Odin had three children in total.

In addition to Thor and Loki, he also had a daughter—Hela.

Strictly speaking, Hela was his eldest child, making her Thor and Loki's older sister.

Unlike Thor and Loki, Hela was not only imnsely powerful but also exceptionally intelligent.

When Odin conquered the Nine Realms, Hela's contributions were indispensable.

After all, in the past, she was not only the vanguard of his conquests but also the executioner of Asgard and the original wielder of Mjolnir.

"Thor doesn't know that he has a sister nad Hela," Odin said. "When the Nine Realms were still unstable, she fought alongside and played a crucial role in unifying them."

"She was the most outstanding of all my children. But as the Goddess of Death, she embodies death and cruelty, which ans she was destined never to stop killing."

"After the Nine Realms were united, I wanted to end the wars and rule with benevolence. But her ambitions grew uncontrollable—she wanted to conquer the entire universe. I had no choice but to seal her away. But now... I fear I may no longer be able to contain her."

Odin sighed, his face heavy with worry.

Luo Bai imdiately understood his concerns. After all, Ragnarok was approaching.

It was Asgard's destined end, though it seed that Hela's return was the catalyst.

But the truth was far more complicated.

Ragnarok and Hela's rebellion signified sothing Odin could not stop, no matter how much he wished to control it.

Luo Bai suspected that Odin's visit to Kamar-Taj was not just a casual visit—it was to discuss this very matter.

Realizing this, Luo Bai didn't bother being tactful. He asked directly, "God King, you didn't co to Kamar-Taj just to relax, did you?"

"Indeed." Odin let out a bitter smile before asking, "Is there a quieter place? We need to talk."

Now that Luo Bai had already set up Kamar-Taj's protective formations, he didn't need to oversee the mages' training.

With that in mind, he responded, "Co with ."

Luo Bai led Odin to Kamar-Taj's main hall.

Since all the mages were training outside, the hall was completely silent.

After entering, Odin found a chair and sat down. Out of courtesy, Luo Bai prepared him a cup of tea.

Taking a sip, Odin couldn't help but sigh. "To be honest, I never expected you to achieve so much at such a young age. It's truly astonishing."

Luo Bai sipped his own tea and smiled. "God King, there's no need for such praise. I know you must have sothing to ask of —after all, no one cos to the Three Treasures Hall without a reason."

Seeing how straightforward Luo Bai was, Odin didn't bother with formalities either.

"You must already know about Ragnarok. It is the end of Asgard, and not even I can prevent it."

"My ti is running out, but Ragnarok isn't the only threat—Hela is another major concern."

"As I told you before, Hela is extrely ambitious. She seeks to conquer the entire universe. I am not sure if Thor can stop her... Compared to his sister, Thor has not yet fully matured."

Odin's voice was deep and grave.

Hearing this, Luo Bai began to understand what he was implying.

"You want to step in and help you deal with your daughter, don't you?" Luo Bai asked.

Odin didn't answer directly. Instead, he let out another sigh. "To be honest, I used to wonder why you were at the center of everything. Why it was you who could change Asgard's fate."

"But now, after witnessing your growth, I finally understand."

"It's not that you need Asgard—it's that Asgard needs you."

Odin's eyes glead with determination.

"So I want to sign an agreent with you."

Luo Bai frowned. "Agreent? What kind of agreent?"

"From now on, everyone in Asgard—including Thor—will follow your lead. You will inherit my will and oversee Asgard's future," Odin said solemnly.

Luo Bai was stunned.

"Wait... are you seriously asking to be the God King?" he asked, half in disbelief.

The next second, Odin shook his head. "If you were to take the throne, the people of Asgard wouldn't accept it. You are not an Asgardian, after all. The God King must be Thor."

"But you can be his ntor."

"The Gungnir and Sleipnir are in your hands now. Even though they have acknowledged you as their master, in the eyes of the Nine Realms, they are symbols of my power."

"If Thor ascends to the throne, you will be his ntor. Everyone in Asgard—including Thor—must follow your guidance."

Luo Bai finally understood Odin's intentions.

In simple terms, Odin wanted him to be the one pulling the strings behind the scenes.

But why?

Why was Odin so willing to entrust such authority to him?

Puzzled, Luo Bai sighed. "Honestly, I'm surprised. I always thought you had absolute faith in Thor. I never expected you to hand over Asgard's real power to instead."

Odin smiled bitterly. He didn't say anything, but his face looked exhausted.

Luo Bai didn't know exactly what was going through his mind, but he did know one thing—Odin had made this decision out of necessity.

"I do trust Thor," Odin admitted, "but I have no choice."

"Your presence has changed everything. I was forced to make this decision."

"It doesn't matter who sits on the throne, nor does it matter who holds the power. What truly matters is that Asgard survives."

"This agreent is not just for the present—it is for the future."

"Only in this way can Ragnarok be truly prevented."

No one knew how long the silence lasted before Odin finally spoke those words.

One had to admit—Odin truly cared for Thor.

It was clear that he was paving the way for his son, ensuring he had a safe and stable future.

Odin's true intentions weren't difficult to guess.

He was exchanging Asgard's authority for Thor's growth.

After all, Thor was still too inexperienced, and there were too many obstacles he could not overco on his own.

And now that Odin's ti was running out, he needed soone he could trust to guide Thor in his place.

From the current perspective, the only person who could take on this role was Luo Bai.

Although Odin's offer sounded quite tempting—granting him real power—Luo Bai couldn't help but feel that it was ultimately useless to him.

Thinking this through, Luo Bai couldn't help but complain, "I understand what you an, God King. But I think the power you're offering is pointless."

Odin frowned and asked, "How can it be useless?! If you agree to sign an agreent with , all of Asgard's warriors will fight for you at your command!"

Luo Bai shrugged and replied nonchalantly, "At present, the soldiers of Asgard... aren't much help to . Your two sons, Thor and Loki, haven't fully matured yet, so they can't assist . As for your daughter... well, she doesn't listen to you at all."

Odin was montarily stunned.

When put that way, it did make sense.

But...

"Thor will grow stronger!" Odin imdiately retorted.

"I don't know how long that will take. Besides, there's no guarantee he'll listen to when he does," Luo Bai muttered.

"..."

Odin fell silent.

He understood what Luo Bai ant.

Coming to Kamar-Taj with such a humble request was already a difficult step for him. Since Luo Bai was unwilling, there was no point in forcing the issue.

With that thought, Odin stood up and said, "I understand your stance. I've disturbed you long enough—I'll take my leave now."

He was just about to leave when Luo Bai unexpectedly spoke up.

"God King, there's no need to leave in such a hurry. I never said I wouldn't help."

Odin's eyes lit up with hope. "Are you willing to assist ?"

"Of course. If... the God King agrees to let absorb just a little bit of Asgard's power, I'd be more than happy to help." Luo Bai responded with a grin.

The mont those words left his mouth, Odin's expression froze.

Damn it.

This guy has a sche!

It was clear that Luo Bai intended to take everything for himself!

Just as Odin felt a headache coming on, Luo Bai continued, "Asgard's power is far less useful than its raw strength.

If you, God King, agree to let absorb a portion of Asgard's power from ti to ti, I'll gladly protect Asgard for you.

Not only will I handle Hela, but even if Ragnarok cos, I'll take care of it for you—permanently!"

As he spoke, Luo Bai flashed a "friendly" smile.

That smile made Odin's scalp tingle.
