"Mr. Superman?"

"Alright then… let's go."

Watching Carl and the others vanish before his eyes,

Tony Stark naturally understood, they had already left.

After all…

He himself had once flown with Carl.

That unbelievable speed…

Tony would never forget it for the rest of his life.

"Well, in that case, I'd better get going too."

"Don't want to keep Mr. Superman waiting."

Muttering to himself,

Tony turned to General Ross and said,

"General, I'll take my leave."

"If anything cos up, let's talk another ti."

With that,

Without waiting for a reply,

He activated his suit.

With a blast from the repulsors,

The Iron Man suit soared into the sky, trailing bright flas.

"Stark?"

"Stark!!"

General Ross tried to call him back,

But Tony didn't even turn his head.

On the sidelines,

A soldier raised a rocket launcher, taking aim at Tony's back.

"Stand down! What do you think you're doing?!"

Ross barked sharply, halting him instantly.

Hearing that, the soldier said nothing,

He quietly lowered the launcher.

"Unbelievable…"

"Tony Stark really built sothing like that…"

Watching the streak of light vanishing into the sky,

General Ross couldn't help but sigh.

Too much had happened tonight.

And at that mont,

Even General Ross didn't know how to handle the aftermath.

After all…

Just the attempt to capture the Hulk

had already caused serious destruction in the city.

And tonight,

The destruction caused by Abomination was far worse.

Even Ross himself had a massive headache now.

Not to ntion…

There was also that supposed Superman.

Was that man really Superman?

And there was also his daughter,

General Ross felt a stab of worry.

But then…

He recalled the conversation he'd overheard.

Betty,

Had clearly been taken away by that supposed Superman.

And that Superman seed to be acquainted with Tony Stark.

That being the case,

His daughter's safety should be assured.

Even if he couldn't track down Superman…

Finding Tony Stark wouldn't be difficult.

After all…

As one of Arica's most famous billionaires,

Tony Stark couldn't just vanish off the face of the Earth.

And besides,

Ross had a decent relationship with Stark.

They were… marginally friends, at least.

Otherwise,

Stark Industries wouldn't have helped the military develop the Super Soldier Serum.

anwhile…

Carl had taken Hulk and Betty

to Tony Stark's private seaside mansion.

He didn't go inside.

Instead, he waited quietly outside,

enjoying the sea breeze and the view of the distant waves.

Betty Ross sat beside the unconscious Hulk.

Looking around at her unfamiliar surroundings,

her expression was dazed.

Bathed in the light from Tony's ho,

she could see where she was,

a luxurious villa by the sea.

Just a mont ago…

Hadn't she still been in the middle of the city?

How did she suddenly end up by the ocean?

Was this… a dream?

She pinched herself instinctively.

Pain.

It was real.

Betty Ross was actually at the seaside.

Which ant,

That man just a few ters away,

the one she'd just called Superman…

He was real too?

Taking a deep breath,

Betty gathered her courage and asked softly:

"Mr. Superman…?"

"Where… exactly are we now?"

She didn't know Carl's na.

But since he had acknowledged the title of "Superman,"

and Tony Stark had called him that too,

Betty figured it was fine to follow suit.

Carl glanced at her.

"We're at Tony Stark's place."

Betty could sense Carl ant her no harm.

She finally relaxed.

After all…

She had no other choice earlier.

That's why she asked Carl to take her along.

If Bruce had stayed behind,

he would've undoubtedly been captured by her father.

With all those soldiers around…

Even if they hadn't seized him,

Bruce would've had to flee again.

And once again,

She wouldn't have been able to see him.

Betty didn't want that.

So she'd begged Carl to take her with them.

Now, seeing Carl's calm deanor,

Betty was no longer nervous.

She exhaled slowly and asked:

"Mr. Superman…"

"Weren't we just in the city?"

"How did we end up at the seaside?"

"I brought you here," Carl replied.

Betty blinked in surprise.

"But… I didn't feel anything at all?"

Carl answered offhandedly,

"Maybe because I was too fast."

"Too fast?"

Betty Ross was even more stunned.

Though the daughter of a general,

Betty herself was a doctor,

and a brilliant one at that.

She understood the principles of physics and motion.

From the city to the seaside…

That was a considerable distance.

Yet they had covered it in the blink of an eye?

What was that, two seconds? One?

She wasn't even sure.

Because before she could register what happened,

they had already arrived.

That kind of speed was terrifying.

What shocked her even more,

was that she hadn't felt a single gust of wind.

With speeds that high,

she should have been hit by intense air pressure or freezing wind.

But there had been nothing.

How?

Betty was baffled.

She sank into deep thought, trying to make sense of it.

Carl remained quiet.

He simply gazed out at the ocean.

After a while…

Carl suddenly looked up.

In the distance, a brilliant streak of light flashed across the sky,

leaving a glowing trail like a teor.

To ordinary people,

it might've looked like a falling star.

But Carl knew better.

He saw it clearly,

The blaze from Tony Stark's jet thrusters.

Tony had finally arrived.

A few seconds later,

Iron Man landed outside the mansion.

He didn't go inside,

Instead, he flew straight toward Carl.

Clearly, he had seen them from the air.

Landing nearby, Tony's voice rang out:

"Mr. Superman!"

"What do you think of my speed, huh? Not bad, right?"

Carl gave him a sidelong glance.

"Too slow."

"I've been waiting forever."

"Uh…"

Tony's face froze.

His suit could rival a fighter jet in speed,

But to Carl, it was still too slow?

Then again…

He rembered how fast Carl had carried him last ti.

Okay, fair.

Compared to that,

his own speed was definitely lacking.

"Alright, alright, let's go inside."

Tony changed the subject quickly.

"Miss Ross, good evening."

"Good evening, Mr. Stark," Betty replied.

The two were acquainted, if not close.

At that mont,

Tony noticed a man lying unconscious beside her.

His clothes were torn and he looked barely conscious.

Tony raised a brow, a bit curious.

"Mind asking… who's that?"

"That's Bruce Banner," Betty said.

"My boyfriend."

"Oh, Bruce, "

Tony had just started to respond,

when he froze mid-sentence.

Wait a minute…

He rembered what Carl had told him earlier,

The Hulk's na was Bruce Banner.

He also recalled Betty had called the Hulk "Bruce."

Which ant…

This man in front of him,

Was the Hulk?!
