The accommodations provided by Longhu Mountain were shared dormitories, the sa places the regular disciples usually stayed in.

Each room housed four people. Since Huang Ming and George knew each other, they were assigned the sa room. Companions like Liu Xingyang, however, stayed in separate quarters.

When Huang Ming and George entered their room, they found soone already sprawled out on a bed, lying in a starfish position.

That person was none other than Wudang's Wang Ye.

"I'm Wang Ye from Wudang. Greetings, you two. May I ask your nas?"

Not everyone was like Feng Xingtong or Zang Long—familiar with most of the participants.

Wang Ye had his own reasons for joining the Luo Tian Dajiao and had only paid attention to a few specific individuals. He hadn't watched George and Huang Ming's matches and didn't recognize them.

"Baiyun Temple's Huang Ming."

Huang Ming greeted with a Taoist fist salute. Wang Ye got up and returned the courtesy.

"So it's Daoist Huang from Baiyun Temple. How has Senior Brother Liu been lately?"

"You know my senior brother?"

Huang Ming looked surprised.

Wang Ye sat back on the bed.

"When I was a kid, my father took to Baiyun Temple a few tis. I almost beca a monk there."

Back when he decided to ordain, Baiyun Temple was one of the options he considered. But in the end, he chose Wudang Mountain because it was farther from ho and less prone to interruptions.

"Scattered cultivator Jin Baobao. I've heard much about you, Daoist Wang."

George greeted him with a smile.

Wang Ye looked at George and waved his hand.

"You flatter . I'm just a humble Taoist—hardly worth ntioning."

"No, really, I heard about you from my sister. She said you got into Tsinghua and then beca a monk three years later. She figured you must've been kicked in the head by a donkey."

George joked casually.

Wang Ye froze on the spot when he heard that. He stared at George's face carefully, then guessed in disbelief:

"Your surna is Jin, and you look just like her. Your sister wouldn't happen to be Jin Yuanyuan, would she?"

"Daoist Wang is sharp as always. Truly worthy of your reputation."

George gave a thumbs-up.

Wang Ye's mouth twitched.

"Great. Just like your sister, sharp-tongued as ever. So you're the younger brother she always talks about—the one studying in London?"

"Exactly. Though she doesn't know I'm attending a magic academy over there."

The three of them chatted for a while. When they realized the last bed was still unclaid, they got up and went to eat the vegetarian al prepared by Longhu Mountain.

An empty bed wasn't unusual—not all contestants wanted to stay in the provided dorms.

Those with money or a taste for comfort had mostly gone to the ancient town near the front of the mountain to stay in hotels. It wasn't far, and the trip didn't take much ti anyway.

Late at night, after everyone had gone to sleep, George suddenly opened his eyes and vanished from his bed in an instant.

"Whoa… this girl's really wild, huh?"

High above the back mountain, George—cloaked and hidden in the air—watched Feng Baobao digging a pit with her bare hands and almost laughed out loud.

Next to her was Dan Shitong, the Green Talisman God, tied up like a dumpling and furiously struggling.

Apparently, Feng Baobao planned to bury Dan Shitong here so he wouldn't be able to compete in tomorrow's match.

But that was clearly against the rules. If Dan Shitong reported it afterward, they'd be in serious trouble.

"Ah, I forgot to tell Zhang Chulan…"

Halfway through digging, Feng Baobao suddenly rembered sothing and dashed back to the dorm to drag a drowsy Zhang Chulan over.

"We're gonna dig a hole and bury him, just leave his head out. I'll feed him at night, then dig him back up after it's over.

People say I'm dumb, but I'm actually really clever most of the ti."

Zhang Chulan, unlike the naïve Baobao, knew full well that burying soone was a terrible idea. He imdiately untied Dan Shitong with a polite apology and offered him a cigarette.

But Dan Shitong, clearly humiliated by how easily he'd been tied up, insisted it was a sneak attack and demanded a one-on-one fight with Feng Baobao to prove himself.

Zhang Chulan saw the opportunity and jumped in, offering himself as a sparring partner for Dan Shitong instead.

"This Zhang Chulan's pretty decent. But all I've seen are the Golden Light Talisman and Thunder Techniques. Where's the Qi Body Stream technique from the Eight Miraculous Skills? Is it because Dan Shitong isn't strong enough to force it out?"

George, still hovering high above, stroked his chin thoughtfully.

He'd already seen the Golden Light Talisman and Thunder Techniques. What he really wanted to see was the Qi Body Stream, one of the Eight Miraculous Skills. He wanted to know if it was worth acquiring.

"Soone's here!"

Just then, the seemingly absent-minded Feng Baobao suddenly pulled out her small knife and hurled it straight toward George's location.

"What sharp instincts."

George quickly rose higher into the sky to dodge the knife, then used phantom shifting to leave the area.

He had been both invisible and completely suppressing his presence in the sky, yet Feng Baobao still managed to sense him. Her instincts were sharper than a wild beast's.

"This Luo Tian Dajiao is going to be quite the harvest."

Returning to the dorm, George closed his eyes and entered his ntal world.

From what he had discovered so far, even if this world lacked higher-dinsional beings, the techniques and Daoist arts he'd seen were already extrely beneficial to him.

Most important of all were the life-nurturing cultivation thods of the Daoist sects.

From what he had gathered, most Qi refiners cultivated both body and soul—what they called xingming. But Daoist sects focused on it even more heavily.

For example, Baiyun Temple hardly practiced Daoist spells at all. They focused purely on xingming, especially the refinent of the soul. Their ultimate goal was to ascend through the Yang Spirit and beco immortals.

Longhu Mountain also focused on xingming. The Golden Light Talisman was just a by-product of their cultivation thod, while the Thunder Technique served as a protective art.

Despite having traveled through so many worlds, George still hadn't found a way to truly cultivate both body and soul.

His physical strength ca from stacking special avatars, the implanted Dragon Crystal that made him a Dragon Slayer Mage, and the enhancent of the Despair Virus.

These were all one-ti upgrades. They didn't improve with further magical research.

His soul was slightly better off, but still largely static.

The only thod he had that allowed continuous improvent was the ditation technique he'd learned from the Magician's Apprentice world, which boosted his magic power and granted longevity.

But in truth, it didn't significantly enhance his physical or spiritual strength. Balthazar had lived over a thousand years, and his body and soul weren't anything extraordinary.

If things continued this way, George would grow stronger through magic, but his foundation would remain stagnant.

However, if he seriously cultivated the xingming thods of this world, he could improve his body and soul from the ground up.

And since his body and soul were already countless tis stronger than ordinary people's, in this world, he would be considered monstrously gifted.

With that kind of foundation, his cultivation efficiency would be extraordinary.

So even if this world's power ceiling wasn't particularly high, it still offered imnse value to him—helping him solidify his foundation and more easily break future limits.

His current goal was to learn everything from all the worlds he visited—extracting only the essence, discarding the dregs, and rging them into one unified system.

To absorb all rivers and beco a truly flawless hexagonal mage.
