After reattaching the dragon's head to its massive body, George began inscribing a magic formation around the fallen dragon to refine the Dragon Crystal.
The process required no additional materials—only a single component: the dragon's corpse.
By channeling magic into a specialized formation, the dragon's body would be condensed and purified into a Dragon Crystal, containing all of its essence. Once refined, the crystal could be implanted into a body.
However, in so cases, the dragon's body and heart were refined separately, producing two Dragon Crystals.
But the effectiveness of such divided crystals paled in comparison to one created from the dragon's entire body.
George wasn't about to settle for anything less than the best.
"Let's begin."
With the magic formation fully inscribed around the dragon's corpse, George placed his hands on the formation and poured in a surge of magic.
Under the influence of his power, the formation erupted in a radiant glow, enveloping the dragon's body. Slowly, the colossal form began to shrink and condense under the refining process.
An hour later, with a thunderous explosion, the magic formation shattered, leaving behind a crimson Dragon Crystal, no larger than the palm of his hand, resting on the ground.
Picking it up, George could imdiately sense the imnse fire-elental energy contained within.
"It's done."
A faint smile crossed his lips. Wasting no ti, he began the incantation for fusing the Dragon Crystal, carefully positioning it over his heart.
A searing pain erupted in his chest as the crystal lted into his body like liquid, rging with his heart. Almost instantly, the power of the dragon fused with his own magic, spreading throughout his being.
The mont the fusion was complete, George felt his body undergo a rapid transformation—his physique was significantly enhanced.
Previously, thanks to the combined physical attributes of his many avatars, he had already surpassed the limits of normal human strength. But with the Dragon Crystal's power now coursing through him, his physical capabilities had at least tripled.
The most notable enhancent was in his defense.
Before, while his body possessed decent physical resistance—able to withstand ordinary bullets with nothing more than minor injuries—his magical resistance was virtually nonexistent.
If he didn't actively use magic to defend himself, a spell would affect him the sa way it would any normal wizard, without any innate resistance to its effects.
He could break free through sheer magical prowess and knowledge, but that was a matter of skill, not innate defense.
Now, however, things were different. The fusion of the Dragon Crystal had granted him a portion of the dragon's physiology, including its physical durability and magical resistance.
Even without casting defensive spells, most physical and magical attacks would be ineffective against him. And those that did manage to land would have their effects drastically weakened.
"If nothing else, just the boost to my physique and defense alone makes this worthwhile. As expected of the first ancestral dragon created by Morgoth."
Stretching his body, he suddenly opened his mouth—and in an instant, a jet of black dragonfire spewed forth. The action was as effortless as spitting, requiring neither an incantation nor any casting gestures.
"This feels incredible."
After a few monts of spewing flas, George surveyed the scorched earth around him, nodding in satisfaction.
Right now, he was like a humanoid dragon, capable of unleashing the sa black dragonfire as the legendary Grauron. While his fire wasn't as massive as Grauron's, that hardly mattered.
Size wasn't the priority—power was. And if he wanted to enhance his flas, he could take inspiration from Dragon Slayer Mages and develop specialized techniques.
This realization saved him a great deal of effort. Since it was still fire magic, he could directly adapt the techniques developed by Natsu and use them as his own.
In fact, breathing fire had certain advantages over casting fire spells—it was faster, more precise, and often caught enemies off guard, making it an excellent tool for surprise attacks.
It was like throwing a needle with your hand—an opponent could see it coming and dodge easily. But if, in the midst of close combat, you suddenly shot a needle from your mouth, the enemy would likely have no ti to react.
If a fight ever ca down to lee combat, catching an opponent off guard with a sudden burst of dragonfire could prove highly effective.
"Now, the next step… the most crucial part of becoming a Dragon Slayer Mage."
George extended his hand, conjuring a small fla of Fiendfyre. Then, taking a deep breath, he attempted to devour it.
The greatest advantage of a Dragon Slayer Mage over a regular fire mage was their ability to consu any type of fla, regardless of its origin, to strengthen their own.
Essentially, they were invincible against their own elent—unless the power gap was too vast.
"Hmm… why isn't this working?"
After several tries, George realized he couldn't devour the Fiendfyre the way Natsu could consu flas to enhance himself.
At first, he thought it might be because the fire ca from his own magic. To test this, he borrowed a torch from an elven soldier—but the result remained the sa.
Still unable to absorb it, he frowned in thought.
"Could it be because dragons from different worlds function differently?"
That seed like the most reasonable explanation. The demon dragon, Grauron, was not like the dragons of the Fairy Tail world, which could absorb elental energy. Since his powers stemd from Grauron, it made sense that he wouldn't have the sa ability.
However, this wasn't necessarily a bad thing. At least he confird that he didn't suffer from the major weakness of Fairy Tail Dragon Slayers—their infamous motion sickness when riding vehicles.
"It looks like I'll have to find a genuine Dragon Crystal from the Fairy Tail world if I want the real deal."
As the old saying goes: An orange grown in the south is sweet, but when planted in the north, it turns bitter. Even a fruit could change based on its environnt, so it wasn't surprising that different worlds produced dragons with distinct characteristics—and, consequently, Dragon Crystals with different effects.
Still, he had gained plenty from this process.
A major boost in his physical attributes didn't just an better survivability. His Giant Magic and electrically enhanced close-combat techniques would also see significant improvents.
Now, he could enlarge himself up to 30 ters—not as massive as the Guild Master, who could grow over 100 ters—but because of his superior base physique and electrical enhancents, he might already surpass the power of a 100-ter giant.
Even better, his Marvel counterpart and other avatars across different worlds received the sa enhancents.
So, while he didn't gain everything he had hoped for, the benefits far outweighed the minor disappointnt.
And there was one last advantage—his control over fire magic had drastically improved.
The Fiendfyre Curse, a notoriously uncontrollable dark spell that would otherwise burn everything indiscriminately, was now fully under his command.
If he ever waged war against Morgoth and had to lay siege to Angband, his plan was simple: flood the battlefield with massive waves of Fiendfyre, incinerating Morgoth's vast armies of orcs before the real fight even began.
Then, all that would be left was a final battle against Morgoth and his Balrogs.
Having finished dealing with the Dragon Crystal, George returned to the Elven City.
In the short ti he had been away, the Light Elves had already used their life magic to restore all the burned plants and trees, returning the city to its forr beauty.
