Even though she had already prepared herself, when Kagura found herself surrounded by a dozen or so masked n ard with machetes and clubs, her mind was still filled with curses for Obadiah.
They'd chosen a secluded street, making sure no one was around. To avoid leaving evidence, they were using cold weapons instead of firearms.
The attackers appeared to be hired goons from various gangs, and there were quite a few of them.
Even soone with professional military training would have a tough ti surviving such a well-planned ambush.
Heh, Obadiah Stane, you sure know how to cover your tracks, don't you?
According to his plan, he would eliminate Tony Stark tonight, and while he was at it, take out the "tool," Kagura Hitomi.
This way, everyone who knew about his takeover of Stark Industries would be silenced.
Then, he could take over Stark Industries and turn it into Stane Industries without anyone stopping him.

She smirked slightly and adjusted her tactical gloves.
"You guys all have it tough, so why don't you all co at at once?"
"I'll try to control my strength, after all, we're in the U.S."
Although killing wasn't a problem for her, since she had no qualms about it, this was Los Angeles, not the barren mountains of Afghanistan.
After a quick mont of thought, she decided to disable them all and let the police handle it.
After all, the goons Obadiah hired were probably on the police's wanted list anyway.
As for whether they lived or died, whether they'd be crippled, that would be left to fate.
The dozen or so masked n around her exchanged looks, clearly surprised by Kagura's calm attitude.
After a short pause, one of them shouted, "Get her!"
Instantly, the group charged, swinging their machetes and clubs with a battle cry.
Sigh…
Kagura sighed and muttered under her breath.
You guys are even worse than the Ten Rings gang…

As the first goon swung his machete toward Kagura's delicate neck, he was hit hard.
She turned and delivered a flying kick straight to his chest.
The crack of bones was followed by the man flying backward and crashing into a trash can, unconscious.
In the next instant, Kagura flicked a throwing knife from her gloves. The wired dart pierced the thighs of two other goons, sending them both into a spasm.

[Tactical Gloves Electric Mode: Activated]
'Zzzzt—!'
Electric arcs surged through the tal wires, sending a powerful shock.
"Wahhh, nooo! Ahhh!"
The two stunned goons stumbled around, shaking uncontrollably before collapsing to the ground, twitching.
The remaining goons quickly closed in.
They weren't much in terms of strength, but they sure had guts.
If most people saw their friends go down in seconds, they'd probably chicken out, right?
Well, no matter. Let's just knock them all out.
Kagura bent her body, her core energy rippling across her form.
Her silver hair eerily floated in the air, giving the remaining goons a very bad feeling.

"Whooooosh—!"
Kagura disappeared from her spot.
What followed was a shockwave that deafened the goons.
Before they even understood what happened, they heard their comrades scream one by one, followed by the sickening sound of bones snapping.
Moving at the speed granted by her acceleration skill, Kagura dashed through the group, her hands flying through the air with precision.
For her, these goons were nothing more than grass underfoot.
"This... What kind of monster is this?" one of them scread.
Nine down!
"Didn't they say she was just a weak girl?" another one yelped.
Ten down!
"Why am I fighting soone like this... Ahhh!"
Eleven down!
"Wait, is this even human?!"
The last remaining goon stood frozen, staring at his fallen comrades in shock.
"Hey there, little buddy."
Kagura's sweet voice suddenly ca from behind him. "How about answering a few questions, huh?"
"Ahhh—!"
The man froze in fear, his body stiffening in place as he stamred, "Wh… What questions?! I'll tell you anything! Just don't kill !"
"I'm not killing anyone, I just broke all their bones," she replied nonchalantly.
"So, who's your employer? Tell , and I won't break your bones too."
"O-okay… okay!" The man fell to his knees, shaking.
"It's a big shot, looks wealthy, big beard, bald, wears sunglasses. Our boss made a deal with him…"
"Got it." she nodded thoughtfully.
"I knew it…"
"Well, um… Can I go now?"
The last goon trembled, pleading. "I was just in it for the money! I didn't really want to hurt anyone! Please, just let go, please, sister, please!"
"Sister?!" she frowned.
"Go die."
With a swift kick to his head, the man collapsed, unconscious.
"Do I look that old to you? Humph!" She pouted in displeasure, looking at the goons sprawled around her.
"Oh well, everything's solved. Ti to head ho…"
At that mont, a murderous intent emanated from behind her.
Who would've thought that a man who had just had his bones broken could still struggle to get up, grabbing his machete…
Fine, I respect that you're tough.
Kagura's holographic UI monitored the man's every movent.
"Sigh…"
She turned around, shaking her head in disbelief. "Why do you even bother?"
The man, still clutching the machete, shouted, "Don't underestimate ! Even soone like still has…"
'Boom!'
Before he could finish his sentence, a heavy blow struck him from behind.
Huh?
She was surprised.
Who was that?
The man collapsed, and a red-haired woman erged from behind him.
"Though he's a small-ti gangster, I kind of like his guts," the woman remarked, flicking her hair.
"You're good, almost took my job."
