BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The earth convulsed beneath each thunderous footfall, as though nature itself recoiled from the Juggernaut's advance. Trees snapped in half like matchsticks, birds fled the skies in frenzied flocks, and dust billowed outward in thick clouds.

The Juggernaut—towering, unstoppable, utterly monstrous—charged forward with a speed that defied physics, each step gouging craters into the ground.

Before Havok could so much as blink, the nightmare was upon him.

His instincts kicked in, adrenaline surging. Havok gritted his teeth and threw his hands forward.

WHUP-WHUP-WHUP!

A barrage of concussive energy erupted from his palms in rapid succession, the glowing blasts streaking across the battlefield like miniature suns.

They struck true—

But did nothing.

The Juggernaut's armored form shuddered slightly. That was it.

No damage. No slowdown. Not even a flinch.

His entire body was wrapped in a glowing, translucent field—nearly a foot thick and pulsing with raw, impenetrable energy.

He didn't even feel it, Havok thought grimly, eyes widening.

He was strong—one of the strongest among the X-n's younger generation. But this wasn't just a mismatch. It was a slaughter waiting to happen.

WHAM!

There was no ti to dodge.

The Juggernaut's fist swung down like a wrecking ball powered by a god's fury, slamming into Havok's chest with a sickening crunch.

CRASH!

Havok's body rocketed through the air, leaving a blur of motion behind as he blasted through a tree, then a boulder, then another tree—

BOOM!

He finally skidded to a stop against a rocky outcrop, leaving a crater behind.

"ALEX!"

Banshee's voice tore through the chaos, desperate, panicked. He didn't wait. He surged forward with reckless abandon, his face contorted with rage.

"You bastard—!"

ZZZOOOOM!

His scream shattered the air itself. The sonic waves blasted toward the Juggernaut with terrifying force, tearing up the terrain and shattering the ground in their path.

But the Juggernaut didn't stop.

He kept moving.

Unbothered.

Unstoppable.

"Another one begging to die!"

He grinned, a vicious gleam in his eyes as he lowered his head and charged right through the scream.

Like it was nothing.

FLASH!

Suddenly, a blur appeared—Darwin. He moved with uncanny precision, calculating risk and adapting in real ti.

In a split second, his skin transford—shifting from flesh to gleaming, tallic plating, dense and resilient like Colossus.

He dove between Banshee and the incoming punch.

CLANG!

The Juggernaut's fist t Darwin's crossed arms.

tal rang out like a struck gong.

The shockwave rippled across the battlefield, sending dirt, debris, and shattered stone flying outward.

Darwin grunted, teeth clenched—his arms bending inward as the impossible force slamd into him.

He couldn't hold it.

BOOM!

The impact hurled Darwin like a cannonball, his body slamming into Banshee. Both mutants were knocked back dozens of ters, tumbling across the broken landscape like rag dolls.

THUD!

They finally crashed into the hillside, coughing blood, disoriented and bruised.

Darwin groaned, struggling to rise. His body was already shifting, trying to find a form that could resist that insane level of power.

But nothing was enough.

Even his adaptive powers couldn't keep up.

That… thing was beyond reason.

His gaze snapped toward the crater where Havok had landed.

Alex wasn't moving.

Was he breathing? Was he alive?

"Enough."

The word wasn't shouted. It didn't need to be.

It was sharp. Commanding.

It cut through the battle like a blade.

All eyes turned.

Charles Xavier stood tall, his usually calm deanor replaced by visible fury.

"Charles!"

The Juggernaut's voice was a snarl of mockery, laced with venom.

"You cowardly bastard—finally showing your face?"

His laughter rolled like thunder, booming across the scorched field.

"Who the hell are you?!"

Charles stepped forward slowly, his brow furrowed in confusion and alarm.

This man knew him. Intimately. Personally. But Charles had no mory of him.

And worse—

His powers weren't working.

His mind couldn't penetrate the Juggernaut's.

It was like trying to read a brick wall.

No… sothing's interfering.

Charles didn't know it, but this invincibility wasn't natural. It wasn't even the Juggernaut's own doing.

It was Mister Sinister.

Watching. Manipulating. Smiling in the dark.

Because this entire attack wasn't about Xavier.

It was about Alex.

If Charles could simply paralyze the Juggernaut, Alex would never need to show up.

And Sinister couldn't allow that.

The Juggernaut's armor began to recede, dissolving in tendrils of crimson energy until only the man underneath remained.

A man Charles hadn't seen in years.

"…Cain?"

His voice cracked.

Shock. Horror.

"Surprised?" Cain snarled.

His face was filled with hate. Not just resentnt—pure, burning betrayal.

"You left to die in that cave, Charles. You moved on. You forgot . But I never forgot you."

"Cain—"

"Don't."

The fury in Cain's eyes was blinding.

"Save your lies. Nothing will save you now."

And with that, the transformation returned. The armor reford in an instant, engulfing him in crimson tal once again.

The Juggernaut charged.

Faster than before.

More violent.

Charles pressed his fingers to his temple, trying one last ti to stop him.

Nothing.

All he could do was brace for the inevitable.

"PROFESSOR!"

"CHARLES!"

Banshee, Darwin, the other students—everyone scread, helpless to intervene.

The Juggernaut's fist arced downward, glowing with montum.

There was no ti to dodge.

No ti to think.

No ti—

BOOM!

The air exploded.

A sonic boom cracked across the landscape, followed by a streak of light.

A figure appeared—

Descending like a thunderbolt from heaven.

WHAM!

A single punch t the Juggernaut's attack.

The shockwave cracked the sky.

And the Juggernaut—unstoppable, invincible, unchallenged—was blown backward.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

He smashed through the remains of the school's outer wall, bounced across the ground, and finally lay still in a smoldering crater.

Silence.

Then—

"ALEX!"

"IT'S ALEX!"

Voices shouted in unison.

Banshee. Darwin. Every student who had been trembling in terror just monts before now roared in sheer relief and elation.

The fear lted away.

Hope returned.

Because he was here.

The strongest mutant.

And he'd just reminded the world why.

Charles exhaled slowly, staring at the young man who now stood between him and certain death.

"Alex… What are you doing here?"

Alex didn't look away from the crater.

His eyes were narrow. Calculating.

"You called Emma for help, didn't you?"

Charles's expression tightened.

Realization dawned on both of them at the sa ti.

This wasn't just an attack.

This was a trap.

A trap not for the school.

Not for Charles.

For Alex.
