After enjoying a grand feast prepared by Chi-Chi at noon and spending the afternoon further studying the applications of Ki with Gohan, George returned ho.
That evening, he began experinting with using Ki as a foundational energy source to cast magic from various other worlds. The results were incredibly smooth. This energy—a fusion of spirit, physical body, and natural energy—possessed surprisingly versatile properties. With just a bit of modification, he could easily execute various spells. In fact, the destructive power was significantly higher than when using standard mana.
This experience differed from his entry into other worlds. Previously, he had to constantly worry about being detected by a Creator. Not only did he have to study that world's power system, but he also had to decipher its underlying laws of operation. For instance, when he entered the world of Lord of the Mysteries, casting magic from other worlds required him to first obtain the "spirituality" of a local Beyonder and then restructure the fundantal principles of the spell to align with Beyonder logic. Only then could he avoid detection.
However, the Creator of the Dragon Ball world was no longer present. This allowed George to bypass the most tedious step. As long as he had Ki, he could manifest any magic through simple adaptation.
Moving forward, his plan was twofold: first, continue tempering his physical body and advancing his sequence level in the Warrior pathway to increase his total reserves of Ki; second, continue researching the various techniques and applications of Ki in this world while slowly replicating its universal laws.
If he didn't get the chance to devour the entire Dragon Ball universe later on, understanding all the fundantal laws constructing this world would allow him to replicate them himself. This would still give him a path to break through to the Great Eternal/ga-Universe level, even if it wasn't as fast or efficient as direct consumption.
The five days of the school week flew by, and another weekend arrived.
By now, George had reached Sequence 5: Guardian. Combined with the further unlocking of his Genetic Lock, his physical strength had surged, and the volu of Ki within him had grown substantially. If asured purely by combat power, his current Ki output exceeded 10,000.
While 10,000 might not seem like much compared to a Super Saiyan's 150 million, in terms of destructive capability, a power level of 10,000 was already enough to destroy a planet. Furthermore, George didn't rely solely on Ki for combat; he could use it to fuel magic and the authorities of various Beyonder pathways. In a true fight, his effective combat strength far surpassed that number—especially against sentient beings.
If he were to cast "Fooling" on a Super Saiyan with a power level of 150 million, even they would be left dazed and confused for a mont. And this was only at Sequence 5. As he progressed, his body would grow even stronger, and his base combat power would skyrocket. He estimated that by the ti he reached the "Twilight Giant" stage and fully opened the Genetic Lock, his Ki-based combat power alone would likely rival a Super Saiyan 3.
On Saturday morning, George used Instant Transmission to return to Gohan's house on Mount Paozu. He wasn't there to learn more about Ki from Gohan; he had already squeezed most of the foundational knowledge out of him. Today, he wanted Gohan to take him to the Lookout to find Piccolo. He hoped to learn Nakian Ki techniques and, by extension, get to know more mbers of Goku's inner circle.
"Good morning, Auntie Chi-Chi!"
"Oh, George! Have you had breakfast yet? Co, join us for a bit," Chi-Chi greeted him warmly the mont she saw him at the door. The family was currently in the middle of their morning al.
George smiled and shook his head. "Thank you, Auntie Chi-Chi, but I've already eaten."
"George, give a minute! I'll take you to see Uncle Piccolo as soon as I finish," Gohan called out, grabbing a golden-brown roasted wild boar leg and devouring it with gusto. He had already visited the Lookout the previous night to tell Piccolo about George, and Piccolo had agreed to the request.
"No rush, take your ti."
George accepted a drink from Chi-Chi and watched as Gohan and Goten demolished a breakfast that would have lasted a normal adult several days. He couldn't help but marvel at the Saiyan appetite. He figured that if Chi-Chi didn't possess strength far beyond an ordinary human and the skills of a martial arts master, she would have worked herself to death just preparing three als a day for this family. It was also lucky they lived in a remote area like Mount Paozu where they could hunt plenty of wild ga. If they lived in the city, the grocery bill alone would be ruinous.
"Sky Dance Technique!"
Once Gohan finished, the two of them took to the skies, flying toward the Lookout.
"George, before we et Uncle Piccolo, there are so things I should tell you," Gohan said after a mont of reflection during the flight. He recounted so of the key history regarding the Lookout and his own past. Since he was bringing George there, he couldn't hide these facts anymore, and he didn't want George to be overwheld.
"You don't seem very surprised?" Gohan noted, looking startled by George's calm expression. He had expected George to be shocked, considering the talk of Gods and aliens was usually too much for an average person to process.
George laughed and explained, "You know I've always been interested in Ki. I've looked up plenty of old records and videos—the reports from every World Martial Arts Tournant, the King's kidnapping by the Great Demon King that shook the Central Capital, the suspected alien invasion, and the 'Golden Warriors' who fought Cell seven years ago. I've studied them all carefully."
He continued, "I realized long ago that Mr. Satan's strength isn't as great as he claims. In fact, he might not even be as strong as Videl is now. The ones who truly defeated Cell and saved the world must have been those Golden Warriors who use Ki. What you're telling just confirms my theories."
