[SCP: Possessive Mask (SCP-035), SCP Level: 4 - Destruction.]

[Description:

The SCP appears as a white ceramic theatrical mask, continuously secreting an unknown corrosive fluid from the eye and mouth areas, capable of corroding all materials. When placed on a humanoid entity, it can control the entity, exhibiting human-like behavior and extrely high intelligence (humans controlled by it will imdiately suffer brain death).]

[Traits:

The SCP possesses dium-level cognitive hazard properties, easily implenting hypnosis and even personality alteration through speech, while displaying a cruel disposition. Any entity it possesses will rapidly decay. It has powerful psychic influence and other supernatural properties, inducing a strong urge in humans to wear it simply by sight.]

[Note:

The SCP can control all humanoid entities through wearing, not limited to living beings or non-anomalous objects.]

After obtaining the anomaly traits of the Possessive Mask, Haruto couldn't help but click his tongue.

This thing... is insanely dangerous!

It could forcibly hypnotize humans through just sight and speech.

And more importantly—

It looked like this thing could even be worn on anomalies!

Moreover, if worn by a humanoid anomaly, it would likely retain the anomaly's own abilities.

No wonder the Chaos Splitters guys managed to persuade the Possessive Mask by using contained objects from the site.

Ordinary human bodies obviously wouldn't be nearly as effective as anomalous ones.

This damned mask was really aiming high.

Speaking of humanoid anomalies...

The Plague Doctor would probably be the best choice.

After all, while the Plague Doctor usually acted gentle and courteous, he was actually extrely dangerous.

He had incredible speed, the ability to kill living beings through touch, and the power to reanimate corpses.

Most importantly, the Plague Doctor had a certain degree of immortality.

As for other humanoid anomalies with immortality...

The only ones that ca to mind were Peanut and the Shy Guy.

Peanut (SCP-173) couldn't move while being looked at.

And the Shy Guy (SCP-096), if its face was covered with a mask, its ability wouldn't activate.

After considering carefully, the Plague Doctor seed the most suitable.

Haruto waved his hand, signaling Mobile Task Force Nine-Tailed Fox to standby at any ti.

The Possessive Mask, controlling a rotting body, followed the Chaos Splitter mbers into the site entrance.

At the gate, the group stopped and set up a considerable amount of C4 explosives.

After arranging them, they detonated the explosives.

And then—

The surrounding soil and rocks collapsed.

But the entrance door of the site remained completely unmoved.

Not even slightly deford.

This was clearly beyond the Chaos Splitters expectations.

After all, last ti these guys had used human bombs to blow open a site corridor targeting the Hymn Organization.

However, tis had changed.

After the previous attacks, the Foundation had upgraded the site's materials.

From regular alloys to a high-density alloy.

The overall quality had been significantly improved.

Helpless, the Chaos Splitter mbers turned their eyes to the Possessive Mask.

The Possessive Mask, controlling the rotten body, walked toward the site's entrance door.

It began secreting its corrosive liquid onto the door.

At the sa ti, the site triggered its security chanism.

After three warning broadcasts, automatic guns popped out at the entrance and started firing.

Fortunately, these Chaos Splitter mbers weren't amateurs.

They had co prepared with bullet-resistant equipnt and used it to shield themselves.

Otherwise, the Foundation's symbolic resistance might have wiped them all out imdiately.

After so ti of corrosion, a hole large enough for passage appeared in the site's entrance door.

Seeing this, the Foundation staff looked grim.

Haruto simply waved his hand.

"Just anomalous properties. No matter how much you guard, there's always so strange anomaly you can't prevent. This level of defense is already good enough. Normally, by now, we'd have mobilized MTFs from other sites."

Hearing that, everyone nodded.

Normally, not only would the site have Nine-Tailed Fox stationed inside,

but they would also have enough ti to summon Mobile Task Forces from other sites.

And once MTFs arrived, what anomaly couldn't they suppress? What attack couldn't they repel?

anwhile, chaos was breaking out inside the site.

After all, it was currently filled with D-Class personnel.

Even though their mories had been altered, D-Class personnel still couldn't compare to true site staff.

In sudden ergencies, they struggled to respond.

The Possessive Mask took the lead.

