Tendo Civilian Security Corporation.

In the end, under the guidance of Tendo Kisara, Haruto arrived at this agency office.

The office was located in a remote alleyway on the outskirts of Tokyo District.

Moreover, the building housing the office had its ground floor occupied by all kinds of general stores and shops.

One could even spot a dimly lit adult massage parlor.

Given all that, the fact that the agency couldn't get any clients...

Wasn't exactly surprising.

Before fa ever spread…

Who would co to a small alley like this to commission work?

Rather than so proper job, wouldn't they just co here for so shady massage parlor service?

Ultimately, it all ca down to poverty.

On the second floor, Haruto gently put down Tendo Kisara at the office door.

The door wasn't locked.

The interior of the agency was a ss. Chairs were toppled over, docunts scattered everywhere. There were even slash marks from blades across the floor.

It looked just like a cri scene.

Kisara sighed helplessly at the sight.

What a disaster.

These were the traces left behind from her struggle earlier that day when she was kidnapped. She had originally planned to try recruiting Haruto again once they returned to the office—

But now, she couldn't bring herself to speak.

No one in their right mind would want to join such a troubled agency. Not only were the conditions poor, but there was also a constant threat of danger.

There was no future to be seen here at all.

"Sorry for letting you see this, Haruto-kun. I originally wanted to serve you so tea, but it seems the conditions really don't allow for it, Whether it's for saving or helping with dialysis, I'm truly grateful. I'll rember it well. If I ever get the chance to repay this favor, I absolutely will."

Kisara looked at Haruto and said seriously.

Though deep down, she felt this was a debt she could never repay.

The boy before her was so powerful it defied comprehension, and he could casually provide vast amounts of supplies.

Why would soone like that ever need her help?

Unless he had his eye on her body—

In which case, she might still hold so value.

Just as Kisara was caught in those thoughts—

"Since Kisara-san says so, there actually is sothing I could use help with."

Haruto's words caught her completely off guard.

Eh? Could it be—?!

"I don't have anywhere to go right now. Would you mind letting stay the night?"

Thankfully, Haruto didn't beat around the bush.

His straightforward request snapped Kisara's thoughts back in line. Still, she instinctively felt—this had to be an excuse to get close to her body.

After all, Haruto could casually provide huge amounts of valuable resources to the Cursed Children.

Those supplies were worth a fortune in the current world.

In this era of declining productivity, housing had beco cheap.

Soone as well-off as Haruto—how could he lack a place to stay?

But then Kisara rembered—Haruto had previously asked about the unusual behavior of the Gastrea.

A strange feeling rose in her heart.

"It's fine, but... may I ask sothing presumptuous, Haruto-kun—where are you from?"

In this world, humanity had been pushed into isolated areas behind Monoliths by the Gastrea.

Each was a separate zone of survival.

Generally, crossing from one zone to another was extrely dangerous. Without the Monolith's protection, one would face a flood of Gastrea attacks.

Which is why Kisara hadn't questioned this earlier.

"A parallel reality."

Haruto didn't hide it.

It wasn't even much of a secret.

In this world, the rules of confidentiality hardly mattered anymore. After all, human civilization was on the brink of extinction.

"So Haruto-kun has a case of chuunibyou, huh?"

Kisara tilted her head slightly.

The teasing undertone made it clear—she didn't believe him.

Not that anyone sane would imdiately believe in parallel universes.

"In the world I'm from, an abnormal zone appeared—monsters would occasionally get thrown out of it. My organization managed to secure the area and neutralize the creatures. Surveillance showed that whenever monsters appeared, spatial fluctuations occurred.

Since managing the anomaly consud too much effort and resources, I crossed space and ca here. To try dealing with the source. By the way, the monsters I ntioned—are the Gastrea."

Haruto explained as concisely as possible.

Kisara was left stunned.

It was hard to completely believe.

But at the sa ti, she knew—Haruto had no reason to lie.

"So… you're here to eliminate the Gastrea and save humanity?"

Kisara didn't even know what kind of expression to make.

Haruto nodded—then shook his head.

"Eliminating the Gastrea, or destroying this world—the outco is the sa for . In terms of execution, the forr is actually easier."

…Those words completely killed the conversation.

Kisara fell silent.

Haruto reached out and gently ruffled her hair—Then stepped into the office and began tidying the place up.

Manual labor like this—If left to Kisara, she might end up exhausting herself.

After all, this girl had both malnutrition and kidney failure debuffs.

Watching Haruto lift the desk back up, Kisara finally ca back to her senses.

She walked over and began picking up the scattered docunts. The two of them worked together to restore the office.

It didn't take long before it looked presentable again.

Though so knife marks still remained on the floor—At least the place didn't look like a total wreck anymore.

"There's a bed in the back room, Haruto-kun. You can use it."

Kisara pointed to the inner door of the office,

And handed him a key.

That room was actually her own.

Because she was so poor, she had to live in the office itself.

But Haruto didn't take the key. He pointed at the sofa.

"The couch is fine for ."

And with that, he laid down.

Kisara didn't return to her room either.

Instead, she sat behind the desk and began working on her howork.

What a strange thing.

She had been kidnapped and struggled violently, damaging many docunts in the process. Much of the office's files were ruined.

Yet sohow—her howork remained completely intact.

Her pen made quiet scratching sounds as it moved across the paper.

Although she was writing—

Her mind was far from focused.

Luckily, Kisara was smart—a top student. Even distracted, she could still manage her howork.

From ti to ti, her eyes drifted toward the boy lying on the couch.

Hearing soone announce they were going to destroy the world—

That was a bit of a novelty.

But Kisara didn't feel fear or rejection.

In fact, maybe it was a good thing if this damn world was destroyed sooner.

If it weren't for the driving force of her revenge against the Tendo family—She might have given up on this cursed, gloomy world already.

The next morning.

Before Haruto even opened his eyes, he felt sothing heavy on top of him.

Sothing soft was pressing against his chest.

He opened his eyes—and found himself at a loss for words.

There lay Kisara, curled up like a cat against his chest.

Sleeping soundly, breathing evenly.

...Was this a midnight assault?

Haruto reached out and poked her cheek.

"Mmm..."

The girl let out a soft, adorable noise in her sleep.

Unfortunately, she was far too thin.

Her cheek lacked that soft, bouncy feel.

Haruto had noticed it earlier when he carried her princess-style.

She had a slender figure, and a very full chest—

But her arms and thighs were so thin you could feel the bones.

As Haruto was lost in thought, Kisara's eyelashes trembled.

With a soft murmur, she opened her eyes.

After a brief mont of confusion, she smiled at him.

"Good morning, Haruto-kun."

Haruto poked her cheek again.

"Now's not really the ti for good mornings, is it? Shouldn't you explain what's going on here, Kisara-san?"

But Kisara didn't seem to care at all.

She had that "screw it" kind of attitude.

"Nothing to explain. I just thought it'd be comfy to sleep here. It's warm and soft, so I did it!"

Haruto's mouth twitched.

Why did she sound so justified!?

Oh, right.

This girl probably assud the world was going to end—

So she had totally let go.
