[Tonsberg, 965 CE]
It was a cold and peaceful night. Aurora Borealis appeared in the sky, accompanying the people in Tonsberg. People were drinking and talking in the middle of the village, I had just brought them so hunts to be cooked and eaten.
I was sitting on a corner with Thena. ad on our hands, and we watched them as they got drunk to their heart's content. Gilgash was enjoying the party it seed, he was dancing with the local ladies, laughing and moving around the bonfire. Ikaris and Sersi were nowhere to be seen, and I saw Kingo entertaining so kids while their parents danced.
“It’s rare for them to act like this.” Thena comnted beside , sipping her ad.
“It’s not rare. We just had no ti to party with the humans anymore.” I added. “You want to dance?”
Thena just chuckled. “You can dance?”
“Well, I can move.” I shrugged. “Shake my hips a little.”
“Like what you did yesterday night?” scoffed Thena.
“Oookayy… let’s not talk about that…” I murmured. “Fine then, if you don’t want to dance.”
“No, let’s dance, I just doubt your ability to keep up with .” teased Thena.
I groaned, this woman… “I’ll show you how to dance…”
Thena chuckled, we both stood up, and I held her hand, bringing her to the bonfire. We both then danced around the fire, moving to our heart’s content. I was horrible at it, Thena kept laughing at because of the way I moved, never really practised dancing… Perhaps I’ll try it after this… anyway, it doesn't really matter if I look like an idiot, as long as she’s smiling, then it’s fine.
“See, you’re clearly horrible at this.” Thena giggled as show her elegant dance moves to .
“Well, I’ll try to learn it after this.” I rolled my eyes.
“Good.” humd Thena. “I don’t want you to embarrass yourself in front of humans.”
She then dragged away from the bonfire, and we both laughed as we sat down again, taking our ad to our hands again.
“You want to go back to bed?” I questioned Thena, as I saw her cald down from laughing.
She rolled her eyes. “Not in the mood right now.” she said. “Let’s just spend ti together.”
I chuckled. “Okay.”
She drunk her ad from the mug she’s holding, and continued to look at the humans who were dancing. “Let’s move to another place.”
“Why?”
“No reason.” she said softly. “I just suddenly feel anxious.”
“Again?” I frowned. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, just-” she sighed, and stood up. “Let’s go sowhere else.”
I just nodded, “Let’s go to the wharf then.”
—
We are now sitting on the edge of the wharf’s wooden platform. The cold wind breezes through us, hitting our skin and would probably make a normal human shiver, but we can withstand it.
“Tell about your anxiousness, Thena.” I spoke softly.
“It’s honestly nothing.” she said. “It’s just, everyday, the anxiousness seems to increase more and more.”
“Are you always anxious?”
“No.” she shook her head. “But whenever we just stay still, it always cos back.”
I humd. Her mories from past lives started to overlap maybe? “I’ll think of sothing.”
“Honestly, I’m fine Pluto.” She denies my help. “I just need space.”
“Okay…” I murmured. “You want to go right now?”
“No, not that kind of space.” she rolled her eyes. “You stay, but don’t talk.”
I chuckled. “Okay then.”
She then sat closer to , laying her head on my shoulder. We sat there in comfortable silence, watching as the aurora borealis showed themselves in the night sky.
I held her hand and caressed her palm, making her smile. The water in front of us is as calm as it can be, no wave, just flat. Gulls were sitting around us, but they didn’t bother us whatsoever. They just sat there, looking at the aurora borealis like us, not moving an inch.
I then saw a couple of fish jump from the water, disturbing the calm water in front of us.
I just sighed, and leaned my head on Thena’s head, kissing the top of her head.
“You okay now?” I questioned softly.
“Shut up.” she answered.
I chuckled once again, and just shut up.
But then I noticed sothing.
The temperature was slowly dropping, to the point that I started to feel the cold.
I frowned. “Thena, sothing’s wrong.”
She straightened her back, and humd. “Yes, do you feel the cold?”
“Yes, I feel it.”
We stood up. Thena then said. “Let’s go back to the others.”
We then ran towards the bonfire, where the people were still dancing in happiness.
The other Eternals however, had probably noticed sothing’s wrong.
As we arrived at the bonfire, the others were already gathered at the coast.
“Do you feel that?” questioned Ikaris. “The cold. We felt cold.”
“Yes.” Kingo nodded. “What’s going on? Ajak?”
“I don’t know,” said Ajak.
Then, flashes of blinding lights appeared from across the body of water. Then I saw it. n with blue skin, no, they are not n, they are sothing else. Wait… this is the war between Asgard and Jotunheim… Isn’t it? Is it ti already?
Ajak frowned as she saw it. “Frost giants.”
“Frost giants?” questioned Gilgash, “What’s that?”
Ajak then shook her head hurriedly. “No ti, evacuate the humans far away from them.”
“Ajak, what’s happening-” before Sersi could finish her sentence, a wave of icy cold wind suddenly appeared from the frost giants across the body of water, freezing the water as they blew in our direction.
“Protect yourself!” shouted Ajak to the humans, and they scattered from the bonfire.
I frowned, I quickly wore my Limbo ring, and stood in front of everyone.
“Pluto, what are you doing?!” shouted Thena frantically.
I ignored her. I then conjured a giant mirror like shield as the wind neared us. The wind hit the shield, and the force was so strong that I had to hold it with a little bit more magic.
“Quickly! Evacuate the people!” I shouted to the others, and they began to work.
anwhile, between the icy wind, I saw the leader of the frost giants frowning as he saw what I did. He was holding a casket, and he closed it as he saw what I did, stopping the wind entirely.
As the wind disappears. I saw the body of water in front of completely frozen, turning into a cold and empty battlefield.
“Well, ti for you guys to appear now.” I said to myself as my eyes glowed. Thousands of my constructs appeared before , and the streets of Tonsberg turned gold.
Idemnon was standing beside . “Another kingdom to destroy, my lord?”
“Nah, I don’t do that anymore.”
phia scoffed. “Tell that to the previous kingdom you destroy.”
“ASTERION WANTS BLOOD!” shouted the brute, looking at the sea of blue n in front.
“Well.” I coughed. I looked above , and saw a giant golden construct flying above. It was smaug, his wings were spread open, and he was hovering above . “First ti, Smaug?”
“It appears that this is my first true battle besides you, my lord.”
“No matter.” I shrugged. “Plenty of blue n to kill.”
