Mash-up Anime World: Creating the SCP Foundation to Contain Anomalies Chapter 345 - 338: The Persecution of the Undying Lizard (Om
In common understanding—
Rabbits are considered fluffy, harmless, cute little creatures.
They love leafy greens and, well... py transactions.
Most of the ti, a cute bunny can easily lt a young girl's heart with just its fluffy appearance.
But... the Omnivorous Rabbit (SCP-524) is clearly an exception.
After it gnawed through the entire table in the student council room—
The Omnivorous Rabbit twitched its nose, its pale red eyes scanning the surroundings. As if searching for its next al.
Its appearance was no different from a normal rabbit.
And that contrast—between harmless look and dangerous behavior—made it all the more chilling.
Right now, Iino felt a terrifying glint flickering in the pale red eyes of the Gluttonous Rabbit on the ground.
anwhile, Haruto reacted swiftly and scooped up the Omnivorous Rabbit—
To prevent this deceptively cute but actually terrifying anomaly from running loose or eating everything in sight.
He casually pulled out so at from Kamui Space and handed it to the Rabbit.
This ti, the rabbit accepted Haruto's offering imdiately and looked very happy while eating it.
"...Anyway, I'll go buy a new table later."
Haruto awkwardly changed the subject.
'The table is not the issue here at all!'
Iino scread internally.
But outwardly, she tried hard to remain composed. Pointing at the Omnivorous Rabbit, Iino Miko asked in a low voice,
"So... what's the deal with this rabbit? Haruto-senpai, you guys don't seem surprised at all. Now that I think about it, sa goes for Shinomiya-senpai and Fujiwara-senpai... There's been this weird unspoken understanding among you all from the start."
"So... are you senpais intentionally hiding sothing? I'm part of the student council too..."
Obviously, Iino was very perceptive.
She had picked up on the oddities in their behavior. These oddities ca from the fact that all of them were part of the Foundation. Naturally, actions taken privately, and those taken when non-Foundation mbers were present, had differences.
But to even notice that—one had to be extrely sensitive and sharp.
"...Actually, this has nothing to do with being a student council mber. But Miko, are you sure you want to know? So things, the price of knowing might outweigh re curiosity."
Haruto offered a warning.
Iino gulped.
She had previously thought the other student council mbers were excluding her.
But now—
It didn't seem to be the case.
Still, despite the warning, she wanted to know.
Iino was not the kind of person who liked ambiguity or preferred blissful ignorance.
"Please tell the truth, Haruto-senpai."
She said solemnly.
Haruto nodded, then straightforwardly explained the basic information about the Foundation to Iino.
Haruto had already been intending to recruit this upright and honest girl into the Foundation—
Just waiting until she graduated.
But as always—plans can't keep up with changes.
And the change, well... was all thanks to a certain soone triggering the Chaos Impact again.
Just like always.
Seriously—who the hell keeps running into anomalies like it's routine? Once, maybe. Twice, sure. But co on, three tis?!
Later, when Ishigami Yuu arrived at the student council room, ti quietly passed.
And finally, even he realized sothing was off. Even if he was dense—a walking steel-reinforced concrete block of a guy—
He could still sense the shift in atmosphere.
Otherwise, Ishigami wouldn't have developed that ominous feeling that his days were numbered—and that Fujiwara Chika had less than a month to live.
Sitting in the student council room, Ishigami felt more and more like an outsider.
Everyone was looking at him like—
A clueless bumpkin.
If it were only Kaguya acting that way, Ishigami might've dismissed it.
But even Iino, his forr classmate from middle school, was giving him that sa look.
That left Ishigami completely lost.
The hell's going on?!
After bringing the Rabbit back to the Foundation site—Haruto felt a headache coming on.
Just from so initial testing—
The Rabbit could gnaw through nearly anything. Everything could be food. The only difference was the speed at which it chewed, and how much it liked a particular material.
Which ant—
If they just threw the rabbit into a containnt chamber and left it alone—
This little creature would eventually gnaw through its own containnt, or even through other anomalies' chambers, potentially causing a massive containnt breach.
Thus, the Foundation would have to regularly feed the Gluttonous Rabbit.
That was a considerable cost.
But the good news—
The Rabbit could replace the Foundation's waste disposal systems. Whether it was radioactive waste or special biological material—
What once required massive labor and resources to destroy, could now be thrown to the Rabbit.
Let it eat it all.
And after extensive experints, the Foundation also discovered patterns.
The Rabbit has preferences when it cos to food. Its favorite is premium Wagyu beef from Japan.
It has a particular fondness for luxurious foods—like high-grade tuna or caviar.
As for what it dislikes—those would be specially fabricated Foundation materials. Including anomalous-resistant alloys that block psychic interference—
Or the dense carbon fiber used in heavily reinforced containnt cells.
While it dislikes these things, it's only relative.
If these were the only things available—
The Rabbit would still grudgingly eat them. Its eating speed also varied with preference. The more extre the preference or dislike, the slower it ate.
Conversely, when given normal materials or foods, it would chew through them in an instant.
For example, it only needed a few seconds to chew through a solid wood table.
But to finish an A5 Wagyu steak or a chunk of anti-psychic alloy—
Would take several hours.
Based on these patterns, the Foundation developed a feeding protocol.
Rotating large quantities of regular materials, inserting special waste to dispose of, and occasionally rewarding it with premium at.
With such a routine, its eating speed was acceptable.
In fact, expenses on this project ended up being less than what it cost to destroy those waste materials originally.
What was supposed to be a money-draining anomaly—
The Foundation actually managed to turn a profit.
Even a capitalist hanging from a lamppost might complint the Foundation for being a bunch of bloodsucking vampires.
And besides that—
Another Execution Experint on the Undying Scourge Lizard (SCP-682) was underway... yet again.
======================
Subject: Execution Test – Gluttony
The Foundation planned to use the Gluttonous Rabbit's anomaly to attempt termination of SCP-682. (The Undying Lizard)
Test Begins:
The Rabbit is placed inside 682's containnt chamber.
At first, 682 showed no interest in the rabbit.
It rely observed it from a distance and slowly approached, trying to examine it.
4 minutes 13 seconds into the test:
The Rabbit suddenly leapt at 682's front leg—and began gnawing.
682 was visibly shocked and confused by the sudden attack.
In just 17 seconds, one of its front legs was completely eaten.
That accounted for 6% of its total body mass.
682 let out a furious roar—and began sprinting wildly around the chamber.
The Rabbit chased it relentlessly.
After six hours of this chase—
The researchers described it like this:
"It runs, it chases—it can't escape even if it grows wings."
By the end of the chase, 682 had lost 39% of its mass.
It eventually evolved climbing claws and scaled the walls of the chamber—
Where it stayed for several hours, trying to avoid the Rabbit at all costs. Even when Foundation staff tried to drive it down—
682 refused to move.
anwhile, with no way to reach 682 due to the height—
The Rabbit calmly began grooming its fur on the floor.
Then—
It perford two acts of self-cannibalism (refer to prior docunted anomalous behavior).
Finally, it started gnawing on the containnt chamber itself.
The test had to be terminated.
The Rabbit was removed from the room. Only then did 682 descend from the wall—
Muttering curses at the Foundation staff.
