Marcus "Nox" Thorne and Lexicon "Vex" (his Klyntar-bonded champions) remained his apex cosmic assets, but this cohort of eighteen True Legionnaires, led by the indomitable Thomas MacIntyre (whose Barbarian core, Elias noted, was subtly evolving, his resilience and tactical acun increasing simply through constant proximity to and command of such potent superhuman energies – the System designated it [Host Proximity Evolution (MacIntyre): Minor Tier 1 Augntation]), was a force capable of engaging almost any planetary-level threat.
While his Legion was being forged, Elias addressed the intricate web of global and now galactic threats:
The Kree Retaliation – A Looming Storm: Intelligence from Warlord Kryll's Skrull faction (their "probationary alliance" solidifying into a wary, mutually exploitative partnership after the successful Earth defense) and Namor's deep-space hydro-acoustic network indicated that the Kree Empire was indeed assembling a massive "Cleansing Fleet." Not just a punitive force, but an armada designed for planetary sterilization. Its ETA was still uncertain, likely 12-18 Terran months, giving Elias a desperate window to further fortify Earth and perhaps even attempt preemptive strikes against Kree supply lines or staging areas using the Nightfall II and his Legionnaires. The Kree, Kryll warned, were also rumored to be deploying their ultimate biological weapons: the "Supre Intelligence's Hand" – genetically engineered Kree super-soldiers, not Accusers, but beings embodying the pinnacle of Kree martial prowess and fanatical devotion.

In return, Elias would continue to target specific Kree assets, share any recovered Kree technology deed "non-critical" by him, and, most controversially, allow a single, heavily monitored Skrull "observation post" to be established in a remote, uninhabited region of Earth (likely the Siberian wilderness, near the Kree frigate crash site they already knew about), ostensibly for "joint threat assessnt."
Elias knew this was a dangerous concession. Allowing Skrulls, master infiltrators, a foothold on Earth, however limited, was playing with fire. But their FTL tech and Kree intel were invaluable. He agreed, on the condition that any Skrull presence was subject to his absolute oversight and imdiate termination if any treaty violations occurred. Wraith (Bucky Barnes) and his Spectre Cell would be tasked with permanent, invisible surveillance of this Skrull outpost. The System logged it: [SKRULL TREATY OF UNSEEN STARS – RATIFIED. Captain Arica's Crusade & S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Shadows: Steve Rogers, now operating fully independently with his "Task Force Vigilant" (which S.H.I.E.L.D. and Peggy Carter officially disavowed but unofficially tolerated and occasionally supported when their goals aligned against truly dangerous Hydra threats), had beco a global symbol of incorruptible heroism, but also a thorn in the side of many established powers. Anya Petrova continued to be Elias's primary conduit to Carter, ensuring S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hunt for Rogers didn't escalate into open conflict and subtly guiding their resources. The existence of Captain Arica, Elias realized, was actually a valuable smokescreen, drawing global attention to overt superhuman heroism while his own, far more potent and morally ambiguous forces operated unseen.
Logan, Miller, and the Lingering Hydra Venom: Logan, his Berserker Ascendant powers now fully mastered, and Miller "Argent," his Trauma Variant Legionnaire form an unkillable force of nature, had largely eradicated Baron Strucker's primary Hydra networks. Strucker himself remained elusive, a cybernetic ghost, but his ability to command a cohesive global organization was shattered. However, Dr. Finch's analysis of captured Hydra occult texts and Schmidt's Mnemonic Ghost whispers revealed a chilling truth: Hydra's roots were far deeper, far more ancient, than even the Nazis. They were tied to terrestrial "Nexuses of Worlds," to pre-human entities, and to a prophecy of a "Great Serpent" whose return would usher in an age of absolute, chaotic power. Strucker, Schmidt, even Hitler – they were all just acolytes, heralds of this older, more primordial evil. The "Sign of the Serpent" faction in Greenland had been a clue. This ant Hydra could never be truly destroyed, only suppressed, its ancient tendrils always seeking to re-erge. Logan and Miller's hunt would likely never end. However, Professor Piotr and the core "Red Son" enhancent program remained active, focusing now on psionic operatives and more stable, if less overtly powerful, bio-augntations. The Red Room assassin program, Anya's sources whispered, had gone completely dark after the Winter Soldier's "defection" (as Moscow undoubtedly saw it). There were rumors of a "Pale Little Spider," a new, almost mythical Red Room graduate, even more dangerous, even more untraceable than Barnes had been, but no concrete evidence had yet surfaced. The Soviet Union remained a patient, ruthless adversary, playing a long ga of infiltration and subversion, their ultimate superhuman ambitions still largely veiled. Elias knew a direct confrontation with their pri assets was inevitable, perhaps even necessary, to secure his own global hegemony.
Elias Thorne, on the cusp of 1975, his body tiless, his power reaching celestial heights, his True Legionnaire Praetorian Guard numbering twenty (he had used his re-accumulated Shards, after carefully managing new acquisitions, to create two full five-man "Cohorts" in addition to his initial eight, bringing the total to eighteen plus Marcus and David), surveyed his dominion. He had terrestrial armies of superhumans, ancient mutants and Atlantean kings as allies, alien technology being reverse-engineered, a Klyntar symbiote awaiting its ultimate purpose, and the secrets of gods and devils at his fingertips. The Kree Purifier Fleet was his most imdiate existential threat, but even that, he now believed, could be t, could be broken. He was no longer just playing for survival or control; he was playing for transcendence, for the establishnt of a Thorne Ascendancy that would span not just Earth, but perhaps, eventually, the stars. The price had been steep, paid in lives, morality, and pieces of his own humanity. But the throne of shadows, built upon a foundation of System power, was now almost complete. And the universe, whether it knew it yet or not, was about to bow.
