Chapter 776: Sealing Love
“…It’s been a while since we all have gathered, hasn’t it?”
Sabbath said with a grin and wrapped his thick arm around Kiernan’s shoulders.
“It has indeed.”
Kiernan said.
“…Sigh, to think that my student has already beco master himself. It makes proud to see how much you have grown.”
Sabbath said and did so crocodile tears.
All of the Martial Order had gathered in Pankratios’ cave, and while the vibes seed relaxed, there was also so underlying tension present.
It was like they all knew that they were summoned here for a really important reason.
Imperius and Xerxus were just sitting at the table and were staying quiet.
At the corner of the cave, Julian was just sitting and was trying to make his presence as small as possible.
He wasn’t an official mber of the Martial Order just yet, but Pankratios had done the contract with him, so he couldn’t reveal the Martial Order’s existence to anyone.
Julian also had access to the Martial Order app, but still, he hadn’t beco an official mber just yet.
In that mont, Pankratios walked into the room, and everyone quieted down and slowly sat down at the table.
Pankratios stayed standing and just put his hands down on the table.
“Half an hour ago, I had a phone call with the governnt. I’ve been in talks with them with the help of Xerxus here.
“It ans that Martial Order has actively been talking with them, and we’ve co to an arrangent with them.
“In one week, Martial Order will sail to Dead World for an expedition, and depending on how it goes, it might very well be the last expedition ever.
“We will either discover the truth about Dead World, or we might never co back and instead join the many corpses that have already t their end there.”
Pankratios said with a serious look on his face.
Everyone at the table looked quite serious.
They knew it was only a matter of ti before they headed over to Dead World to find out more about rcedes Rosburg.
That ti had co sooner than any of them expected.
“…I am giving all of you one week to get your things sorted and prepare to leave for a long ti.
“I don’t know how long it will take, but I don’t think we can return before Christmas, so we’re most likely only back next year.”
Pankratios said.
“…You said that you have talked with the governnt?”
Genevieve said.
“Human Governnt has been preparing for this expedition for a while, and they have always wanted to send as strong of an expedition group as possible.
“They couldn’t possibly gather three Immortals like we can, including Martial Emperors, Legends, and Kings.
“I offered my helping hand to them, and there was so push back by so corners of governnt, but eventually, we ca to an arrangent.”
Pankratios said.
“…Everyone, stand up.”
Xerxus said.
They all stood up, and touched their chest with two of their fingers. They drew a symbol. And then raised their hand to the ceiling.
“We, Martial Order, will protect this world from foreign and present threats. It is our duty, it is our honor, and it is our privilege.”
Xerxus said.
“…We will!”
Every mber of the Martial Order shouted.
‘…I have a bad feeling about this expedition.’
Kiernan thought.
However, he then shook his head to shake off those thoughts.
…
“…”
Aoi sat silently in her room, and Kiernan was standing by the doorway, leaning against the wall, looking at her silently.
“…I don’t want you to go.”
Aoi said, and her body was trembling.
“ neither.”
Kiernan said.
“…Then, why?”
Aoi looked up at him with a teary gaze and clenched her hands into tight fists. She had already started to have a little bulge around her stomach.
The small life was starting to grow inside her.
“…I’ve had this sinking feeling inside my body for a very long ti. It happens only when I think about one person.
“rcedes Rosburg.
“I think there is a threat in this world that will one day co here, and I fear for the safety of our child. I don’t think there will be a future for our child in that future.
“Ngh…”
She tried to hold back her tears, and then Kiernan knelt before her and touched her soft hand with his rough, calloused fingers.
His fingers traced her jawline gently, wiping away the tears that had already begun to fall.
“Let’s get married right now. I want to do it before I leave, and I will be back before our child is born.”
Kiernan said, and touched her stomach gently.
“…Okay.”
Aoi whispered, feeling overwheld with emotion, and smiled despite the tears falling down her eyes, and then kissed him.
…
Four days later, Nightingale Island.
The flower petals fell from the ceiling, falling over the bride and the groom as they stood at the altar.
With a soft look, Kiernan slid the ring onto her finger, and Aoi, dressed in beautiful white silk, whispered her vows.
“You may kiss the bride.”
The priest said.
Leaning forward, Kiernan sealed the love with a tender kiss on Aoi’s lips, and the whole hall erupted into cheers and applause.
The hall had close to a thousand guests.
mbers of the Abracadabra family, the last remaining mbers of the Arakawa family, and even a couple mbers of the Hunter family.
“Sniff! Sniff! Sniff!”
Bella teared up, and her older sister, Nevaeh, smiled and just wiped off her tears that kept falling like a waterfall.
Sitting behind them, Karma looked at Bella with a mixed expression and then turned back to his son, overwhelming feelings of joy filling his heart.
“…You should be here seeing this.”
Arakawa Raizen whispered to himself as he was watching from a little distance away, and when he saw Aoi, he couldn’t help but smile.
It hadn’t even been two years since she t with Kiernan, and everything turned out to be better after that experience for her.
At the back of the hall, Karl-Michael watched the unison get sealed with the kiss and looked over at her daughter, Bella.
‘I thought the next ti I would see a marriage, it would be Bella’s own wedding, but this is fine too. She looks happy.’
He looked at Kiernan, nodded with approval, and walked out.
