"...How can this be... The Seal of the Unlimited has been broken this effortlessly... Is this the power of the True Gods?"
Sacrael’s eyes shook in fright.
The rest of the Bulwarkians were also shrinking back in fear and were slowly making their way over to the stairs.
In that mont, Kiernan raised his gaze at them and lifted the halberd effortlessly with one hand.
"RUN!"
Sacrael shouted, and they started running towards the stairs, but the halberd was already swinging.
"Iron Armant Style, The Sundering!"
The halberd sliced through the running Bulwarkians as if carving a cake, and they were still in a state of shock when their bodies were falling down to the ground.
Sacrael blinked his eyes couple of tis before he stopped moving altogether, and his heart stopped.
And just like, ten strongest warriors of the Bulwark Tribe died in so random basent in random Bulwark City.
Boooom!
The basent exploded. The roof was blown off. The house above the basent collapsed in on itself, leaving nothing but rubble and smoke in its wake.
In that mont, Kiernan jumped through the rubble and hovered high above the City of Bulwarkians with the halberd in hand.
The city was less technologically advanced than the rest of the world, and the roads were still dirt and the buildings made of stone.
’That tribe chief must’ve wanted to do the ceremony here, and use all these people as sacrifice to beco Martial God.
’There are a couple of ways to beco Martial God and it looks like he chose the bloody way.’
Kiernan looked down to the ground, and saw Raqe climbing out of the rubble with his face smashed.
He softly landed next to him.
"Ugh... Argh... Ptui..."
Raqe turned around with bloody face, angrily looked at Kiernan, and it was anger that ca straight from frustration.
The feeling of absolute powerlessness.
He’d been living all his life as being hailed as the greatest genius to co from the tribe—Ever!—and everyone been trying to curry favor with him.
They all knew that one day he would be standing in the doorsteps of Martial God.
And if they stayed with him and beca part of his close circle, they would be enormously benefit from him.
Raqe never had lack of money or won. He always got everything he wanted.
And it seed pretty obvious that he would beco Martial God and start his conquering journey with Bulwark Tribe.
Yet.
Here he was currently.
Bleeding in the ground. The face broken from multiple places.
The anger burning in his heart ca from the fact that he hated Kiernan, but he couldn’t do anything about it.
The strength difference between the two of them was simply sothing that he couldn’t overco.
A crushing defeat!
"This is for Sabbath."
Kiernan lifted halberd, and struck him down. The head of Raqe rolled down to the ground before coming to a stop next to a pile of rocks.
Thump... Thump... Thump...
In that mont, tsudo walked out of the rubble, and brushed off the dust from his breezy-looking trousers.
"Well, this is rather interesting. That summoning helped us to escape the One-Versus-One realm, which is the first ti for .
"I can still feel that realm existing over where we fought, and I cannot summon another one before that disappears.
"I guess that realm still thinks that we are inside that place... Thus, it will only disappear when one of us dies."
tsudo laughed.
"...I am ready to continue if you are."
Kiernan said while looking at the beautiful halberd in his hands.
"I am—"
tsudo didn’t finish his sentence before Kiernan had already swung the halberd straight at him with a rageful swing.
tsudo pressed his sword against the halberd’s blade, and parried the attack with a swift motion.
The blade of the halberd struck ground, and split it in half. A large crevice appeared on the street, and dust and debris flew into the air, clouding their vision.
"...Ahhh!"
"...Ruuuun!"
A distance away, the frightened-looking Bulwarkian citizens were running away from the sight of the battle.
They were ordinary citizens, but still, they definitely had the blood of the Bulwarkians running down their veins.
They were all big. Even won. With bodies like bodybuilders, big buttocks, big breasts, and ugly faces.
"Hahahahaha!"
tsudo spread his arms wide as if he were enjoying this mont greatly, and his laughter echoed throughout the city.
"This is good...Very good... Let’s fight to the fullest, Kiernan!"
tsudo swung his sword with force.
With nimble fingers, Kiernan twirled the halberd back into his hand, and he swung it towards the sword.
The halberd’s blade and tsudo’s sword clashed.
