Kaecilius stared at the mysterious black-robed figure who had appeared out of nowhere and promised him power. Rather than feel threatened, he felt… excited.

A strange feeling welled up in his chest — the sense that this encounter could change everything.

People didn't just appear at your lowest monts unless sothing was about to shift. Deep down, Kaecilius knew there would be a price to pay. But he didn't care. Power was worth it. That's why he'd co to Kamar-Taj in the first place. And now, this was his chance — not just to gain strength, but to destroy the person who humiliated him: Kurogai.

When the cloaked stranger asked why he wanted power, Kaecilius didn't hesitate.

"If you truly seek power," the stranger said, "then there's one path — the Ancient One's collection. Hidden deep within the library, her private archives contain knowledge of imnse, forbidden strength."

Kaecilius's eyes lit up. That collection was real?

But when he looked up to question the stranger, the figure had already vanished — as if he were never there. Still, Kaecilius couldn't forget his words.

The Ancient One's collection… forbidden knowledge… a path to true power.

If that knowledge could make Kurogai as powerful as he was, then Kaecilius would claim it for himself. In his mind, it was already done.

Elsewhere in Kamar-Taj, within a concealed chamber, the cloaked man materialized once again. He lowered his hood — revealing the face of Karl Mordo.

That's right. It was Mordo who had planted the seed in Kaecilius's mind.

Originally, Mordo had intended to deal with Kurogai himself — but after witnessing the boy's magical skill firsthand, he reconsidered. He wasn't sure if his plan would succeed anymore. So instead, he nudged Kaecilius toward the darkness, knowing full well what might happen next.

"I hope that boy surprises ," Mordo muttered, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

It was a subtle manipulation — a test. He was curious to see what Kaecilius would do next.

---

anwhile, Kurogai was completely unaware of the danger growing in the shadows — not that he would've cared even if he knew.

He had more pressing concerns.

After the battle, Kurogai had gained a much clearer picture of his magical capabilities. Based on his own analysis, he was now confident that his magic surpassed most of the Kamar-Taj sorcerers.

If he had to place himself on a scale, he felt he might even stand toe-to-toe with the Sanctum guardians who protected the three Sanctums around the world. Whether he would win or not was uncertain — after all, he had never fought them in earnest.

His past duel with Mordo didn't count. He hadn't used pure magic back then — just other skills. So that wasn't a fair benchmark.

But one thing was certain: the gap between him and the Ancient One was still massive.

The Mirror Dinsion alone was proof of that — a realm Kurogai hadn't even begun to understand. The Ancient One's strength wasn't just raw power; it was deep-rooted, refined through years of study and experience. Kurogai had a long way to go.

"Why is my magic power so overwhelming compared to everyone else's…?"

That question had lingered in his mind for so ti, but the battle made the difference even more obvious. The magic within him was vast — far more than what even the Ancient One had expected. Kurogai hadn't understood it at first, but now he had a theory.

"It must be the Eye… or rather…"

He closed his eyes, reaching inward.

"Ultimate Eye… this is your doing, isn't it?"

He sat in ditation, examining the mysterious power within himself. Ti passed.

Finally, he opened his eyes.

"As I thought… it's the Ultimate Eye."

The truth beca clear. The Ultimate Eye hadn't just altered his vision — it had slowly begun to modify his physical body to withstand the powers it could wield.

So advanced ocular techniques placed enormous strain on the user. Without a reinforced body, using them could cause internal collapse. So when the Ultimate Eye evolved, it had subtly reshaped his body as well — crafting a new vessel that could endure what normal flesh never could.

That transformation had a na: the Ultimate Body.

The change had been subtle, almost invisible. While the eye's visual mutations were obvious — even down to his heterochromia — the bodily enhancents were far less noticeable. That was why the feedback from the Ultimate Eye hadn't ntioned it until now.

But now Kurogai understood: he no longer had an ordinary human body. His entire form had been altered — not to grant him new powers, but to support the imnse abilities of the Ultimate Eye.

His body had evolved to serve a single purpose:

To beco the perfect host for power.
