Just as Tony and his team located Wanda and Pietro, another S.H.I.E.L.D. squad tracked down Sam Wilson, the Falcon. Facing the agents who ca to find him, Sam had long known this day would co.
Ever since his public appearance on the screen, he had been recognized. He didn't expect S.H.I.E.L.D. to act so efficiently, but he was prepared. With a resigned sigh, he gathered his belongings and got into their car, ready to face whatever ca next.
anwhile, in a modest ho, Wanda and Pietro sat in silence, torn between their emotions. They had spent years longing for vengeance against Tony Stark, blaming him for their parents' deaths. But after watching Tony's actions unfold, their perspective began to shift.
It beca painfully clear—Tony Stark had not directly caused the war that took their family. He had rely manufactured the weapons. The true villains were those who wielded them to incite destruction. Obadiah Stane, for instance, was one of those n.
Upon learning that Tony had halted weapon production the mont he realized its devastating consequences, the twins were forced to reconsider their hatred.
They had also witnessed the bravery and integrity of Captain Arica and his allies. Pietro, especially, began questioning whether they were truly enemies. Perhaps they shared the sa goal—a desire for justice.
Both Wanda and Pietro had always sought justice, hoping for a peaceful world. It was a dream that Captain Arica and even Stark himself seed to share.
Yet, for Wanda, it was difficult to let go of years of resentnt. Standing face-to-face with the man she had blad for so long, her heart wavered.
A flood of unfamiliar emotions surged through her, so overwhelming that she instinctively turned away. Panic gripped her as she reached for the door, slamming it shut behind her with a loud bang.
It was as if shutting the door would block out everything—Tony, the painful mories, and the confusion swelling inside her.
Pietro, equally unsettled, tightened his grip around an old, slightly yellowed photograph. His eyes locked onto the familiar faces frozen in ti, his mind spiraling back to that fateful day.
The horrors of war resurfaced like a relentless tide, threatening to drown him. And yet, as he watched Tony's story unfold through the mysterious screen, he found it harder and harder to place all the bla on him.
Yes, the bomb that had taken their parents bore the Stark na. But hadn't fate played a cruel trick on them as well? Had things been slightly different, the catastrophe might have been even worse. After all, the powerful bomb had never actually detonated.
A firm knock on the door pulled Pietro from his thoughts.
"Wanda? Pietro?" Captain Arica's voice called out.
Pietro hesitated before exhaling sharply and stepping toward the door. He hesitated for only a mont before pulling it open.
Captain Arica frowned slightly. "What's going on? You took a while to open up."
Pietro looked at the Captain for a mont before greeting him softly, "Captain." He then stepped aside to let them in.
Uncertain of the twins' emotions, Captain Arica cautiously entered, followed by Tony and Clint Barton.
"If there's sothing on your mind, you can talk to us," Steve offered sincerely. "I know this is our first eting, but we're all here to help."
Wanda took a sharp breath, her fingers curling at her sides. Her gaze flickered between Tony and Steve before she forced herself to speak.
"No… we're fine," she muttered. "It's just… we don't want to see Tony Stark right now."
Tony's eyebrows shot up. "What?" He blinked, glancing between them. "Okay, okay, I'll leave. No problem." He raised his hands in surrender and took a step toward the door.
"Wait," Pietro suddenly called out.
Wanda turned sharply to look at him, but he t her gaze with unwavering seriousness. "We can't keep living in the past, Wanda. It's only hurting us."
Tony frowned. A strange uneasiness settled in his gut. Did he sohow cause more harm than he realized?
Pietro turned to Tony, his voice steady but firm. "Stark, for years, we wanted nothing more than to tear you apart—to avenge our parents."
Tony recoiled. "Whoa—what?" His hands instinctively moved to his chest, as if expecting to be impaled at any second.
Rhodey imdiately tensed, prepared to intervene, while Steve shot Pietro a wary glance.
"Relax," Pietro said, sighing. "We've co to understand so things."
Steve took the initiative to defuse the tension. "Then tell us," he urged. "We're listening."
Pietro exhaled and began recounting their past. Wanda stood silently beside him, her expression unreadable.
"We were ten years old," Pietro started, his voice carrying the weight of painful mories. "It was an ordinary dinner. Our parents, Wanda, and I—just the four of us."
"Then the first shell hit," Wanda whispered, her voice trembling. "It tore a hole through two floors below us, leaving nothing but a gaping abyss."
"Our parents fell in," Pietro continued. "The house started collapsing. I grabbed Wanda and we rolled under the bed."
"Then the second shell ca," Wanda murmured. "But it didn't explode. It landed in the rubble, just one ter away from us."
She clenched her fists. "And on it—"
"Was your na," Pietro finished grimly. "STARK."
A heavy silence filled the room.
Tony swallowed hard.
"We were trapped there for two days," Pietro continued, his voice eerily calm. "Two whole days of pure terror. Every second, we thought this is it. This is when it explodes."
Wanda's voice was quiet but sharp. "For two days, you could have killed us at any mont."
Tony's throat tightened.
"I'm sorry," he said softly. "I truly am. I never intended for this to happen… but that doesn't change what you went through."
He let out a shaky breath. "I didn't know. I didn't know my weapons would cause you so much pain."
Wanda's eyes burned red.
For years, her hatred had fueled her. And now, standing before the man she had blad for so long, she was lost.
Because he wasn't the monster she had built in her mind.
Everyone stood in silence, unsure of what to say. Even Steve struggled to find words.
Tony stared at the ground. He had spent years making ands for his past, but so wounds would never truly heal.
Wanda's hands trembled at her sides. The storm of emotions within her was too much.
And then, it happened.
Her power surged.
A crimson glow pulsed around her, flickering like wildfire as her emotions overwheld her.
Her true power was awakening.
