The Next Afternoon.

New York International Airport.

On weekends, the airport is bustling with people, and all kinds of individuals pass through the security gates. In a fast-paced city like New York, not many people slow down.

At the bus stop outside the terminal, two figures, one tall and one short, each pulling a suitcase, stood under the sun, waiting for the bus.

"Go out to save the world, go round and round, and co back," Finn said, stretching his body and taking a deep breath as he looked at the bustling city.

Even though they had only been away for three days, it felt like an eternity. So much had happened in those three days that it was hard to believe it had been such a short ti.

"That wasn't saving the world. It was all a hoax," Wanda replied, thinking about the so-called end-of-the-world mission they had been part of, which turned out to be nothing more than an elaborate ruse.

"Don't bla yourself. It's that Mysterio guy's fault," Finn said with a reassuring smile.

"Besides, stopping him was still a morable thing. If we hadn't, I can't imagine how many more people would have been deceived."

"Yeah, Mysterio was right. Most people only believe what they see. Only a few care about the truth," Wanda sighed deeply.

After everything they had been through in those three days, she knew she wouldn't trust anyone so easily in the future.

"No one's wrong. People just want to believe what they see," Finn thought to himself. In this chaotic world, what could ordinary people do? They could only sit in front of their TVs and watch the daily news, unable to verify whether it was true or not.

"The No. 11 bus has arrived," a voice announced.

At that mont, a bus pulled up in front of them, and Wanda tugged Finn onto it. Since it wasn't peak hours, there were plenty of empty seats.

The two boarded the bus, and Finn sat by the window. He wasn't used to riding buses and often got motion sickness, so he always chose the window seat. The scenery outside helped ease the nausea.

The bus was headed to the train station. Finn and Wanda planned to take a train back to Westview. It was much faster than driving.

"The bus seems to be going through Brooklyn," Wanda said, glancing at the route map.

"Yeah, why? Sothing on your mind?" Finn asked.

"Nothing, just thinking of an old friend," Wanda replied softly.

"Captain Arica?" Finn guessed without hesitation. It had to be one of the Avengers' Big Three—Steve Rogers.

In the previous world, Captain Arica had been a controversial figure. So saw him as a hypocrite with double standards, while others a

dmired him for his democratic ideals, his sense of justice, and his ability to see the bigger picture.

Regardless, Captain Arica was undeniably one of the most important figures in the Avengers.

"He was a good man. I wish you could have t him, but he's gone now," Wanda said, her voice tinged with sadness.

She suddenly froze, her brow furrowing as she looked toward the front of the bus.

"Wanda?" Finn noticed her expression and imdiately felt a sense of unease.

Before he could warn the driver, it happened.

**BANG!**

As the bus approached an intersection, a black van speeding from the right side of the road suddenly slamd into them.

"F***!" the bus driver cursed, his face pale as he yanked the steering wheel to avoid a full collision.

The bus tilted sharply, and the passengers were thrown to one side, grabbing onto anything they could to steady themselves.

Even with the driver's quick reflexes, the front of the bus still scraped against the van, shaking violently before crashing into the sidewalk guardrail.

**SCREECH!**

Black smoke billowed from the front of the bus, and the passengers sat in stunned silence, their faces pale with fear.

"What the hell? Are you trying to kill us?" the driver shouted, unbuckling his seatbelt and preparing to confront the van's driver.

But before he could step out, a group of masked n ard with guns erged from the van. The leader, a burly man, imdiately pointed his gun at the bus driver.

"If you don't want to die, open the door," the man said coldly, his voice as chilling as the gun in his hand.

No one dared to refuse.

"Great, just what we needed—urban terrorists in this damn country!" one passenger muttered under his breath.

"These lunatics aren't going to let anyone go," another whispered, their voice trembling.

The passengers were paralyzed with fear, their faces pale as they sat frozen in their seats.

"Wanda, you seem to have a knack for attracting criminals," Finn whispered with a smirk, trying to lighten the mood.

"Nonsense. Every ti we run into trouble, you're right there with . Maybe it's you who's the magnet," Wanda shot back, sticking her tongue out at him playfully.

She sighed, looking at the ard n outside. Just when they thought the Mysterio ordeal was over, they found themselves in the middle of another crisis—this ti, a hijacking.

Only in Arica could sothing like this happen. But even here, a group of ard n hijacking a bus in broad daylight was a rare occurrence. Yet, here they were.

"Don't shoot! I'll open the door!" the bus driver stamred, his hands shaking as he unlocked the door.

"Smart move," the leader said, stepping onto the bus with his gun raised. His eyes scanned the terrified passengers, a cruel smirk playing on his lips.

"Everyone, cooperate, and no one gets hurt," he announced.

As he spoke, his gaze landed on a woman in a scarlet coat sitting near the back. Her striking beauty and piercing eyes imdiately caught his attention.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" the leader said, his tone dripping with lecherous intent. "Sweetheart, I know you might think you've got so advantages, but this gun doesn't care about that. Sit down and behave."

Wanda's eyes narrowed, and a cold aura emanated from her. She stood up slowly, her hands glowing with scarlet energy.

"You're making a big mistake," she said, her voice icy.

