Chapter 378: Iron Fist

At first, Blaine rely wanted to marvel at how similar the system was to himself—one had lost its mory, the other had lost its data. But the system’s final sentence suddenly made him want to complain. If data was lost, then so be it.

Why did upgrading suddenly co into the picture? Was this so kind of trick to lure him into spending money? What was more outrageous was that upgrading to Hunter System 3.0 cost five hundred billion. That price was far too steep; Blaine simply couldn’t bear it.

In fact, Blaine had already asked the system about his own past, the mysterious tal key, the space battleship on the Moon, and the wreckage of the fortress battleship on Bri Star. Each ti, the answer was the sa: there was no such data in the system.

At one point, Blaine had even joked that there were things in the Marvel universe the Hunter System didn’t know. But now it seed that the Hunter System, much like himself, had gone through sothing significant.

Because of this, whenever mory-related issues ca up later on, Blaine chose to investigate them on his own and stopped asking the system. What he had said earlier was only a casual remark, yet he hadn’t expected the system to respond with so much information.

However, after hearing the system’s high evaluation of Iron Fist, Blaine couldn’t help but wonder whether that immortal dragon was closely related to the Dragon Bones of the Hand.

Back when Blaine had blown up the Hand’s base in the Sahara Desert due to a misunderstanding, only Mada Gao and the other three Fingers had escaped. If he ever had the chance, Blaine felt he needed to find out what exactly the Dragon Bones were.

Overall, the Prehistoric Avengers sounded incredibly powerful. After all, their ranks included ancient figures such as the All-Father Odin, the Sorcerer Supre Agamotto, and the first Black Panther. If these people joined forces, it was likely that even an entire series of threats wouldn’t pose much of a problem.

Likewise, with such an overwhelming lineup, the enemies they faced must have been unimaginably terrifying.

Even a single mber of the Prehistoric Avengers, taken alone, would likely be a dominant existence in the universe. From this, it was clear just how frightening their opponents must have been—whether a dark force, a powerful organization, or a cosmic-level boss—to require so many ultra, ultra, ultra, ultra, ultra-super-powered beings to unite against them...

What was more, according to the Prehistoric Black Panther, so of those battles even involved Bounty Hunter, and required their leadership.

Blaine couldn’t understand what he himself could have done to lead the Prehistoric Avengers against such enemies. With his current strength, he was clearly far from qualified.

What was even more terrifying was the fact that such a powerful lineup had still been defeated so thoroughly that the renowned Prehistoric Black Panther had fallen here. And with the participation of Bounty Hunters, they had still suffered such a disastrous loss—so severe that even Blaine’s mories had been erased.

In a daze, Blaine seed to recall fragnts of images rising in his mind, playing like scenes from a movie.

It was a dark day. The entire world seed to be shrouded in a lethargic gloom.

In the distance, the afterglow of the sun—colored like congealed blood—covered half the sky. There was no sound of wind, no sense of warmth at all.
