Chapter 701 - Prelude To War

The Dark World, Walter Alheim.

It belonged to one of the nine great worlds born from the World Tree, but now it had already beco a death zone.

The entire world was desolate as far as the eye could see. Gloomy clouds covered the atmosphere, and there were no signs of life in the rubble.

The once glorious Dark Elves were born in this world.

At that ti, they had the power to compete with Asgard, or even surpass the other seven worlds, but with the battle thousands of years ago, the glory of the past faded with ti.

A ball of black light slowly appeared, and Malekith walked out with Jean.

They were in the depths of a canyon. Malekith threw Jean to the ground, and then walked along the stone steps to the decaying throne. He held the two heads that were like bones and slowly sat down.

Jean's mouth and nose were sealed by magic, and he could neither speak nor move. He could only observe the situation around him.

In the desolate and lonely wind sand, a faint sll of blood could be faintly slled. In the distant black earth, one could vaguely see mountains of corpses and bones, as well as countless damaged weapons and armor, and even the remains of warships.

Thinking of the story told by the Queen of Heaven, Frigg, Jane quickly guessed that this was the battlefield thousands of years ago.

From the weapons and armor style scattered all over the ground and the appearance that was almost the sa as Asgard, it was not difficult to speculate this.

Combined with what the guards ntioned before, there was an invasion of dark elves, and Jane imdiately guessed that this man with dark skin, pointed ears and white hair was the dark elf ntioned by Queen Frigg, and he was the leader who failed to escape. Malekith'.

He was also here for the ether particles!

Jane was not a fool. She knew that the only thing she could be taken in was the ether particles in her body.

However, there was one thing that made her feel strange. Since the thing that Malekith wanted was ether particles, why was she thrown aside after she was captured?

Moreover, Malekith's gaze was fixed on the distant location of the canyon, as if he was waiting for soone to arrive.

As ti passed, the entire world gradually darkened.

The light from the stars could not penetrate the thick cloud, and as the planet rotated, the last bit of light was taken away, and the night engulfed the entire Ward alheim, with a gloomy environnt and biting cold winds coming.

However, at this ti,

There was a figure gradually approaching with the darkness.

Malekith, who was sitting on the decaying throne, straightened his back slightly. Obviously, the person he was waiting for had arrived.

It was a thin man. He was wearing a gentlemanly style similar to British. He was wearing a thick black tweed coat with two rows of vest and a gray shirt inside. He was wearing a pair of leather boots and holding a gold-inlaid cane in his hand.

The man's face seed to be shrouded in fog, constantly changing and distorting, making it impossible to see clearly.

In this kind of ring that was obviously an alien planet, he actually saw human clothing belonging to Earth. It had to be said that this was quite a strange feeling. It even made Jean want to complain for a mont, but he did not know where it started.

Her human instincts told her that this man was extrely dangerous.

Just a little bit closer to her, and all the hair on her body stood on end. Fear seeped out from her bones, and her blood seed to have been frozen. The only thought left in her mind was to escape.

The man slowly passed by Jane, ignoring the fearful woman.

"According to what you said, I brought her here."

Malekith's pupils trembled slightly, and his voice seed to be deliberately suppressing his excitent. He said, "The aether particles and the 'light beacon' are already in our hands. What should we do next?"

"Next, it's war."

The man looked at Jane lightly, and then his tone was calm. "This woman only has half of the ether particles, but since it's just a beacon, it should be barely enough."

"War. Sounds good."

The Dark Elf King Malekithpursed his lips, revealing a hint of killing intent. "But before that, don't forget that old bastard God King Odin and that powerful God of Thunder Thor. How do you plan to deal with them?"

"Heh. Don't worry about them."

Hearing this, the man just sneered and said contemptuously, "That Thunder God Thor ca from the future and received the blessing of the World Tree in a short period of ti. It won't be long before he returns to the future."

"Future...Thor..."

Malekith frowned deeply. He obviously knew the foundation of the tiline. He asked again, "Since he is a future person, why can he interfere in the past?"

"Who knows."

The man shrugged and said indifferently, "Maybe this world is crazy. Maybe?"

"Hehe, a crazy world?"

Marinez grinned, showing that he agreed with this point of view. He asked again, "But even without the future Thor and the old undying Odin, as long as he is still alive, we can't destroy Asgard."

"Odin? Hehe, he's just a dying man."

The man chuckled and shook his head. He said sarcastically, "You have to thank the future Thor. If he hadn't killed you on impulse, Odin would have been able to hold on for a while. Now, he's already exhausted. He won't live for long."

"Thank Thor.... What do you an?"

Malekith revealed a puzzled expression. He clearly did not understand what the mysterious person ant.

"Asgard, there can only be one God King."

The man tapped his walking stick lightly and said with a fake smile, "The divine Soul King bestowed by the World Tree will not change in overall quality. If a younger Divine King appears, the power in the old Divine King will be extracted. Do you understand now?"

"So that's how it is. I understand now."

Malekith ca to a sudden realization and understood the 'opportunity' that the mysterious man was talking about.

In the future, Thor would receive the blessing of the World Tree and beco an existence that surpassed Father. However, at the sa ti, the God Soul King within the body of the old Odin was transferred into the body of the young Divine King. For the old Odin who had fallen into a deep slumber, this could absolutely be said to be a heavy blow!

In other words, a golden opportunity had arrived!

The old Odin had lost God Soul King and was about to fall, and Thor, who had obtained God Soul King, had to return to the future.

Asgard had lost the protection of the World Tree and no longer had the power to contend against other worlds. And yet, he, Malekith, had the aether particles and was about to return the nine worlds to the embrace of the Dark Era!

"There is one more thing."

Malekith suppressed his excitent and said in a deep voice, "I need a large number of soldiers to destroy Asgard."

"As you wish."

The mysterious man smiled and then gently tapped his walking stick.

A mysterious green light instantly blood. A huge magic array that radiated a radius of several thousand ters appeared. If soone were to look down from the sky, they would clearly see a green eye that was like a pupil, outlining a complicated and profound formation.

In the next mont, countless dark elves and warships appeared one after another.

"The ti afterimage I borrowed from the past."

The mysterious man exhaled a breath of turbid air and said sowhat tiredly, "There is only this much left. You can think of a way to deal with the rest."

"Oh? It's actually ti magic."

Malekith narrowed his eyes and curled his lips. "I didn't expect my ally to be that person."

"This is the only chance."

The mysterious man avoided the important point and changed the topic to another point, saying: "And the ti is approaching, if you miss [it]'s return, the next chance will be six thousand years later."

"Don't worry, I know what to do!"

Malekith slowly got up from the throne and looked at the distant dark sky. He said in a deep voice, "There will definitely be no mistakes this ti. As long as we destroy Asgard, no one will be able to stop us!"