Whenever it encountered D-Class trying to resist, it simply needed to say two sentences:

For example:

"Life is aningless. Existence is but an illusion. Embrace the void. Now, end yourself."

"Your body has suffered devastating damage. You've lost the ability to breathe."

Just a few words—

All D-Class personnel who encountered the Possessive Mask imdiately fell into a state of ntal domination.

Most even committed suicide on the spot. So, after being told they couldn't breathe, literally held their breath to death. They overca their own biological instincts and suffocated themselves.

The group quickly stord the site and entered the light containnt zone.

There were still quite a few anomalies contained here.

However, the Chaos Splitter mbers didn't try to open any other containnt chambers.

Instead, they anxiously searched for the Plague Doctor.

Clearly, these guys knew:

Once the site fell, Foundation reinforcents would arrive soon.

During the Ascension Event, they had already witnessed how powerful the MTFs were. And at that ti, Nine-Tailed Fox wasn't even permanently stationed. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have dared storm the site at all.

Finally, they found the Plague Doctor's containnt chamber.

Upon seeing the Plague Doctor, the Possessive Mask eagerly moved forward and began corroding the containnt door.

The Plague Doctor, anwhile, beca restless and agitated.

The air filled with the scent of "plague."

Whether by design or coincidence—

One of the Chaos Splitter mbers was infected with a virus they themselves had developed.

Although it hadn't yet manifested symptoms, it was in the incubation phase.

Truly infected.

As soon as a small hole was corroded through the containnt chamber—

The Plague Doctor transitioned from calmness to violent frenzy.

He rushed at the partially corroded door.

From within his black robes, he pulled out surgical instrunts and began furiously attacking the door.

Trying to escape from containnt.

With both anomalies working together, the containnt door was quickly breached.

The Plague Doctor imdiately rushed toward the virus-infected Chaos Splitter mber. In terror, the man was touched—and instantly killed.

Afterward, the Plague Doctor began his "treatnt."

anwhile, the Possessive Mask stood at the Plague Doctor's side. The two anomalies started to communicate. However, they spoke in a language unknown to humanity.

The Possessive Mask went on with long speeches.

The Plague Doctor only occasionally responded.

But it was clear: the Plague Doctor grew increasingly agitated.

Even though there were lavender agents in the air, and no more plague-infected humans nearby, he showed no signs of calming down—only becoming more frenzied.

Although no one could understand the words, it was likely the Possessive Mask was telling him that the outside world was already overrun with plague.

After continuous interaction—

The Plague Doctor took the Possessive Mask from the rotting Chaos Splitters corpse.

Then, the Possessive Mask was worn over the Plague Doctor's bird-like mask.

It looked... extrely bizarre, even a little ridiculous.

But imdiately after—

The Possessive Mask-version of the Plague Doctor turned toward the remaining Chaos Splitter mbers.

Those mbers, thinking their mission was complete, were checking whether other containnt chambers could be breached.

Seeing the Plague Doctor going berserk and charging at them, they opened fire.

But it was useless.

Bullets couldn't even penetrate the Plague Doctor's defenses.

As for the Possessive Mask portion—it was completely indestructible.

Soon, the Possessive Mask-version Plague Doctor killed all the Chaos mbers through touch.

Then, he pulled out his surgical tools from his robes. However, this ti the "treatnt" looked... off.

The "plague zombies" he created (SCP-049-1)—

No longer resembled human patients.

Instead, they suffered severe rot.

Their joints were twisted.

Their eyeballs turned pale gray.

They let out guttural howls from their throats.

No matter how you looked at them...

They were zombies!

Staring at the monitor screens, the Foundation staff were stunned speechless.

Uh, what?

Were they about to have a zombie outbreak!?

Even though site staff had seen countless bizarre anomalies—

The sight of a zombie apocalypse straight out of a horror movie unfolding in real life left them montarily frozen.

Haruto's mouth twitched.

"Alright, stop staring. Mobile Task Force Nine-Tailed Fox, move to support the site. Make sure your tactical visors are activated, with AI assistance enabled, to prevent cognitive contamination."

"If necessary, use Class-W mory supplents. The objective: delay the two primary anomalies and eliminate the derivative creatures."