Dooooooooom~
tsudo’s eyes glinted, and at that mont, he jumped over the halberd and smashed his knee into Kiernan’s face.
Boom!
Kiernan got flung backwards, flying across the land of the Bulwarkians, and he eventually crashed into the ground at the outskirts of the city.
With a blank expression, he looked at the bright sky and let out a long sigh.
’My life had truly changed. Fighting against Gods, visiting Heavens, and talking shit to Death himself.
’A couple of days ago, before the start of the Feast of the Gods, I rembered the past... The days in Irio.
’With Julian, playing gas back at ho... Then training martial arts under an oak tree... and falling asleep while staring at that poster of phisto Acheron in my room.
’The good old days... I want to return back to those peaceful days... However, it looks like I still have a long way to go until then.
’I will not stop, though.’
Kiernan stood up, picked up the halberd from the ground, and slowly walked down the street, dragging the halberd behind him.
In the buildings near him, the Bulwarkians closed the curtains, locked the doors, and flipped their lights off.
"Whooooo!"
At that mont, tsudo appeared on the end of the street, running towards him with a big smile on his face.
"Let’s keep fighting till one of us is DEAD!"
tsudo whipped his sword down, and Kiernan t it with the shaft of his halberd, and the two forces collided.
Doooom~ CRACK!
The ground under them shattered, and a shockwave rippled outwards.
"Haaaaaaah!"
Kiernan grabbed the halberd with both hands and clashed with the sword with the sparks flying.
In the middle of the street, with the Bulwarkians spying through small gaps between their curtains, the battle between the two warriors raged on with no end in sight.
With fluidity, Kiernan was swinging the halberd as if it wasn’t the heaviest weapon in the entire world.
To him, it was as light as an ordinary short sword would be.
tsudo smiled happily while swinging his sword, and they repeatedly clashed, their weapons creating a beautiful dance with no end in sight.
Cling! Cling! Cling! Cling!
"Aaargh!"
Kiernan swung the halberd, but tsudo flipped over it, and while spinning in the air, he waved his sword at him.
The blade neared Kiernan’s neck, but at the last possible mont, he pulled his head back, narrowly avoiding his head getting sliced off.
"Close~"
tsudo smiled.
"No, you weren’t!"
Kiernan moved the halberd after tsudo, and he wasn’t quite ready for it, and he put the sword in front of it.
Acting like his sword could block the full force of the halberd.
However.
When the halberd smashed into his sword, tsudo got sent flying through the buildings and landed who knows where.
"Huff... Huff... Huff..."
Kiernan breathed heavily.
Buzz~ Buzz~ Buzz~
At that mont, his phone started vibrating, and Kiernan, with a raised eyebrow, pulled out his phone from his pocket.
He was receiving a phone call from Aoi.
"Hello?"
Kiernan placed the phone against his ear, and from the other side of the phone, he heard a long sigh of relief.
"You’re alright... The two of you suddenly disappeared... Are you alright? Where are you currently, and are you fine?"
"...Yeah, but I am still fighting. I’ll be back by lunch, okay?"
Kiernan asked.
"Oh... Okay... Be safe... I love you..."
"I love you too."
Kiernan ended the call, pocketed the phone, and looked at the destroyed building, where tsudo was walking back from.
"You have a family?"
tsudo asked.
"...A wife and daughter."
Kiernan said.
"How old is your daughter?"
"...I suppose she is nine years old now."
Kiernan said.
"Oh... That ans we kept you captive during the birth of your daughter and most of her life."
tsudo chuckled.
"Yes, you guys did. I am sure you can understand the burning rage that I am currently holding back because of that."
Kiernan said coldly.
He was trying to keep his emotions in check as losing control of his emotions could an certain death.
"Yeah, I do. Black Knights were my family, and you killed all of them. I think you can also understand how pissed I am."
tsudo smiled.
"You don’t seem very pissed."
Kiernan said.
"Trust ... I am... Absolutely fuming!"
tsudo laughed, and the two of them clashed again—halberd against the sword—and the sound of their fighting were even louder than thunderclaps.
