“So in other words, the point of this eting is because y’all want to revolt against Zekram? The sa guy who introduced us all to one another?” I asked for clarification.

Although Ajuka nodded his head in reply, I can see the hidden tensed expression behind his calm face.

The other two, Sirzechs and Falbium both looked at , directly to my eyes, as if they were telling that if I were to refute them, I would find myself in a bitter condition.

As for Serafall, she remained oblivious to the choking athmosphere and continued to mush up her face on my chest like I’m so sort of a bucket of cologne.

“I thought I was the only one.” My answer was earned by a bunch of sighs in relief.

“Good, looks like everyone here is on board.” Ajuka nodded his head as everyone stopped what they were doing and gathered around the small round table.

“As we all know, Zekram has his way with words, almost fooling all of us. Thankfully, during our last eting, I discovered a hole in his words. How and why did he actively searched for the said Apocalypse Beast? Not anyone would be insanse enough to risk their life by traversing the Dinsional Gap, a place where was not only ruled by the two Strongest Beings, but also can rip a normal devil to shreds if one were to enter without any extre safety asures.” Ajuka explained his source of suspicion, stating how it has taken root during their last eting.

He’s kinda right, Zekram indeed has no need to risk his life entering the Dinsional Gap and coincidentally discovered the Apocalypse Beast, which itself is already suspicious.

How can Zekram find the Apocalypse Beast without any help, tips or hint? It’s as if he wants to hide sothing, or more specifically, soone.

“I think this Apocalypse Beast is either a lie or real and Zekram wanted to use it more than just against Big G.” Ajuka stated his conclusion which was continued by Sirzechs.

“You an, Zekram wanted to use the Beast against the other pantheons?”

“Not just other pantheons. But also us.” Ajuka’s words made the rest look at him in shock.

“Are you serious?” Serafall muttered a question, her eyes wide.

“I’m afraid I am.” Ajuka replied by shaking his head.

“Zekram…Is it really greed? Or sothing else? He always talks about wanting devils to ascend and evolve.” Sirzechs chid in, as if he couldn’t believe the shocking revelation.

“Sirzechs, any man will always fall into power. Even us, so don’t give him the benefit of the doubt.” Ajuka advised with a strict tone, catching Sirzechs by surprise.

I guess he wasn’t used to this version of Ajuka, even actually.

“But what’s the point of discussing it? It’s not like we’re going against him or sothing, right?” By the ti she finished her words, we were staring directly at her eyes.

“R-Right?” Serafall awkwardly smiled as she started to doubt.

“…Serafall, if Zekram caught a word of what we’re doing, we’re going to face sothing worse than being caught as a mber of the Anti-Satan faction. Zekram might act kind and all but if you look at his past, you’ll think otherwise.” Ajuka answered as if stating the obvious.

Zekram’s past? Now I’m curious.

“So, what’s our end goal here?” I leaned on the wall and asked, acting both cool and mysterious. Can’t help it, it runs in the blood.

“We don’t have end goals. We’ll simply watch over Zekram and make sure he won’t go overboard. He only wants what’s good for us devils but he also wants what’s good for him. We’ll be here to diate between his ambitions for the devils and himself.” Ajuka clarified, earning nods from others, including .

“I agree.” Sirzechs raised a hand and said, followed by Falbium and Serafall, with being the last to raise a hand.

“Zekram likes to set up a eting with one of us personally in random interval. Whatever he talks to you about during those etings, make sure to stay alert and not fall for his silver tongue, and once you’re done, make sure to report to each of us.” Ajuka then proceeded to lay a few set of instructions to fully maximize their guard against Zekram.

Once the eting was done, Serafall quickly approached .

“ChamCham, I missed you! I want to travel the human world with you!” Serafall clung onto like a koala as she says her want.

Just as I was about to find a way to refuse her, Ajuka, for the first ti since we t, ca to save .

“I’m sorry, Serafall, but that travel might be delayed. I’ll borrow Chamber for a while.” Before Serafall could refuse her in my stead, I quickly snatched it first.

