As Windblade was battling Siryn, a sudden chill ran down his spine—he had the eerie feeling of being targeted by a wild beast.

"Havok, Siryn, Darwin—you three help Charles locate and destroy whatever's blocking his psychic powers!"

"As for the rest, Erik and I can handle them!"

Alex issued commands as he walked forward, addressing the surrounding mutants.

In his eyes, none of these enemies were a real threat. With his current strength, taking them out wasn't even a challenge.

The only real problem... was the Black King.

The guy was just ridiculous. You could stand there and stab him all day and he still wouldn't die.

Without Charles' abilities backing them up, this guy was practically invincible.

"Got it!"

"Understood, Alex!"

Voices echoed in agreent.

Alex's reputation among them had long since solidified—and after that earlier display of power where he took down two enemies in a flash of lightning, no one dared question his decisions.

The others moved out without hesitation.

Havok, Siryn, and Darwin quickly grouped up with Charles.

Charles agreed with Alex's assessnt as well. Before leaving with Moira and the other three mutants, he gave Alex and Erik a simple reminder: "Be careful."

Alex calmly made his way toward Erik.

The enemy's remaining forces—Windblade, Ninja, and Nailman—had grouped up as well. For the mont, the two sides stood in silent standoff.

"Alex, you really are a thorn in my side."

The Black King's voice rang out, his tone a mixture of exasperation and admiration. "I didn't expect your body to be this resilient... That one misstep cost us the upper hand."

In his original plan, Windshifter was supposed to be the perfect counter to Alex—and no one had expected Alex to actually kill her.

After all, wind was sothing you couldn't really kill.

The plan was simple: once everyone else had taken care of their targets, Alex would be surrounded and overwheld. Ga over.

But who could've known Alex's body was tough enough to tank her blade?

And just like that, their secret weapon was the first one to fall—completely blowing up their ga plan.

"Alex, keep the others off my back."

Erik's voice cut through, eyes locked onto Shaw like he was ready to breathe fire.

"Go, Erik. I've got this covered," Alex replied without hesitation.

He knew full well that attacking Shaw without Charles' support was a waste of effort—worse, it might even make Shaw stronger.

But he also knew that Erik, with his mother's killer standing right in front of him, would never back down.

Erik nodded to Alex and headed for the stairs.

Naturally, the enemy trio wasn't about to let Erik go after their boss unchecked.

Nailman imdiately reached out to stop him.

Zzzzap!

Before he could do a thing, Alex's heat vision blasted toward him.

Nailman's expression twisted as he dodged on instinct, completely forgetting about Erik.

Zzzzap!

Alex didn't let up. His heat beams swept toward Windblade and Ninja, forcing all three to scatter and scramble for cover.

None of them could spare a second for Erik now.

Crack!

In the next instant, Alex stomped down, cracking the floor, and launched himself like a cannonball toward the trio—landing with a crash directly in front of them, cutting off their path to Erik.

"Your fight is with ."

Alex locked eyes with the three mutants, then drew a dagger in each hand and charged.

Zing zing zing zing!

Nailman retaliated by shooting several razor-sharp nails at him, and Windblade followed up with a slicing gust of wind.

But with Alex's super hearing, dynamic vision, and insane speed, these attacks were like slow-motion. The openings were massive.

With graceful dodges and precise deflections using his daggers, Alex closed the distance in seconds—right up in Nailman's face.

For a ranged fighter like Nailman, this was nightmare fuel.

His face twisted in panic—he sucked at close combat, especially against soone like Alex, who was basically a living tank.

Clang!

Fortunately, the Ninja stepped in at the last second, slashing down with his katana to protect Nailman.

Clang!

A sharp tallic ring echoed as Alex caught the strike with one of his daggers—effortlessly.

And at the sa mont...

Zzzzap!

A blast of heat vision at point-blank range.

No way Nailman could dodge that—not with how close they were.

"Ugh!"

Nailman let out a grunt as he was blasted off his feet, slamming hard into the ground.

Unlike the feral Wolfman, Nailman didn't have the body to tank a hit like that and keep going.

That one shot took him out of the fight for good.

"Owen!"

Windblade roared in fury, lashing out with another wind slash. The Ninja also closed in again, swinging his blade at Alex.

Whoosh!

But Alex activated his burst of speed, easily evading both attacks and darting straight toward Windblade.

Everyone understood what he was doing.

Just like with Nailman—he was going to take them out one by one.

Knowing it was one thing. Stopping it? Entirely another.

Crack!

With a single leap, Alex crossed over five ters like a missile and landed right in front of Windblade.

His daggers slashed out with deadly precision.

Windblade barely managed to dodge—just barely.

But—

Zzzzap!

Right along his escape path—another heat ray was waiting.

Windblade was down.

In just a few short monts, only one was left standing.

The Ninja's face was a ss of shock and disbelief.

How long had it been? Two more allies down, just like that.

This kid... was way too dangerous.

Swish swish!

Still, the Ninja didn't waste ti on words. He gripped his katana and charged again.

Clang clang clang!

The sound of tal clashing rang through the hall.
