From all directions, one gigantic monster after another crawled out of the ground.

But when disaster struck, no matter how many tis he prayed, the gods never appeared.
In the end, he could only watch helplessly as his daughter died in his arms.
Even then, his faith in the gods hadn't wavered.
Yet the gods rcilessly mocked and ridiculed him—
They even tried to kill him!

Then Gorr's entire body was sent flying like a cannonball, shooting straight toward outer space.

Black "vines" suddenly burst forth from the ground behind Gorr.
They wrapped tightly around him, stabilizing his body in midair.
