"Don't worry about your father. His teeth can be trimd by a good dentist," George said casually as he flew toward the academy, noticing the faint concern on Betty's face.
Just as he finished speaking, a figure flying at high speed suddenly appeared in the distance. George squinted for a better look—it was none other than Iron Man, whom he hadn't seen in a while.
At the sa ti, Tony Stark, rushing to his destination, received an alert from J.A.R.V.I.S.:
"Sir, detecting a large biological energy signature ahead. Please proceed with caution."
"Large biological energy?"
Tony imdiately decelerated and hovered in mid-air, scanning the area ahead. However, the space in front of him appeared completely empty.
"Activate the scanner."
With a blink, a specialized detection system in his suit activated, revealing four human-like figures. One of them, notably massive, stood out among the group.
"Looks like I've been spotted."
Seeing Tony co to a sudden stop, George realized that his Disillusionnt Charm had been compromised. The spell relied on magic to bend light and render the user invisible, but it was ineffective against heat-detection equipnt.
Canceling the charm, George waved to Tony.
"Hey, Tony! Long ti no see. Where are you headed in such a hurry?"
"George? Is that... Oh, what the heck is that thing? It's hideous!"
Tony was taken aback to see George floating mid-air, especially with a giant humanoid creature being towed behind him on a rope.
"A military experint gone rogue. It was causing chaos on Broadway, so I dealt with it," George explained briefly.
Tony, rembering sothing, quickly said, "Perfect timing! I could use your help. I'm heading to Queens to rescue so people."
After George and Tony had parted ways previously, Tony had discovered that the arc reactor in his chest was poisoning him with palladium, leaving him with limited ti to live. This realization had led him into a spiral of self-indulgence and reckless behavior.
Thankfully, he had later found clues left behind by his father, enabling him to replace palladium with a new elent and cure himself. However, just as his life returned to normal, Tony learned that Ivan Vanko, who had previously attacked him, was planning a terrorist attack during Hamr Industries' robotics expo.
The expo, set to take place in Queens, would host hundreds of attendees, including Pepper Potts, and was surrounded by curious civilians outside the venue. Tony feared he wouldn't be able to save everyone on his own.
Seeing George now, he figured his friend's vast array of powers could make all the difference.
"Queens? The Hamr robotics expo?" George imdiately understood what was happening.
"Sure, I can help—but hold on a mont."
He pulled out a small box from his storage space and turned to Banner and Betty.
"I need to help Tony save so people. Would you mind staying in this box for a little while?"
George wasn't concerned about Ivan Vanko's robots. They were all made of tal, which posed no threat to him. Helping out Tony was simply sothing he could do while he was at it.
Coincidentally, George had planned to visit Tony soon anyway. He'd recently acquired so of Hulk's hair and intended to use it as wand cores for a new batch of alloy wands.
Speaking of which, if Tony was already confronting Ivan Vanko, did that an Thor had been banished to Midgard by now?
"We don't mind, but... Principal, isn't that box a bit small for us?"
Banner and Betty, both aware of Iron Man's fa, were happy to cooperate and avoid causing trouble. However, the box George had pulled out was barely the size of a hand, which left them puzzled.
George chuckled.
"It may look small on the outside, but it's as big as a house inside. Plenty of space for all of you."
With that, he placed Banner, Betty, and even Abomination into the box, then returned it to his storage space.
Watching this, Tony couldn't help but comnt, "Your abilities just keep multiplying. I don't rember you using that trick before."
"My powers grow over ti. This is a newly awakened one," George replied with a smirk. "By the way, what's been going on with you lately? I've only caught bits and pieces from the news."
George flapped his wings as he flew alongside Tony toward the Globe Expo Hall in Queens.
During their chat, George also learned about Tony's recent experiences in greater detail.
Most of Tony's situation hadn't changed much, but there was one notable difference: since Tony had encountered Black Widow before, S.H.I.E.L.D. assigned Agent Coulson to stay with him this ti. Coulson had administered temporary antidotes to Tony and kept an eye on him at the villa.
However, due to the ongoing fierce conflict between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra, Coulson was recalled to headquarters by Nick Fury a while ago. Seizing the opportunity, Tony snuck out of the villa to find Pepper Potts and retrieve the model left by his father. Using that model, he managed to synthesize a new elent to replace palladium in the arc reactor, thereby completely curing himself of the poisoning.
The two continued their conversation as they quickly approached the Globe Expo Hall in Queens.
Tony flew directly into the venue, while George turned invisible and hid nearby.
Inside the exhibition hall, Justin Hamr, the flamboyant chairman of Hamr Industries, strutted onto the stage amidst applause from the crowd.
"Ladies and gentlen, for so long, we've sent brave soldiers into harm's way. Then, Iron Man ca along, and we thought the sacrifices would end.
But no, he refused to share his advanced technology.
I think that's unfair and, quite frankly, wrong.
That's why Hamr Industries has developed sothing better. Tonight, the newspapers are going to run out of ink because they'll have so much to print!"
With a dramatic gesture, Hamr turned and pointed behind him.
"Ladies and gentlen, I present to you the new face of the U.S. military—land, air, and sea tactical robotic soldiers!"
As the lights shifted to the stage, rows of steel robots, designed by Ivan Vanko, began to rise from hidden platforms.
"And finally, the ultimate in strategic response—the fully ard War Machine armor, piloted by none other than Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Jas Rhodes!"
The modified Mark II suit, gifted to Rhodes by Tony and rebranded as "War Machine," made its first public appearance. However, Hamr shalessly claid it as a product of Hamr Industries.
While the audience was initially stunned, the hall erupted with excitent when Iron Man, absent for two months, suddenly appeared and landed on the stage. Hamr's confidence faltered imdiately.
The crowd, on the other hand, went wild.
To them, the robotic soldiers and War Machine were unproven prototypes, re display pieces. Iron Man, however, had already demonstrated his strength and reliability countless tis.
More than that, Iron Man wasn't just a superhero—he was a genius inventor, the richest man in the world, and a renowned playboy.
anwhile, Ivan Vanko, watching from Hamr Industries' control center, smirked coldly as he saw Tony Stark take the stage. Without hesitation, he activated the remote control for War Machine and the robotic soldiers.
"Tony, sothing's wrong! My system's been compromised!"
The machine gun mounted on War Machine's back suddenly rose and aid at Tony, while the four rows of robotic soldiers behind him simultaneously unveiled their weapons.
