Uh..." Potter was stunned, "Is that important?"

"Of course it is. If you don’t tell , how can I decide if it’s worth helping?"

Plus, he was curious to see who had stirred a reaction in naïve Potter.

After a quiet mont, Potter sheepishly answered, "It’s a classmate, the Song Group’s eldest daughter."

As soon as he spoke.

The previously interested man’s expression soured imdiately, "Say that again, who?"

Not knowing why, Potter, assuming he was unfamiliar with who he ntioned, explained again.

"It’s Olivia Song from Bayne City’s Song Group."

Almost as soon as he finished, the man cursed, "Get lost, damn it, you’re trying to get killed."

J had already issued a warning on the website; anyone taking on Song family tasks or getting involved with them would have to face her wrath.

Especially with those big shots backing her, taking this job would be unimaginable.

He never thought Potter had a thing for soone from the Song family, practically walking into a fire pit.
