What should a Creator do when sneaking into soone else's world?
According to normal logic, they would naturally wander around, seek out the local power systems, and study the laws that constitute the world to enhance their own strength. If the world lacked a presiding Creator, they might even look for a way to devour the entire universe.
That is exactly how George's smaller avatars had operated in the past.
Thus, the black cat George had currently inhabited began to wander aimlessly through the city. This was a performance for the Presence—to avoid any suspicion regarding his behavioral patterns—while simultaneously masking his true intent.
His actual plan for breaking the stalemate was to use this massive Avatar to gather the power systems of the DC Universe, understand its fundantal laws, and identify its "bugs" or vulnerabilities.
Once his original body broke through the Marvel Universe and entered DC, and the Presence moved to eliminate it, this Great Avatar would imdiately begin devouring the various universes of the DC world to empower itself.
If the Presence turned back to stop the Avatar, the original body could escape safely. Even if he lost the Great Avatar in the process, it wouldn't matter much—he had already transferred his most important worlds into the small insurance avatar back in the Primordial World.
Conversely, if the Presence ignored the Avatar to hunt down the original body, the Avatar would take the opportunity to devour as many DC universes as possible. This would both strengthen George and weaken the Presence. When the original body eventually reached its limit, the Avatar and the body would fuse, fighting and fleeing simultaneously. Having already mastered the vulnerabilities of the DC laws, their odds of escaping the Presence's pursuit would increase significantly.
However, there was one major prerequisite for this plan: The Presence must not discover the Great Avatar's true strength.
George also couldn't let it slip that he already knew a great deal about this world. If the Presence realized the Avatar was powerful enough to pose a threat, he would stop viewing the situation as "entertainnt" and imdiately act to erase him with his full power.
Consequently, George had suppressed his aura to the peak of the Multiverse level—just shy of a Super-Large Universe level. To an entity like the Presence, this level was insignificant—like the gap between a Saint and a minor Golden Immortal. He could be crushed with a single finger.
The Beginning of a Legend
"So, this is tropolis."
Leaping across the rooftops, George quickly identified his location from the conversations of the pedestrians below.
"It seems that in this tiline, Superman hasn't made his public debut yet."
The DC world was famous for its iconic cities, each anchored by a legendary hero. tropolis was the ho of Superman and the Daily Planet. There was also Gotham (Batman), Central City (The Flash), Coast City (Green Lantern), Amnesty Bay (Aquaman), and Themyscira (Wonder Woman).
Since there were no news reports or public chatter about a "Man of Steel," George deduced that either Superman didn't exist here, or his story was just beginning.
While Superman and Batman were considered the "favorite sons" of the DC Multiverse, there were always parallel worlds where they hadn't yet erged. This suited George fine. As long as he remained in this world, ti alone would eventually allow him to perceive the local laws. Of course, having specific power samples to analyze would make the process much faster.
"Well, speak of the devil."
Just as George mused about the lack of a Superman, a massive, alien spacecraft appeared in the sky above the city. Simultaneously, every television screen in tropolis flickered to life with the sa video broadcast.
"My na is General Zod. I co from a world far from your own. For so ti, your world has sheltered one of my citizens..."
"General Zod's invasion... he wants the Codex to rebuild Krypton," George muttered.
He now knew exactly where he was on the tiline. He also couldn't help but admire Hongjun Laozu's long-term planning. The world George had lived in before transmigrating was a small world within the Primordial Realm. The fact that his old world had stories about Marvel and DC was likely a deliberate move by Hongjun to provide George with the intelligence needed for this very mont.
Standing on the Sidelines
George didn't rush to the Kent farm to find Clark, nor did he fly into orbit to confront Zod. As an "outsider Creator," he was supposed to be ignorant of these events, perhaps possessing only a faint curiosity.
It was more logical to first gather "basic" information about the world. He would wait for the clash between Zod and Superman before making a move.
He hopped down into an alley, knocked out a mugger with a single paw, and feigned "reading" the man's mories. Then, he continued his feline stroll through tropolis.
The next morning, a massive machine—a World Engine—descended from Zod's ship and positioned itself over the Indian Ocean. Another craft settled over tropolis. The two machines began firing synchronized gravity pulses through the Earth's core, attempting to transform the planet's atmosphere and gravity into those of Krypton.
Buildings in tropolis began to vibrate and collapse under the pressure. If it continued, humanity would be extinct within the hour.
"From the perspective of a Kryptonian, Zod isn't technically a 'villain,'" George observed. Watching the walls near Zod's ship begin to crack, he leisurely began to float toward the site.
Zod's goal was simple: rebirth for his civilization. The price was the extinction of Earth's humans. Naturally, Clark Kent, raised on Earth, could never accept that.
George's stance was clear: he would side with Superman. By establishing a "heroic" identity, he could use Superman to et the other heroes of this world. This would give him indirect access to the Seven Primal Forces.
If he could analyze those seven forces, he would unlock the "bugs" in the DC Universe's source code in record ti.