In the back seat, Finn watched the scene unfold, his expression darkening as he saw the way the leader was looking at Wanda. His fists clenched, and a cold glint appeared in his eyes.

"Hey, buddy, watch your eyes. Even if she's your girlfriend, she's mine now," one of the thugs sneered at Finn, making a slashing motion across his throat. "Or else—"

But before he could finish, his words caught in his throat. An invisible force wrapped around his neck, cutting off his air supply.

"Third!" the leader shouted, turning to see his henchman struggling against the scarlet energy wrapped around his neck.

When he looked back at Wanda, he t her glowing red eyes, and a chill ran down his spine. His gun hand trembled, frozen in place.

"You don't deserve to live," Wanda said coldly, her voice echoing with power.

With a flick of her wrist, the leader was thrown out of the bus window, crashing onto the pavent outside.

"Boss!" another thug shouted, rushing into the bus.

"Shoot her!" the leader yelled from outside.

**BANG!**

A gunshot rang out, but Wanda simply raised her hand, deflecting the bullet with a wave of scarlet energy.

"Fools," she muttered, sending the remaining thugs flying out of the bus with a flick of her fingers.

Outside, the three n who had been loading the van rushed over, only to be t with Wanda's glowing figure at the bus door.

Before they could react, they were lifted off their feet and thrown against a wall, their bodies crumpling to the ground in pain.

"Cough... cough..." the leader staggered to his feet, his face twisted in rage. "You bitch!"

He reached into his jacket and pulled out a small, high-tech grenade—a Stark Industries prototype. It was designed to release a concentrated burst of electricity, powerful enough to incapacitate anyone within its radius.

"Die!" he snarled, pressing the activation button and hurling the grenade toward Wanda.

But before it could reach her, a shadowy figure appeared behind him, grabbing his arm and twisting it violently.

**BOOM!**

The grenade exploded in the leader's hand, sending a surge of electricity through his body. He scread in agony before collapsing to the ground, his body charred and smoking.

Wanda turned, her eyes narrowing as she saw the shadowy figures retreating into the darkness. They were dressed in black, their movents swift and silent.

"Shadow Organization?" she murmured, recognizing their presence.

Finn stepped off the bus, his expression calm as he surveyed the scene. "You okay, Wanda?" he asked, walking over to her.

"They were just amateurs. They couldn't hurt ," Wanda replied, though her eyes lingered on the spot where the shadowy figures had disappeared. "Did you see those n in black? They looked like mbers of the Shadow Organization, but... different."

Finn scratched his head, trying to look innocent. "Yeah, I saw them. Must be a different branch or sothing."

Wanda frowned, considering his words. "Maybe. The Shadow Organization is massive. They probably have different units for different regions."

"Exactly," Finn agreed quickly, relieved that she hadn't connected the dots. "A global organization like that would have specialized teams for different areas."

Wanda nodded, seemingly satisfied with the explanation. "Makes sense."

Just then, the sound of sirens filled the air as police cars arrived at the scene. The bystanders who had witnessed the incident had called the authorities, and the police had been pursuing the hijackers before they had commandeered the bus.

Since Wanda was an Avenger, the police only asked a few questions before letting them go. The two quickly made their way to the train station and boarded a train headed toward Westview.

The train ride was a peaceful experience, a chance for the couple to relax after the chaos. They sat in a private compartnt, enjoying the scenery as the train sped through the countryside.

Wanda eventually dozed off, her head resting on Finn's shoulder. He smiled, gently brushing a strand of hair from her face.

When they finally arrived in Westview, Wanda woke up, stretching lazily. "We're here already?" she asked, her voice still heavy with sleep.

"Yep. Ho sweet ho," Finn said, helping her gather their belongings.

They took a taxi back to their apartnt building. As they walked down the hallway, Wanda turned to Finn. "I'm going to take a shower and then sleep. I'm exhausted."

"Aren't you coming to stay with ? My bed's pretty big," Finn said with a grin, not wanting to spend the night alone.

Wanda pretended to think about it, but the look on Finn's face made her laugh. "Fine, I'll co over after my shower."

"Great," Finn said, feeling relieved.

Once Wanda was inside her apartnt, Finn quickly went to Agatha's room. He looked around the cold, empty space and muttered, "Where did you hide the Darkhold?"

Closing his eyes, he focused his energy, and golden runes began to glow around him. A portal opened on the wall, revealing a hidden chamber.

Finn stepped inside, his eyes imdiately falling on the altar in the center of the room. There, resting on the stone surface, was the Darkhold—a book radiating dark energy, its pages filled with ancient, forbidden knowledge.

The Darkhold, written by the ancient demon Chthon, contained spells of imnse power. Mastering its contents could make one a god-like being across dinsions.

Finn picked up the book, his expression serious. "This is it," he whispered. "The key to everything."

As he left the chamber, the portal closed behind him, leaving no trace of its existence. Finn knew the dangers of the Darkhold, but he also knew that sotis, the greatest risks were necessary to achieve the greatest rewards.

The journey was far from over, and the challenges ahead would be greater than anything they had faced before. But with Wanda by his side and the Darkhold in his hands, Finn was ready to face whatever ca next.