"I didn't think anyone would actually piece together the truth," Gohan said, impressed by George's deduction. Practically the entire world believed Hercule Satan was the strongest human and the savior of the planet, dismissing the old battle footage as re "tricks." People rarely believed in things outside their known reality, yet George had seen right through it.
While they didn't care for fa and preferred their peaceful lives, knowing that soone recognized them as the true saviors of the world brought a bit of quiet satisfaction. It was part of why Gohan had taken up the mantle of the Great Saiyaman—to help people and fight cri.
Seeing that George knew more than he expected, Gohan stopped holding back. He shared everything he knew, including the fact that his father, Goku, was currently training in the Other World after his death.
"We're here!"
Amidst their conversation, a massive, floating hemispherical structure appeared in George's vision. It was the Lookout—the residence of the Guardian of Earth.
The position of "Guardian" was a title, not a fixed person. Guardians had lifespans, and before their ti ended, they would choose a successor and depart for the afterlife. The previous Kami had split his being to qualify for the role, leading to the birth of King Piccolo. However, during the struggle against Cell, Piccolo and Kami had rged back together. The current Guardian was Dende, a non-combat type Nakian.
Each generation of Guardian inherited specific divine powers while maintaining their unique abilities. Dende could use his Ki to heal even the most grievous wounds instantly. The previous Kami had created the Dragon Balls and the Room of Spirit and Ti—a training cheat where one day outside equals one year inside.
"Uncle Piccolo, Dende, Mr. Popo!"
The two landed on the Lookout. Seeing the three figures standing on the plaza, Gohan waved enthusiastically. "This is my classmate, George, the one I ntioned yesterday."
"Good morning to you three!" George greeted them politely.
"For a human, he is indeed quite impressive," Piccolo remarked. He nodded to Gohan before turning his gaze toward George, his expression shifting to one of mild surprise. He had only agreed to guide this stranger because of Gohan, who was the most important person in the world to him.
However, sensing George's Ki personally piqued his interest. A power level of over 10,000 was roughly where Vegeta had been during his first arrival on Earth. The key was that George was only sixteen. For a sixteen-year-old human to possess such power ant he was a genius among geniuses. With proper training, he might never surpass them, but he would beco a formidable warrior. Earth had been peaceful for seven years, but that didn't an new threats wouldn't erge. Having a high-potential warrior in the new generation was good for the planet.
"When did you start training? How much control do you have over your Ki?" Piccolo asked.
"I've always focused on physical conditioning, but I only started learning about Ki from Gohan last week. So far, I've mastered basic Ki blasts, the Destructo Disc, the Kahaha, and the Sky Dance Technique," George replied. To demonstrate, he gathered his Ki and showcased the techniques.
Piccolo, Mr. Popo, and Dende all stared in disbelief.
"What did you say? You only started learning Ki a week ago?"
Gohan had only ntioned a talented classmate yesterday; he hadn't provided a detailed tiline. Piccolo had assud George had been training under a competent master since childhood to reach a power level of 10,000. To hear that he had reached this level of physical conditioning on his own and learned to manipulate Ki in less than seven days was staggering.
"Genius" wasn't a strong enough word. In terms of raw potential, George seed comparable to Gohan. While Gohan had taken much longer to master these skills, he had been a child at the ti. Potential, of course, did not always equal results. Without his life-or-death battles, Gohan would never have achieved Super Saiyan 2. If George lacked the drive to endure hardship or lacked combat experience, he might never even surpass soone like Krillin.
"Uncle Piccolo, George is incredibly talented. I'll leave him in your hands! I have to get back to my howork. See you later!" Gohan briefly summarized how he had taught George before waving goodbye and flying off. He planned to take a detour through the city to see if there were any cris to stop—he had thought of a new "cool" pose the night before and was dying to show it off.
Once Gohan left, Piccolo looked at George. "Your talent is imnse. It would be a waste to only learn specific 'tricks.' Many of our techniques are unique to Nakians; you might not even be able to learn them. I suggest you focus your energy on martial arts and combat skills to increase your total Ki output. If you're willing, I can train you properly."
To Piccolo, the "magical" abilities George was interested in were minor diversions. The ultimate goal of training was combat power. Only with enough strength could one truly defeat an enemy.
"Mr. Piccolo, I'm actually not that interested in pure fighting," George declined politely. "I prefer abilities that work like magic. I'd like to try learning them; even if I fail, it's no problem."
George knew what Piccolo ant by "true training"—likely brutal physical conditioning and hand-to-hand combat. For him, that was unnecessary. As long as he increased his sequence level and unlocked his Genetic Lock, his body and Ki would grow naturally. As for combat, a single "combat magic" spell could turn him into a master of CQC instantly. He preferred solving problems from a distance rather than letting opponents get close.
"If you insist, then so be it," Piccolo said, not pushing the issue. George had potential, but with the world at peace, a new warrior was a luxury, not a necessity.
"Then, I look forward to your guidance!" George perford a traditional bow. He didn't just intend to learn from Piccolo; he also had his eye on Dende's healing abilities and Mr. Popo's unique skills. They might not have high combat power, but their utility was worth replicating.
"Very well," Piccolo nodded, leading George into the temple. "Since your control is already decent, let's start with telekinesis."