“Sure, I’m free today. Let’s go.” Casting an apologetic look towards Serafall who was pouting, and Ajuka then proceeded to leave the room and advanced to his study.

“What’s the rush?” I asked as we entered the study room.

“It’s about this.” Ajuka grabbed sothing from his table before showing it to .

It's a pawn evil piece.

“What am I looking at?” I asked for an explanation which he gave.

“I also read the file about Zekram’s plan towards the Evil Pieces, he doesn’t just want humans to be turned into devils, but other races too such as Vampires, Werewolves and many more.” Ajuka then dropped a folder on the table that he grabbed from a drawer.

“So I made a plan. Obviously, I can’t leave a loophole of reincarnated devils being spies and using the strength of our own to deal against ourselves.”

“During my free ti, I added two effects on the future upcoming Evil Pieces.” Ajuka proceeded to turn the file to the first page.

“First is an effect where reincarnated devils would slowly feel loyalty towards our kind over ti. To make it not suspicious, it will start slow but once it has taken root on their heart, it will imdiately spread.” He then turned to the next page.

“Lastly, a side-effect of betrayal. Each evil piece is connected to its dedicated King Piece. Since the effect of loyalty will start slow, betrayal is still possible, hence I decided to make it so betraying the master shall be t with a punishnt. This, however isn’t that effective, if the reincarnated devil is stronger than their master, the side-effect would be nulled.”

“So what’s the punishnt?” I asked.

“I have no idea yet. Their Demonic Energy inside their body will beco chaotic and cause them to beco disfigured and weaken them greatly. If their master is strong enough, they can even be killed by the punishnt. All in all, the punishnt is decided by how strong their master is.” Ajuka concluded, raising his chest in pride.

, on the other hand, just cast a confused look towards him.

“Why are you telling this?”

“Well, first of all. You’re the first reincarnated human and I want your thoughts about this. Second, I’m gonna need your permission to do this and lastly, I want to assure you that you’re exempted from these effects as what Serafall used on you was a prototype, containing neither of the side effects I ntioned.” He uttered.

My thoughts, huh?

To be honest, even if I were to tell him that I don’t like it, Ajuka wouldn’t make an exception and still proceed with it.

So what’s the point of opposing him?

However, that doesn’t an I’ll let him do what he wants without anything in return.

“Sounds good to . And it’s pretty normal to have such suspicions. However, that doesn't an I’ll let you use it to your own advantage instead.” Crossing my arms, I can see the relief on Ajuka’s face being dashed upon hearing the end of my sentence.

“And that is?” Ajuka asked with a sigh of defeat.

“I don’t like you taking advantage of humans by luring them with nothing but benefits. I only want two things when a devil wants to reincarnate a human into a devil.” I raised a single finger up.

“First, each and every devil will have to go through before they could reincarnate a human of their choice. Their chosen human will have to be screened by , and what I ant by that is I would see if their mind is tempered or being blackmailed.” Hearing my words, Ajuka didn’t hesitate before nodding his head consecutively.

Then I raised another finger.

“Lastly, when reincarnation a human. I want them to be aware of what they’re dealing with, such as knowing that their loyalty will be manipulated against their will and the side-effects of betraying their master.” At this point, I can see the hesitation taking effect on Ajuka’s face.

“But…won’t that make it hard for devils to convince humans then?” Ajuka’s face grimaced at it.

“Not my fault. Devils are supposed to have their way with words, make good use of it.” In return, I simply shrugged my shoulders and left him to deal with it.

As long as those two conditions of mine can be t, I’ll have no problem with this.

Ajuka fell into contemplation for a few monts before sighing and relenting.

“Fine. But only humans, right? Not the others?” Ajuka asked for confirmation.

“Yes, only humans.” My answer earned a sigh in relief.

“Okay. That doesn’t bad. Though that would make humans less picked by devils when choosing their peerage mber.” Ajuka muttered the last one which was heard by .

“Peerage mber?” I asked.

“Haha~ that’s the second reason what I wanted to talk about.”

“Hear out.”
