"What do you see us doing?"

At this ti, the Dark Witch noticed Finn's gaze and smiled charmingly.

Her eyes also fell on Finn, and as their gazes t, even her hand movents paused.

"Ahem, I wasn't looking at you—I was looking at Wanda."

Finn suddenly realized the awkwardness of the mont and imdiately defended himself.

The Dark Witch smiled, "Just watch then, it's fine. I never said you couldn't."

As those words fell, Wanda, who had been eating silently beside them, suddenly looked displeased. She also put down her food.

"Finn, ever since that last incident, I've noticed you tend to look at her more than . Tell honestly!"

Faced with the soul-searching interrogation from both witches, Finn chuckled helplessly. "Don't overthink it. Just eat, alright?"

He didn't want to explain more and shifted his gaze back out the window.

Seeing this, the two witches exchanged glances but didn't press the matter further.

After all, if Finn wanted to share sothing, he wouldn't choose to hide it.

Ti passed little by little.

Once their appetites were satisfied, the table was completely cleared of food. Finn took care of the bill and led the witches out of the restaurant.

"It's two o'clock now, the History Museum opens in two hours. Let's go for a walk."

Finn said to them. Then he gently took both of their hands and strolled forward.

Before long, they arrived at a beach, lively with visitors.

Though the sun was intense, it didn't stop tourists from setting up tents and laying back to enjoy the mont.

"We're going too."

Finn's eyes lit up at the vibrant scene.

The seaside breeze mixed with the ocean's spray brought a refreshing coolness that felt perfect against the lingering heat of the day.

"Lee, if—"

The witch was about to speak when a sudden commotion behind them caught their attention.

Finn turned quickly and spotted the source—a bank across the street. A group of ard criminals were in a standoff with the NYPD.

"Why do we always end up running into trouble when we're out trying to enjoy ourselves?"

Wanda frowned, visibly frustrated. She had been looking forward to this outing with Finn.

"Maybe it's your fault," the Dark Witch teased, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Screw you." Wanda rolled her eyes and turned to Finn. "Should we go check it out?"

"Let's see what's going on."

Finn's voice was low and serious as he led them toward the scene.

Back during the incident on the Brooklyn Bridge, he had thought it was just Wilson Fisk sending his n out as usual. But this? This felt too bold.

Midday. A full-on robbery with no fear of police intervention.

If things were escalating like this, it ant tonight he'd need to plan his next move carefully.

With that in mind, Finn picked up his pace. Since the bank was nearby, the trio quickly made it to a corner close to the action.

"Those guys are disgusting, but the civilians are in real danger. We need to get them out."

Wanda's protective instinct flared up. She didn't like watching people suffer while doing nothing.

"Hold on. Don't rush in. Let's assess the situation first."

Finn spoke calmly but firmly. He didn't want to use magic unless absolutely necessary. In the U.S., especially with the Sokovia Accords still shadowing things, using unauthorized magic ant drawing attention—from SHIELD, Damage Control, maybe even S.W.O.R.D.

The witches nodded. They trusted Finn's judgnt and understood the risk.

BANG BANG BANG!!

The standoff exploded into a firefight.

Finn's face shifted. Ti to act.

With a wave of his hand, dark energy—almost like tendrils of shadow—lashed forward. An invisible force swept across the criminals.

Caught by surprise, the gunn tried to resist, but it was futile. One by one, they were lifted off the ground as if gravity no longer applied to them.

Terrified, they scread and flailed, but nothing worked. Their weapons were stripped from their hands, clattering harmlessly to the pavent.

Even hardened criminals with gang training stood no chance against Finn's precise magical control.

In seconds, the NYPD moved in and secured the disard suspects.

Watching it all, Finn exhaled. But sothing about the scene gnawed at him.

These weren't random thugs. This was too organized.

Could Wilson Fisk—Kingpin—be retaliating?

"Maybe this really is his move," Finn muttered to himself.

From the beginning, his plan had been clear: dismantle Kingpin's outer defenses, absorb his power structure, and take over.

He wanted to control the underground—not for chaos, but to put it in better hands. His hands.

Others might call that arrogance. Finn called it inevitability.

"What are you thinking, Finn?"

The Dark Witch stepped beside him, curious.

"The way these criminals behaved... sothing's off."

He narrowed his eyes, still watching the aftermath.

"Off how?" Wanda asked.

"I'll explain later. Let's go."

Finn shook his head, not wanting to raise alarms just yet.

Seeing that he wasn't going to elaborate, the two witches let the matter drop.

After a short walk back along the beach, they headed to the History Museum. It was now open, and the crowds were flowing in.

They purchased their tickets and entered through the main gates.

The interior was breathtaking.

Everything glead—restored artifacts, marble columns, golden fixtures. Each hall looked more like a gallery in Asgard than anything you'd find on Earth.

Sacred and serene, the environnt evoked a sense of reverence.

Wanda and the Dark Witch quickly beca enraptured, flitting from exhibit to exhibit.

Finn watched with a faint smile, staying close behind them.

"Finn, look!"

Wanda tugged on his sleeve, pointing toward a glass-encased relic.

Finn glanced over, and the sight made his expression shift.

Inside the display was an item he hadn't expected to see outside of a secured vault.

An ancient pendant—cursed, long forgotten, but unmistakable.

He froze.
