Before this, Galactus's attitude toward Luo Bai had been filled with rage.
After all, Luo Bai—an "insignificant" creature from Earth—had repeatedly provoked him, a so-called "god."
But the mont Luo Bai used teleportation magic to retrieve a "lighter," Galactus's temper improved significantly.
Not only was he no longer angry, but his gaze toward Luo Bai beca noticeably gentler.
Seeing Galactus's softened expression, Luo Bai smirked.
He twirled the "lighter" in his hand and asked, "Now, can we have a proper discussion?"
"......"
A long silence followed before Galactus finally answered, "Of course... we can."
As soon as he spoke, a forced, stiff smile ford on his face.
To be honest, it was an ugly smile.
But Luo Bai didn't mind. He simply continued, "You ca to Earth unannounced, leading your heralds in a massacre.
I think you owe Earth an explanation.
As its guardian, I absorbed so of your energy to strengthen the planet.
That doesn't seem unreasonable, does it?"
If Luo Bai had said this before, Galactus would have exploded with fury.
But now, his mood was surprisingly stable.
While keeping his eyes locked on the "lighter" in Luo Bai's hand, he smiled and replied, "Actually, I think your reasoning is fair... but I still need energy."
Luo Bai frowned slightly, clearly displeased, prompting Galactus to quickly continue, "You ntioned the 'Divine Rune' earlier, which ans you must already know why I devour planets across the universe..."
Before he could finish, Luo Bai interrupted, "I know. You are the lock that seals the Talisman.
If you were to die, the Talisman would be released.
The Talisman is the embodint of destruction, and its sole purpose is to lead the multiverse into ruin.
The only reason it hasn't appeared yet is that you're still alive, correct?"
"Yes!" Galactus nodded, confirming Luo Bai's explanation.
But Luo Bai wasn't convinced.
He glanced at the "lighter" in his hand and countered, "But if I rember correctly, this thing can erase the Talisman."
"You don't even understand what you're holding," Galactus sneered. "Do you really think you can use it just because you have it?"
Luo Bai chuckled casually. "Oh? Is it really that difficult to use? How about I test it on you right now and see if I can figure it out?"
With that, he raised the "lighter" and waved it in front of Galactus.
That single motion made Galactus's heart skip a beat.
As if terrified that Luo Bai might accidentally trigger the device, Galactus quickly warned, "This is not a toy! Don't play around with it!!"
Luo Bai sighed in mock helplessness. "But didn't you just say I couldn't use it? Why are you so scared, then?"
Galactus: "......"
Silence.
Another long, heavy silence.
As Luo Bai casually flicked the "lighter" in his hand, Galactus felt an unprecedented sense of panic.
He knew full well that Luo Bai had only brought out the "lighter" to threaten him.
Normally, Galactus detested being threatened.
But what could he do?
Because what Luo Bai was holding wasn't just a lighter—it was his fate.
There is no shortage of powerful artifacts in the Marvel Universe.
However, very few truly rank among the strongest across the entire multiverse.
The Infinity Stones might be considered one such set, but they aren't the most powerful artifacts in existence.
Above them stands the Ultimate Nullifier.
In truth, the Ultimate Nullifier has rarely appeared. Compared to the well-known Infinity Stones, the Ultimate Nullifier remains almost unheard of by the average being in a single universe.
But Luo Bai, ard with knowledge of the storyline, knew very well that the artifact Galactus feared most was this—the Ultimate Nullifier.
After all, this thing... had the power to erase Galactus himself.
Luo Bai didn't know exactly how the Ultimate Nullifier was created, but he did know that it had been stored aboard Galactus's spaceship.
Since the Nullifier resembled a tal lighter, Luo Bai preferred to call it a "Lighter."
The Ultimate Nullifier's function wasn't overly complicated.
Unlike the Infinity Stones, it didn't control ti, manipulate souls, or reshape reality.
But that didn't diminish its power in the slightest.
Because its sole ability was erasure.
It could erase anything in the multiverse.
Even the multiverse's original existence itself.
And yes—it could erase Galactus.
In the original plot, this very artifact had once wiped out Galactus, proving without a doubt that it had the power to annihilate him.
Of course...
As powerful as the Ultimate Nullifier was, it wasn't without its limitations.
Its only limitation is... its user.
Simply put, the stronger the user, the greater the power it can unleash.
In addition to raw ability, its effectiveness is also greatly influenced by the user's willpower and mindset.
If an ordinary human with no abilities were to acquire it, it might really just be a lighter—or worse, they might end up being counterattacked by its power.
But Luo Bai obtaining it... that's a completely different story.
Not to ntion that Luo Bai's original strength was already formidable—even setting that aside, his insane luck alone would make destroying the entire multiverse more than possible.
Of course, Luo Bai had no interest in actually wiping out the multiverse.
He was using the Ultimate Nullifier mainly to scare Galactus.
After all, there were only two things in the universe that could truly frighten Galactus—hunger and the Ultimate Nullifier.
And sure enough, the mont he laid eyes on the Nullifier, Galactus's attitude took a complete 180.
He very quickly agreed to be a "power bank."
"Providing energy for the power of the fairies? Fine, I can agree to that," Galactus said helplessly. "But... can you stop playing around with the Ultimate Nullifier?!"
Seeing that he had agreed, Luo Bai smiled in satisfaction. "You see? Things would've been much easier if you'd just agreed earlier. But hey, better late than never! Welco to the 'Volunteer Association'~~~ Galactus."
With that, Luo Bai pulled out a magic contract and handed it over.
Galactus frowned as he took the contract, and soon, his gaze landed on the words:
I am Galan, also known as Galactus.
I voluntarily agree to never invade Earth again for the rest of my existence and to provide Luo Bai with cosmic energy.
Furthermore, I pledge to establish a friendly and equal cooperative relationship with Luo Bai, working together to protect Earth, safeguard the multiverse, and seal the Talisman.
After reading it, Galactus fell silent.
Instead of signing his na imdiately, he asked the one question that had been bothering him the most.
"How did you find the Ultimate Nullifier?"
Logically speaking, Luo Bai should have had no way of knowing where it was stored.
How could a re human possibly know where Galactus had hidden the Ultimate Nullifier?
And yet, Luo Bai had retrieved it so easily, as if he knew exactly where to look.
It didn't make sense.
Unless... soone had been helping him.
Galactus narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
But Luo Bai's answer caught him completely off guard.
"Oh, that?" Luo Bai chuckled. "Well... you nad it. I just made a guess... you nad it by coincidence... and it just happened to be there, so I picked it up."
