After Nostradamus joins, the atmosphere around Chamber’s students has changed for the better good.
First of all, Faust is no longer being called a freshman and instead, that title was passed down to Nostradamus, who for so reason, liked the title given to him.
Second, Chamber held a sparring match between his students to determine which of them was qualified to be promoted from being a student Sorcerer to a full-fledged Sorcerer.
Let’s just say, the winner was quite a bit unexpected.
Chamber thought only Tam or Faust had the chance of winning and taking first place.
However, lo and behold, it was Belle who won instead. Using her wits and a deadly hidden trump card that she used against her own brother and Faust.
As for what the hidden trump card was?
She created a new spell, an offensive type of spell.
Using the whip as a reference, she managed to make a chainsaw-like whip. Whereas the edges of the whip have a very sharp blade that spins around the whip, similar to a chainsaw.
Chamber swore he doesn’t rember teaching Belle about chainsaws or sothing.
Then, Belle also uses the sa technique he does in portals. Conjuring portals to absorb attacks and redirect them to other places.
In her case, she used the portals to absorb the explosive projectiles that Faust was throwing and redirect them to either little Tam or Augustus.
Once those two are taken down with the help of Faust, she then uses the chainsaw spell on Faust, quickly taking the boy down despite trying to imitate Belle by conjuring his own portal.
Out of all of them, Belle seed to have truly studied and mastered the art of portal, to the point that even Chamber himself was impressed by it.
‘She would be a scary opponent to fight in the future. Not only she can already manipulate the sizes of her portals, but her speed of casting it is almost on par with mine.’ Chamber assessed her in his mind.
Without further ado, Chamber publicly announced to the Sorcerer Society about Belle’s ascension to Sorcerer.
Although technically, there’s no difference between a student Sorcerer and a full-fledged Sorcerer yet.
That’s right. Yet.
Chamber has many plans for the system in Sorcerer Society and the most important of them all is the rit system.
The rit System is where each Sorcerer can take on tasks to complete and they’ll be rewarded with rit points.
The tasks can vary from simple investigations to taking down anomalies or rogue supernatural beings that seek to harm humans.
Of course, the sorcerers would still embody the secrecy needed in order to maintain a peaceful environnt for humans.
So tasks can be submitted by fellow Sorcerers or those affiliated with the Sorcerer Society, while others can also be submitted through rumors and such.
For example, a rumor is spreading across many towns about a certain scary figure or creature that is beyond human logic. Once those rumors reached the ears of the Sorcerer Society, a task related to investigating it would be initiated.
Now, let’s proceed to the rit points.
rit points can be earned through the completion of the tasks and the quantity depends on the difficulty of the task.
If it’s just investigating and gathering information, then it wouldn’t be that much but if it's taking down, let’s say, a rogue vampire, the points would be higher.
The rit Points can then be used for only one thing.
Promotion in rankings.
That’s right. Only promotion in rankings. At first, Chamber was thinking of using it as so sort of currency to buy certain spell books in the library however, he rembered that isn’t how Sorcerer Society is supposed to work.
The library and its books are free for everyone to read except for the forbidden library.
So, Chamber ca up with the solution of sorcerer rankings.
First of all, there are five ranks of sorcerers.
The first rank is the Student Sorcerer, this falls to Augustus, Tam, Faust, and newcors. It doesn’t matter how adept they are at their own magic system or how old they are. Everyone who joins will start in this rank and have to work their way up through the rit points.
Next is Sorcerer, the current rank of almost everyone in the Sorcerer Society including Belle who just ascended to this rank.
The third rank is Adept Sorcerer.
The fourth is Master Sorcerer, the highest one can attain. Not only they can take their own students to train but they also have limited access to so parts of the forbidden library.
Since the rit Points would almost be useless in this rank, this would be the only rank where the Sorcerers could use their rit Points to get access to the books in the forbidden library.
This way, Master Sorcerers can still use their rit Points.
Last but not the least, is obviously, The Sorcerer Supre. There can only be one Sorcerer Supre and whoever holds this title holds the entire Sorcerer Society.
