That’s what my friend used to say when facing a challenge.
Now, this quote is being applied at my current situation.
I squinted my eyes at the book I’m reading. It is an introduction to Devil Energy that devils possess, along with its various uses and fundantals.
You see, according to this book. A Mid-class devil like can recover their entire energy from depletion for half a day, which ans it takes approximately 5 hours for a Mid-class devil to fully recover in terms of Devil energy.
Now, I’ve been mulling over this topic for the past few hours as I ca to a realization that I’m not actually a normal Mid-class devil.
Aside from being a human turned to a devil and my weird two pair of wings, I can recover my devil energy reserves for only 2 hours! That’s 3 less hours compared to an average Mid-class devil!
It might not sound much but when it cos to battle, every second matters.
Another thing is, according to this book, devil energy can be recovered either through resting or Phoenix Tears.
Phoenix Tears are the most sought after product through the Underworld as they are said to be a special potion of liquid that can instantly heal injuries, whereas a single drop can instantly regenerate the user's injuries and restore their health, although it can’t directly restore limbs or such but it can still be used to reattach limbs.
One of its useful effects is that Phoenix Tears were also said to be capable of restoring soone’s devil energy reserves.
Aside from those aforentioned thods, the other thods are through artifacts and such which isn’t applicable to devils as devils aren’t experts in the fields of artifacts.
Though from what I heard, Norse and Greek factions are the only ones known for their creation various legendary artifacts.
Now, you may be wondering why I’m stating all of these things right? You see, I don’t need any of those as I can recover my devil energy reserves without needing rest.
So while others needed to either replace their batteries or use low-end chargers, mine uses the highest watts in charger.
What does all these an? It ans, I’m stronger than your average devil and as long as I grow strong enough, I could take on soone of my own level and easily win without breaking a sweat.
I tried searching for information about the Four Satans, so I could see if their situation are also different from average like but aside from history books that is filled with thousands of praises to the Satans and insults to the Angels and the Kingdom of God, I surrendered.
Still, with the next few weeks of my stay in the Sitri manor, I scoured around the entire library and it wasn't enough to ready at least half of the entire library’s collected.
The Sitri family’s library is simply filled to the brim with countless valuable books.
I wonder why they’re just letting all of these gathered dust around here?
Among the things I read about the Devils and the Underworld, is that the Underworld doesn't solely belong to the Devils as there are also other inhabitants such as the Fallen Angels and surprisingly, the Greek God of Death, Hades.
I also learned that Sitri is part of the 72 Devil Pillars of the Devils. With each pillars having their own unique Demonic Powers. I should probably search more about this, it will definitely co in handy when facing against one of the devil pillars.
Know thy enemy, know thy weaknesses.
Another thing I learned is about the source of the Devils and how they ca to be.
It was stated that Lucifer and other devils didn’t like
God’s ruling as they see God favouring the ‘pathetic’ humans more than them, his most holy creations.
Hence, Lucifer attempted to overthrow God and make him appreciate them instead of the pesky humans.
Things escalated and Lucifer along with the other Angels, fell from grace after fighting with Michael and the other Angels before turning into new beings called Devils.
This one however, is sothing I already know so I didn’t dwell much on it.
There are many other things I learned but unfortunately, soone was already calling my na.
“ChamCham? Are you here?” Upon spotting sitting on a chair, she pouted.
“You’re at the library again?” Why is she yelling as if I’ve been staying at the library for an entire week?
“You’ve been reading at the library for almost a week now?”
Oh.
I should probably go outside and touch so grass.
Well, I didn’t exactly stayed at the library for an entire week, its just an exaggeration.
After all, I still have to visit Grandpa Rad and the siblings. I’m not heartless to abandon them.
“Co on, I have sothing to show you.” Serafall winked and said, prompting to follow her.
Well, what would you do if a pretty woman tells you to follow her?
You follow her of course!
“Okay.” Giving ‘my’ books a one last look, I finally exited the library, taking in a brand new fresh air aside from the cramped air inside the library.
