On the other side, seeing Tony and Barton leave, Thor imdiately swung Mjolnir in his hand and hurled it with force. Using the montum, his whole body shot into the sky.
"That's pretty darn cool!"
Young Spider-Man looked up at Thor, now just a black dot in the sky, and couldn't help but cheer.
"Go wild, kid," Steve said, patting Spider-Man on the shoulder before charging into the fray with his shield.
After throwing Barton toward the side of a building, Thor narrowed his eyes and stood atop the tallest nearby skyscraper.
"Drink!" he shouted, raising Mjolnir high.
In an instant, the clear skies turned stormy, thick with swirling clouds, lightning, and thunder.
BOOM!
A bolt of lightning struck Mjolnir. Thor, acting as its conduit, guided the imnse, devastating energy toward the space wormhole ahead.
As soon as one of the Leviathans—those massive Chitauri flying war-beasts—touched the storm's wrath, it convulsed violently, bolts crawling across its armor before the beast went black and began to fall.
Barton grinned and wasn't to be outdone. He drew arrow after arrow from his quiver, each shot hitting its mark with pinpoint precision.
Together, Thor, Tony, and Barton held the aerial battle at bay—for now.
Captain Steve Rogers breathed a brief sigh of relief. But the situation remained dire.
Thor was unleashing a major attack. That kind of god-mode wouldn't last more than a few seconds.
And really, even now...
There were just too many of them.
The lightning only hit so much. Even if just a fraction of the invaders slipped through, the numbers were still overwhelming.
"Aight, ti for you alien scumbags to get stomped!"
Spider-Man flipped into the air. The poor Chitauri soldiers never stood a chance. He wasn't as brutish or overwhelming as the Hulk—who could smash through buildings with a single punch—but Spidey's strikes were still devastating. One clean hit was enough to take them down.
Across the battlefield, heroes were executing their own cleanup operations.
Atop a tall building stood Blaine, a powerful AU character introduced in this universe. He raised his customized weapon—the Elental Bow—now upgraded to
15.
[Elental Bow ( 15)]: Arrows can be conjured from thin air. Generates 800 standard arrows, 200 elental arrows, and 10 advanced elental arrows daily. Refreshes every 24 hours.
With the upgrade, Blaine could now wield 200 elental arrows and 10 advanced elental arrows per cycle. Each shot's destructive power had dramatically increased. While not entirely overpowered, it was still a significant leap in lethality.
If his total power output was asured at 200 units, the earlier
10 arrows were maybe around 120. Not a dramatic gain, but for a re 15 million investnt, it was acceptable.
Still, Blaine's strength now wasn't sothing that could be replicated with a few hundred million dollars. Without at least a billion in resources, surpassing him would be nearly impossible.
He drew the Elental Bow and aid it toward the space wormhole.
Whoosh—
Whoosh.
Whoosh.
Four sharp, slicing sounds tore through the air like firecrackers. In an instant, four advanced elental arrows shot toward the four corners of the circular wormhole, forming a square pattern.
Then—suddenly.
As if hitting an invisible barrier, the arrows vanished just as they reached their positions.
It was like they were erased.
But then—
Crackling!
Bzzzz—!!
From those four vanished points, streaks of lightning erupted into the sky, spreading outward like wildfire eting dry grass. Within monts, the current had expanded hundreds of ters, forming a blazing periter in the sky.
A titanic force rippled out, forming a square-shaped "Field of Thunder" that tightly sealed the wormhole's entrance.
ROARR!!
The endless Chitauri horde, which had been flooding through the portal, was instantly stopped.
Whether Leviathan or soldier, anything that even grazed this storm was annihilated. Blue-white lightning coiled like serpents across their bodies, and with a CRACKLE, their armor and flesh blackened.
In the sa instant, the surge of lightning fried every internal system—biological and chanical alike. Even if they only appeared scorched on the outside, their organs and tech had been utterly obliterated.
Blue arcs danced ominously in the sky. The whole field shimred with light so intense, it cast shadows even in daylight—partially obscuring the sun.
The hundred-ter-wide Field of Thunder was now a true no-go zone. Anything inside was vaporized.
Since this wormhole was the only route into Earth, the Chitauri now had no passage. The invaders—like chanical insects—crashed from the sky one by one.
It was... kind of like swinging an electric bug zapper inside a cage full of mosquitoes. Crackle! Flash! And down rained the crispy bodies.
The battle wasn't minor.
Down below, the Avengers—fighting from rooftops and streets—glanced up at the blinding light overhead.
"I don't want to touch that lightning," soone muttered. "Not even a little."
Sure, Tony's repulsor blasts and aerial moves were cool.
But they couldn't match this sheer level of destruction and control. Not even Thor's own lightning felt this overwhelming.
"He actually harnessed and shaped lightning..."
Thor stared up at Blaine, still standing motionless atop the building, a mix of awe and unease in his eyes.
He already knew Blaine was powerful—but not like this. Not to this extent.
He feared him.
Respected him.
And yet, that fear didn't last.
Because right now, they were allies.
The stronger Blaine was, the greater their chances of surviving this war.
Fear could wait.
If one day they beca enemies...
Well, that was a matter for later.
For now, the mission was clear:
Drive the Chitauri off Earth.
