"Yes, Holander!"
"We received confird intelligence that a conflict between superpowered individuals occurred here, so we rushed over to take control of the situation."
"We just didn't expect you to be here."
After quickly steadying her emotions, the woman with the slicked-back hair nodded and admitted her identity, briefly explaining the situation to Alex.
"This is within your Departnt of Damage Control's responsibilities. I don't bla you."
"But from now on, you are not to touch this girl. And in the future, you are not to disturb her either."
"That's all. You can leave."
Alex made his demand in a tone that was utterly domineering.
"Could you give a little ti?"
The woman naturally didn't dare to defy Alex's wishes, but she also couldn't just withdraw because of a single sentence.
Unlike Najma and her people, she ca from a legitimate governnt agency.
She couldn't make decisions that casually.
"I need to report this."
She took out her phone and said carefully to Alex.
This was a reasonable request, and Alex wasn't so overbearing as to refuse even that.
He said nothing—nor did he object.
The woman imdiately stepped aside, made a quick call, then returned.
"All units, stand down!"
Soon after, she ca back and imdiately called out to her agents.
"Sorry about that, Holander."
After offering that line, she led all her agents away.
"Holander, they were agents, right?"
"You were so cool just now!"
Kamala stared at Alex with starry eyes, full of admiration.
"All right, go back and think it over."
"When you've decided, let know."
Alex patted Kamala gently on the head.
"But Holander, I don't have your phone number."
As she said this, anticipation crept onto Kamala's face.
Would she actually get Holander's contact information?
Oh my God—just thinking about it made her excited beyond words.
"Uh…"
Alex rubbed his nose. "I don't have business cards. But when you've decided, just call my na. I'll hear it."
Kamala looked completely confused.
"I don't really understand. Who am I supposed to shout at? Or what? Are you giving so kind of communicator or walkie-talkie?"
If that were the case, that would be even better!
"No. Just shout it out."
"'Holander'? Just like that?"
"That's it. My hearing is a bit better than most people's."
Boom!
After saying that, Alex didn't linger.
He stepped onto his surfboard and shot straight into the sky.
"Holander—Holander was just here!"
"I can't believe Holander actually showed up here!"
"I saw Holander with my own eyes!"
Only then did cries of shock and excitent erupt around them.
Kamala felt lightheaded, as if she were floating into the sky.
"Kamala, you actually know Holander? Oh my God, this is insane!"
"Why didn't you ever tell us!"
Her relatives and friends sward around her, nearly drowning her in questions.
They looked even more excited than Kamala herself.
"Mom, Dad, let's go ho right now."
"I have sothing very important to tell you!"
Kamala had no ti to deal with anyone else and excitedly said this to her parents.
After getting ho, Kamala told them everything.
That Nightlight—who had gone viral online—was actually her.
That she'd pulled the fire alarm at the wedding because the ClanDestines had attacked.
That Holander had co looking for her because he wanted the bracelet.
She told them everything.
Her parents listened in a daze.
They'd argued before about Nightlight—so for, so against.
Who could have imagined it was their own daughter?
"Kamala, if Holander wants that bracelet, then give it to him," her mother said.
"Listen to your mom. Sothing this troubleso is better not kept."
"If Holander wants it, we can't protect it anyway."
"But if even Holander wants it, I'm even more curious what it actually is," her father added.
After learning the truth, her parents and brother all shared their thoughts.
They were extrely curious about the bracelet and now realized it was no simple object—they'd all underestimated it.
But…
No matter what they thought, Holander had spoken. No one dared oppose him.
Besides, he was offering to trade, not steal.
What's more, the bracelet was being targeted by the ClanDestines—it was far too dangerous.
Handing it to Holander might actually be a good thing.
The family reached an agreent without any trouble.
Next, Kamala called her grandmother in Pakistan and told her everything.
After so hesitation, her grandmother also agreed.
She knew the bracelet was special and held mysterious power—but it was also a burden.
Getting rid of that burden wasn't necessarily a bad thing.
Everything went smoothly. Kamala was ecstatic.
"Holander!"
"Holander, can you hear ?"
Back in her room, Kamala rembered what Alex had told her and tried calling his na.
"This is so stupid…"
"Can Holander really hear this?"
After calling a couple of tis, she felt embarrassed.
If Holander could really hear her voice like this, wouldn't that an he had super hearing?
That was way too exaggerated, wasn't it?
"I can hear you just fine."
"I told you I could."
Suddenly, a voice sounded.
Kamala turned her head in shock—and scread.
"Holander!"
She imdiately realized she'd shouted too loudly and clamped her hands over her mouth, her face filled with disbelief and excitent.
"You really appeared!"
"You're like a genie from a lamp—you actually showed up!"
"This is way too amazing!"
Kamala was so excited she could barely contain herself.
"So," Alex said calmly, waiting until she settled down, then smiling at her,
"have you made your decision?"