Though that doesn’t an I don’t like the sll. Have you ever slls the fresh ink of a book? That’s what the library slls like, tripled in intensity.
So might not get it since technically, since they don’t go to libraries.

“So, what am I looking at?” I frowned, staring confusedly at Serafall who was simply standing still with her arms spread away, as if she was expecting a hug from .
There’s no way she brought out here on the garden just for a hug, right?
“Seriously? Take a closer look at , co on.” She rolled her eyes and said.
Squinting my eyes at her figure, now I finally noticed sothing.
I see, so this is what she ant, huh?
“It seems to be growing bigger.” I answered, still not removing my eyes from the ‘answer’.
“Huh? What do you an, growing bigger?” Though confused at first but as soon as she traced where my eyes are focusing, she imdiately blushed and covered her chest in embarrassnt.
“T-That wasn’t what I was talking anout, you pervert!” Removing her shoe, she grabbed it and threw it towards , forcing to catch them.
“….Did you just placed my shoes in your pocket?” Serafall monotonously stared at as she pointed at the bulge on my pocket.
Well, I an, finders keepers, and besides, she threw it at , so that ans its now mine, right?
“Give it back.” I gave it back.
“Look closely again~” Going back to her usual cheerful self, she clapped her hands and said, as if what happened earlier didn’t exist.
Sighing, I stared closely at her, this ti, using my senses to assess even her devil energy.
Wait what?
As soon as my senses went over her devil energy reserves, I noticed two things.
First, her reserves are ten tis larger than before! Lastly, it seems to be much more potent and thicker than mine!
How is this possible?
“H-How did you increase your devil energy reserves so much?” I couldn’t help but gawk at her and ask, eager to know the secret to her power-up.
“Oh Hoh hoh~, it seems you have finally noticed it, huh?” Grinning like a fool, Serafall raised her chest up and bore a smug grin, as if she was looking down on my ‘pathetic’ being.
“Behold! You are now looking at one of the rarest and one out of a million, Ultimate-Class devil! Second only to the Satans in terms of strength!” Her words caught my attention.
Ultimate-class? Seriously? Is this how strong they are in terms of just devil energy alone? I feel like one spell from Serafall now is enough to obliterate from existence!
“….Can you…” I muttered in silence, as if hesitating whether to tell it to her or not.
“Hmm?” She grinned, pressing her ear close to , as if she knows what I’m about to say but just wanted to hear it from .
Goddamit!
Okay, calm down, Chamber, this is for your future, there’s nothing wrong with asking her for help. I’ve been figuring out how to effectively increase my reserves and so far, only by depleting it and letting it naturally recover is the only way I’ve found so far.
I gritted my teeth and continued but this ti, my voice much louder.
“Can you…teach how did you do it?”
“Let think first, hmm….” She posed a thinking posture for a few seconds, as if she was making the hardest decision in her entire life.
‘This little!…’ Resisting the urge to ‘punish’ her for making him act like this, I cald myself down, letting my anger cloud myself would only lead to the worst paths.
However the more ti pass by, the more my frustrations grew.
Thankfully, it didn't last long as Serafall finally ca to a decision.
“Sure! But first, while I’m teaching you, you must call Teacher Sera!” Placing her hands on her hips, Serafall couldn’t help but widen her grin as she saw my gritting teeth.
“…Teacher Sera.” Sighing in defeat, I finally gave up my pride and left my entire being in her hands.
“Good! Good! Then this Teacher Sera shall teach you to her full capabilities!” Nodding her head in satisfaction, she continued.
“Its actually easy to achieve this and I just discovered it a few days ago during one of my missions.”
I raised my head and focused on her eyes, as if trying to take the answer directly from her soul.
“You see, you just have to experience a life-and-death situation during battle, when that happened to , I felt a sudden surge of my reserves, allowing to finally defeat that pesky Angel.”
Life…and death situation?
That’s it? For all the answers I’ve been searching on the library, I just had to fight soone to the death?
“Surprised? Hehe~” Once again, she’s flashing that smug grin again.
For so reason I don’t feel any frustration seeing them unlike before. Is it just or does she look pretty when smiling?
