> "No… this isn't good!"
"Even Holander got hit?!"
Batman's pupils contracted sharply, his brow furrowing in disbelief.
With Alex's power, there was no way he should've been frozen so easily.
Was Mr. Freeze really that strong?
---
> "Damn it—Holander's frozen solid!"
"He was defeated just like that?"
The crowd of reporters outside, packed shoulder-to-shoulder, stared in shock.
The invincible, untouchable Holander—
The man who once declared 'I won't allow criminals in Gotham!'—
brought down so easily?
For days, Holander's feats had stunned the city. Everyone expected another miracle.
But this… this looked like a slap in Gotham's collective face.
---
BOOM!
The next mont, the "ice statue" shattered into glittering shards.
Holander's figure erged unscathed, standing tall and composed, not a hint of strain on his face—
as if the freeze ray had been nothing more than a light breeze.
> "What's the matter?"
"Was that supposed to cool off?"
Alex glanced at Mr. Freeze with mocking amusent.
Freeze's eyes went wide—pure shock on his face.
> "You… you're completely fine?"
Was this man even human?
He'd taken a direct blast from the Freeze Gun, and not even his cape had frost on it.
Impossible.
But then Freeze realized sothing.
The reason he'd landed the shot so easily…
was because Alex hadn't even tried to dodge.
He simply didn't care.
---
> "I don't believe it!"
Furious, Freeze aid his weapon again.
Click!
Before he could fire, Alex reached out casually and grabbed the barrel.
He'd let the first hit slide out of curiosity—
but a second shot?
Dream on.
CRUNCH!
With a light squeeze, the weapon shattered in Alex's grip, reduced to a handful of scrap tal.
Freeze's eyes bulged. Fear flickered behind his visor.
His trump card—his pride—was useless.
And for the first ti, he panicked.
---
> "Stop right there! Or we'll kill the hostages!"
His remaining henchn scread, pressing their guns to the frozen clerks' heads.
Their voices trembled despite the threats—they knew exactly what kind of man they were dealing with.
But Alex didn't even glance their way.
> "I said it before," he said, his tone like steel.
"I don't allow criminals in Gotham."
"Those who break the law—die."
"No exceptions."
The words echoed across the icy street, every syllable crisp and cold.
Freeze sneered.
> "Oh really? Then tell , 'Holander,' Gotham's new vigilante—what happens when you kill innocent—"
CRACK!
Before he could finish, Alex's fingers tightened.
Freeze's neck snapped like dry wood. His armor shattered, his body limp in Alex's hand.
Just like that—Gotham's coldest criminal was dead.
---
> "Holander, no!"
Batman's shout ca too late.
The whole street froze—not in ice, but in horror.
Holander had killed him.
Completely ignoring the threat to the hostages.
Everyone's minds raced to the sa question—
What about the hostages?
Sure enough—
Freeze's two henchn bared their teeth, eyes wild, and pulled the triggers.
> "No!"
Batman lunged forward, cape flaring—
but it was hopeless.
No matter how fast he was, he couldn't outrun a bullet.
But then—
He froze mid-step.
Because at that very instant, Alex raised a hand.
Just one lazy wave.
CRACK!
CRACK!
Two sharp snaps echoed in the air.
The gunn's necks twisted grotesquely. Their bodies hit the ground with dull thuds.
Silence.
Dead silence.
---
Batman stared, stunned.
He… just waved?
And they died?
Even for him, this was beyond comprehension.
But Alex paid no attention to Batman's shock.
He turned his gaze toward the frozen clerks, lifted his hand again, and released a pulse of invisible force.
CLANG! CLANG!
The ice encasing them cracked and fell away, scattering across the floor.
The hostages gasped, trembling as life returned to their limbs.
> "H-Holander… thank you!"
"Thank you for saving us!"
They could still rember everything—they'd been aware, even trapped inside the ice, faintly sensing the chaos outside.
Now they were free.
Alex just waved dismissively.
> "No need to thank ."
His tone was casual, as if he'd done sothing utterly insignificant.
---
> "Once again—Holander has stopped a cri in progress!"
"Holander has done what neither the GCPD nor Batman could!"
"Even a supervillain like Mr. Freeze was no match for him!"
"Holander has proven it—Gotham can always trust Holander!"
The square outside erupted into cheers.
Reporters were shouting over one another, adrenaline pumping as they broadcast live.
This was history—
the kind of footage that would define their careers.
And then, they saw him—
Holander, stepping calmly out of the jewelry store, the sunset glinting off his suit.
Every cara swiveled toward him.
Reporters surged forward like a tidal wave.
> "Holander!"
"Holander!"
"Holander!"
Microphones, caras, and lights all crowded around him in a frenzied blur.
And through it all, Alex just smiled faintly—
the savior of Gotham, standing tall amidst the chaos.
