"The Possession Mask is not the only object capable of taking control of others. There exists another such object in the world known as the Wendigo Skull."
As the voice from the screen faded, the scene changed, revealing a terrifying skull.
The skull looked like that of a large deer but was far more grotesque and massive, giving a visceral feeling of discomfort just by looking at it.
Luffy: "Eh! Is that Chopper's head?"
Chopper: "What do you an, my head?! Are you kidding?"
Suneo: "Wendigo? Isn't that an old Native Arican legend?"
Tsunade: "What legend?"
Suneo: "They say there's a creature in Native Arican lore that preys on humans, called the Wendigo. There's also a belief that people turn into Wendigos by consuming human flesh. Lots of movies have used the Wendigo concept."
Seiya: "In your world, it's only a myth?"
Diana: "What do you an by that?"
Seiya: "In our world, the Wendigo isn't just a myth. It's a real monster from ancient lore. And our enemies aren't only gods; we also face creatures, demons, and evil spirits from various mythologies."
Bruce Wayne: "Good grief! There are so many myths worldwide. Not just the mainstream ones but countless folk legends too. Are you saying all these entities exist in your universe?"
Dohko: "So don't, but most of the mainstream mythological creatures do."
Rogers: "That's incredible. Fighting mythological creatures to protect humanity... I wish I could stand alongside you."
Dohko: "Haha! From your words, I can tell you're a person of justice. Too bad we're not in the sa universe."
Daigo: "Mythical creatures... Just yesterday, I encountered a beast called 'Suna Oni,' a creature from the Sengoku era."
Dan: "Our universe also has mythical creatures. Most are powerful monsters, later recorded as legends."
Nobita: "Mythical monsters in real life... just the thought is terrifying!"
In the DC Universe, Batcave...
"Diana, I'd like to know, does our world have mythical creatures, like demons from hell or anything?"
This concern weighed heavily on Bruce Wayne, aware of the countless human-targeting monsters in myth.
"Unfortunately, many do exist, but most have disappeared or been sealed away. If you want to monitor them, I can help you track them down."
Diana offered.
"Thank you."
Bruce Wayne gratefully looked over at Alfred.
"Yes, yes, I'll start collecting myths from around the world, and you can visit the corresponding sites. Let's call it a date."
Alfred imdiately understood Bruce's intentions and got to work.
"It's not a date."
Bruce felt exasperated by Alfred's comnt and gave Diana an apologetic look.
Diana simply smiled understandingly and shrugged.
"When the Wendigo Skull was discovered, severe cannibalistic incidents occurred in several locations. At first, the Foundation did not pay much attention, as there are many perverse individuals in the world who attempt to taste human flesh. However, as the incidents spread, the Foundation could no longer ignore them."
"Initially, nurous disappearances in an Arican suburb prompted a police investigation. They eventually found several captives and a large collection of bones in a forest ranger's house. When they arrested the ranger, he was in the act of consuming human flesh."
"This case caused a sensation at the ti, yet it was only the beginning. Soon after, multiple other cases of cannibalism erged. Upon investigation, it was found that the perpetrators were survivors of the first incident, seemingly influenced by the initial offender and mimicking his behavior."
"Experts initially theorized that prolonged proximity to the cannibal might have affected them psychologically, requiring extended therapy."
"Strangely, however, the survivors of the second batch of cannibals began exhibiting similar behaviors, capturing people to consu, with so even doing so openly in the streets."
"This was no longer a psychological issue. Experts exhausted all thods to treat these individuals, but instead of improving, they grew more violent without human flesh."
"The spreading nace finally drew the Foundation's attention. After a thorough investigation, they uncovered the true culprit—the Wendigo Skull."
"The Wendigo Skull was not rely an indestructible object immune to damage; it possessed a powerful ntal influence. It could lure those nearby to wear it, even if the skull did not fit their head, with people obsessively working to make it fit."
"Once the Wendigo Skull is worn, the person imdiately transforms into a cannibalistic demon. The initial cannibal was driven to consu human flesh daily after wearing the Wendigo Skull, losing all hope of returning to a normal state."
"The most terrifying part, however, is that once the skull is worn, it spreads a cannibalistic among nearby people, altering their minds to also crave human flesh. The first survivors beca cannibals because they had been near the initial offender long enough to beco infected by this tic influence."
"The spread continued when more individuals accidentally donned the Wendigo Skull, increasing the contagion's range."
"Additionally, the Foundation discovered that the Wendigo Skull is a living entity. It can communicate in multiple languages, even ancient ones, though it mostly emits beast-like growls. When it does speak, it only conveys its hunger and desire to eat humans, making normal communication impossible."
"When its hunger becos overwhelming, the skull begins to tremble and make larger movents. It once even rolled on the ground to escape or used its antlers to impale a guard's chest, forcing itself onto their head to gain a body."
"Thus, the Wendigo Skull must be guarded with extre caution. Unauthorized personnel are strictly prohibited from approaching it. If close proximity is necessary, at least five fully ard personnel must be present. Should anyone put on the Wendigo Skull, they must be imdiately neutralized!"
