Suddenly, a sleek silver spacecraft appeared above their heads. Its exterior was smooth and shimring, glistening as if polished to perfection—like a flawless tallic egg adrift in the void.

"Alright… and which faction's ship is this supposed to be now?" Gamora muttered, her tone drained of energy. At this point, she was already beginning to regret ever getting mixed up with this ragtag bunch.

"Get on the ship!"

The vessel slowly descended behind them. An elderly man with silver-white hair leaned out, calling down to the Guardians of the Galaxy in a loud, urgent voice:

"I'm not your enemy—I'm here to save you!"

Despite his anxious tone, the old man carried himself with an undeniable sense of majesty. He seed almost godlike, his bearing radiating a natural nobility and elegance.

Star-Lord and Gamora exchanged a long look—both understanding exactly what the other was thinking.

"Groot!" Star-Lord bellowed.

"I am Groot!" ca the deep, resonant reply.

Groot slamd both hands into the ground, his wooden fingers digging deep. In an instant, countless vines erupted upward from the earth. At first, they looked harmless—gentle tendrils swaying in the air. But in a heartbeat, their tips hardened into razor-sharp spears that glimred nacingly before skewering their enemies with brutal precision.

As a mber of the Flora Colossus species, Groot possessed a brilliant mind and unique physiology: phenonal regenerative abilities—capable of regrowing from just a small fragnt given water and nutrients. His body wielded imnse strength and resilience, able to grow to colossal size at will, and stretch like living rubber to strike foes. He could also release spores to control other plants—or even heal allies.

And right now, he was using every bit of that power to devastating effect.

With most of their attackers dispatched, Star-Lord's eyes drifted to the distance—landing on a blue-skinned alien with a tall crimson fin atop his head.

"Yondu," Star-Lord called out with a smirk. "Guess you didn't see this one coming, huh?"

"Is that so, Star-Lord? This how you greet your father?" Yondu shot back with a sneer.

A red-glowing arrow shot into the air, whistling viciously as it tore toward Star-Lord. The sound alone was enough to send shivers down the spine.

"You guys get moving! Groot and I can get out another way!" Rocket Raccoon shouted over the chaos. "Once you reach the rendezvous point, send us the coordinates. We'll fix the ship and co find you."

Star-Lord hesitated for only a mont before giving Rocket a firm nod. He grabbed Gamora and Drax, and together they scrambled aboard the silver-haired old man's ship.

The mont they were inside, the vessel lifted off—transforming into a streak of silver-white light that vanished into the distance.

"Looks like it's just you and now," Rocket muttered, glancing at the tiny sapling version of Groot beside him. "And I swear, kid, don't you dare slow down."

"I am Groot!"

anwhile, inside the ship, Star-Lord's head was spinning.

"Wait—what did you just say? You're… my father?"

The old man's gaze softened.

"That's right, Quill. Your mother's na was redith Quill. And that mixtape you're always playing—'Aweso Mix Vol. 1'—" Ego, Star-Lord's father, smiled warmly. "My child… do you believe now?"

Shock crashed over Star-Lord, followed by an overwhelming wave of joy. After years of wandering, searching, and not knowing, he had finally found his real father—and his father was… well, not exactly ordinary.

"Hahaha!" Ego laughed heartily, reaching over to ruffle Star-Lord's hair. "Quill, my boy, your father has a gift for you. We're just about to arrive at our planet."

Through the ship's viewport, they could see it—looming in the distance. A massive planet drifting through the void, its atmosphere a swirling canvas of dazzling colors.

"This," Ego said with pride, "is the planet nad after —Ego. It is where we're headed now. You're my son, and your friends are welco here. Think of this place as your ho."

"Damn…" Drax muttered, his eyes wide. "An entire planet as a base? That's—"

"Language," Gamora cut in, shooting him a cold glare.

The ship descended gracefully onto Ego's surface, touching down with such precision it didn't disturb so much as a single blade of grass.

Stepping out, Star-Lord, Gamora, and Drax froze in awe.

Before them stretched a sea of flowers and lush greenery, endless fields rolling out to the horizon beneath a warm golden sky. The beauty was intoxicating—almost surreal.

"Welco to my world!" Ego declared, throwing his arms wide in a grand gesture. "Everything you see here is yours. Treat it as your ho."

Even Gamora felt her guarded heart waver for a mont. Drax's jaw hung open in pure astonishnt—an entire planet as a base of operations for the Guardians? The possibilities were staggering.

"You must all be tired from the journey," Ego said, his eyes glinting with shifting light. "Co, rest in your rooms."