The only way to ascend to this rank is for the current Sorcerer Supre to pass this position to soone. No amount of rit points can be used to ascend here, hence why the Master Sorcerers can use their rit points in the forbidden library.
Chamber will announce all of these next week due to the ongoing recruitnt process.
It’s been an entire month since the first test to the newcors has been initiated without telling them and so far, the number is nearing half of what it’s supposed to be.
So dark sorcerers were the first ones to leave, not knowing Chamber sent Balthazar and so Adept Sorcerers to eliminate them from the face of the earth.
The next ones to leave were those who simply wanted to ride the tide. Joining the Sorcerer Society just because everyone will do so.
Then there’s also the Sorcerers with hidden intentions. Either belonged to other small sorcerer organizations and simply wanted to spy on the Sorcerer Society or wanted to destabilize the Sorcerer Society from within so they could prevent its rise.
Nonetheless, those people had already given up and Chamber had already placed a hidden mark on them so he could take care of them at a later date.
After all, if he left those organizations alone, no doubt they would be a thorn in his side in the future. Not to ntion, so of those organizations don’t fully align with humanity and sotis deal with devils and other dark creatures.
It’s only right for him to eliminate them off the board to ensure humanity’s safety.
The remaining ones who stayed were at most, around 6,000 from the initial 10,000 sorcerers who wanted to join.
That’s already a huge amount of mbers who wanted to join and considering how they stayed for an entire month without any complaints, suffice to say, they already passed.
So, I sent the ssage to Balthazar that they passed the first test and it’s ti for the second test which I just finished last week.
The second test consists of going through a simulation using a very strong illusion spell.
Inside this simulation, they would be in a situation where they would fight a very strong being whose strength is adjusted to be slightly stronger than theirs.
Then in a particular mont, the opponent will take a human as a hostage and use it against the sorcerer.
In which they would be left with three choices. Surpass their limits and defeat their opponent. Or ignore the opponent and focus on rescuing the human hostage.
And then finally, their last choice is to run with tails tucked between their tails. No defeating the opponent, no rescuing the human hostage. They would simply run away for safety.
Their first choice, which is to defeat their opponent has two outcos. If they successfully killed their opponent, they passed. If they die trying, they’ll still pass but have to go through another test.
Their second choice, which is to rescue the human. They pass automatically, whether they’re successful or not.
Last but not the least, the last one is an automatic fail and not just any kind of fail, they would be banned from retaking the test or anything to join the Sorcerer Society forever.
Chamber wanted to instill the importance of saving human lives more than anything else as that is the true purpose of the Sorcerer Society, to protect humanity from danger and make sure peace is maintained.
“They’re ready, master.” Entering the room after a knock, Balthazar inford him.
“Good. Let them in.” Chamber smiled and said with a nod of his head.

I’ve been waiting and enduring for an entire month! At first, I thought they’re just busy with the process since there are so many of us but after a week with no other information, we grew restless.
So among us tried to to enter the tower, similar to what that kid a few weeks ago did however, nothing worked. Not even our greatest unlocking magic can pierce through the magical defenses of that simple looking wooden door.
Eventually, after another week has passed, people started to leave. I was also tempted to but I realized that my goals are far better than them.
I’m here because I wanted to protect humans. So they would not bear the sa pain I felt a few years ago when I lost my wife to a vampire.
So I ignored them and endured.
Another week passed and I stayed in the sa wooden house they built for us. My housemates are reduced from a hundred to re twenty.
All of us are now affiliated and friends. We shared stories with each others and our reasons for joining.
Like , they’re also here to protect our kind from the evil creatures roaming the supernatural world.
Another week passed and finally, just when more and more left, the impenetrable wooden doors finally creaked open and Master Balthazar ca out once more.
“Almost half of you left. They failed the test and you all passed. Congratulations.” No one but knows how happy I felt when I heard those words.
I passed. I passed a test without knowing it was a test!
“Everyone. Please welco yourselves.”
Finally!
With a cry in my head, I heavily inhaled and exhaled before following others inside.
I guess this would be my new beginning.
