The rcenary leader flashed a sly grin.
This defiant, composed attitude, despite being a prisoner, made Kagura's heart stir with an uneasy feeling.

A new red alert blinked in her HUD, followed by the sound of rapid footsteps.
It was the Winter Soldier.
From the dissipating smoke behind them, a sleek figure erged.

The red warning continued to flash as the system quickly parsed the data.
The target wasn't Kagura, but—
"Watch out, move!" Kagura shouted.
In an instant, she pushed Natasha aside.
If Natasha had taken that hit, it could have been years before anyone retrieved the Soul Stone.
Though Kagura wasn't aiming to steer this world toward that future, saving Black Widow's life was non-negotiable.
As Natasha was pushed out of the line of fire, Kagura braced herself.
The tallic arm of the Winter Soldier ca crashing toward her, the iconic red star on his shoulder marking him unmistakably.
"Great... bad luck..." Kagura muttered, though a part of her realized this was inevitable.
She raised her left hand, activating her tactical glove.
A small orange ring glowed on the back of her hand.
A flexible tal layer expanded, forming a golden tallic support that extended down her arm.
At the last mont, as the Winter Soldier's iron fist reached her, the tallic brace unfolded with a snap, forming a thin, foldable gold titanium shield on her hand, much like a clock's second hand.
"Clang!"
Sparks flew as tal clashed.
"Ugh!"
Kagura grunted, maintaining her defensive stance as she slid backward under the force of the punch.
Her left arm tingled with a dull pain—this guy packed a punch.
anwhile, Natasha, who had been pushed out of the way, quickly rolled to her feet, kneeling and drawing her gun with practiced ease.
"I'll deal with him. You drag that guy away." Kagura said, keeping her stance.
"You're better at interrogation."
"Got it. Be careful."
Natasha seized the mont, darting toward the rcenary leader and pushing him into a nearby bush.
"Really? Just tossing him into the bushes?" Kagura thought.
"No wonder she's called the Black Widow."
But the Winter Soldier wasn't about to give them a break.
He had intended to execute a stealthy assassination, but Kagura had blocked it.
Annoyed, he stepped back, raised his modified light machine gun, and aid at Kagura, flicking off the safety and pulling the bolt.
"Wow, really? I'm just a helpless girl here!" Kagura mocked.
The relentless Winter Soldier wasn't interested in chatting. He pulled the trigger.
"Rat-tat-tat-tat!"
The machine gun roared, sending a barrage of bullets toward her from only a few ters away.
Kagura raised her left hand, and the titanium shield blocked the first few shots, causing sparks to fly.
But the specially modified bullets soon broke through the shield, sending shards flying in all directions.
"Ugh..." Kagura winced as a bullet narrowly missed her.

She triggered her active skill, decreasing her energy by 5%.
[Core Energy Remaining: 48.7%]
With lightning speed, Kagura sidestepped the incoming fire, tossing aside the damaged shield.
But the Winter Soldier was no ordinary shooter.
He imdiately tracked her movents and repositioned the machine gun to follow her.
Warnings flashed across her HUD.
Kagura activated her speed boost, darting away and using the transport vehicle to block his line of sight.
She quickly deployed her electroshock throwing darts.

The machine gun fire could keep up with her, but even Winter Soldier's enhanced senses struggled to track her.
Kagura gracefully leaped over the back of a car, aiming her right hand at his back, the dart launcher poised.
"Whirr—"
The triangular glow on her tactical glove lit up, and tal darts floated, spinning in the launcher.

"Boom!"
Electric arcs shot out as the darts whizzed toward the Winter Soldier, trailing fine conductive wires.

But just as they reached him, the Winter Soldier seed to anticipate the attack.
With a swift motion, he turned and raised his gun to intercept the darts.
"Clang!"
The machine gun's barrel was neatly severed by the dart, but the trajectory of the others was disrupted.
"Impressive," Kagura thought, impressed.
"Not bad for a Soviet-built super soldier based on Captain Arica."
She quickly discarded the broken dart and reloaded.
Winter Soldier, having dropped his damaged weapon, pulled out a handgun and aid it at her.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
His aim was precise, but Kagura's boosted speed made her untouchable.
Her HUD calculated the incoming shots, displaying their predicted trajectories.
With a graceful dodge, she evaded each shot, flipping and twisting through the air.
"Bang!"
Just as he emptied the magazine, another flash of electricity erupted, and the darts flew once more.
This ti, he tossed aside his pistol, straightened up, and struck a confident pose, extending his chanical left arm to catch the dart mid-air.
"Well, that's impressive."
Kagura smiled slightly, impressed by his reflexes.

[Non-lethal Electric Charge: Activated!]
The electricity surged through the tal arm, and the Winter Soldier stiffened, trembling uncontrollably.
"Ugh… ughhh..." His body shook as he slowly dropped to his knees, paralyzed.
"Not bad, wasn't too tough," Kagura muttered to herself as she quickly moved toward him.
She pressed her knee against his chest, holding his head down with both hands.
[Mini Capacitor, Activating!]
A blue pattern of glowing lines ran across her chest as the micro-capacitor on her outfit connected to her skin's energy network, funneling more power into her body.
"Ugh—!"
A strange, intense sensation spread through her body, tightening her muscles.
[Forced Charging Confird...]
[Core Energy Remaining: 57.6%]
Her golden eyes glead.
[Stealth Electro-Magnetic ntal Interference: Activated]
