Chapter 535: Martial Order eting
Absentmindedly, Aoi ca back to the inn room and put the groceries in the fridge and freezer while thinking about the encounter outside.
“Is everything alright?”
Kiernan looked over from the couch.
He noticed that her expression was strange—it was like she was a walking marionette—and the strings were being pulled in all different directions.
“I…”
Aoi put the bag away, turned around to look at him, and asked.
“Do you believe in fortune telling?”
“No. It’s just a scam.”
Kiernan said.
She walked to him, sat next to him, and snuggled close to him while the dark-furred Fen lay in front of them, his eyes half-closed.
“I t a fortune teller outside, and she was able to perfectly predict my present and past. It was really chilling.”
“Oh, like what?”
Kiernan asked.
“Like that, I am really happy with my present situation and know my past exactly like it was.”
She said with a frown.
“This is a tier one country. That fortune teller might’ve been using Martial Ability, like reading through your mories, and tricking you that way.”
Kiernan said.
“But she didn’t ask for any money.”
She said.
“Maybe she is hoping for repeat custors and hopes you co back to her to ask more about your future.
“And then she’ll ask so outrageous price, and you’ll pay because you’re curious.”
Kiernan said.
“Maybe you’re right… However, what she said about my future really bothers . I am worried that sothing will happen to you in the near future.”
Aoi said.
“She must’ve seen the ring on your finger and tricked you into thinking that sothing will happen to the person that gave you the ring.
“It’s all mind gas really, which is the specialty of Mindbreakers, and they are quite good at it.”
Kiernan said.
“However, she shuffled the cards right in front of and took out the perfect cards that represented my past, present, and future.”
Aoi said with a pout.
“Haha, a magician’s trick, even I know how to do that. Do you want to go find that fortune teller and stop her from bothering you?”
He asked.
“Mmh…”
She smiled, put her head down on his lap, and put her feet over the couch’s armrest—she then closed her eyes and enjoyed the mont of peace.
After hearing his words, she felt more at ease and thought that what he talked about made really good sense.
She noticed the creepy smile on the elderly woman’s lips, and she must’ve thought that she managed to trick her with her act.
“I guess you’re right!”
She brightened up with a smile.
…
It had beco a night, and the city of Rodero turned into night ti—people started heading to the dungeon that was lit extrely well with lanterns, and torches.
“Are you coming to bed?”
Aoi stood at the doorway of the room, in a white sleeping gown, which looked quite revealing with the moonlight streaming through the window.
The white sleeping gown showed off her delicate curves and porcelain skin—it also showed off her skin quite a bit with translucent fabric.
“I’ll ditate for a bit, and then I’ll join you. You have the book you’ve been reading, yeah? Wait for , and I’ll be there shortly.”
Kiernan said from the couch.
“ditating this late? Mmh, alright… Don’t make wait too long~”
She went back inside, closing the door behind her with a gentle click.
With her gone, Kiernan pulled out his phone and saw that the eting ti was in five minutes—he rolled up his sleeves and went inside the vacant room.
He checked that the drawing on the ceiling was good and then sat down on the ditation mat.
The ti ticked down on his phone—it soon reached ten at night—and as soon as it did, the half-closed eye drawing suddenly opened fully.
It was now a fully open eye—it was drawing, yet it seed so real—and Kiernan felt a suction force pulling him towards the ceiling.
He couldn’t do anything except let it happen, and then he got sucked inside the eye before disappearing from the room.
…
When Kiernan opened his eyes, he saw that he was standing inside so kind of rock cave that was lit up by glowing crystals of various colors.
The cave didn’t look like any ordinary cave—it looked like soone was living there—as it had furniture, decorations, and other signs of habitation.
In the center of the cave, there was a long stone eting table with stone thrones surrounding it, and there were currently people seated around it.
They turned to look at the newcor, raised their eyebrows, and Kiernan sat in one of the empty seats.
‘Young…’
A few people who hadn’t seen him before thought and wondered which one he was in the Martial Order.
After Kiernan ca, a few other people ca from the empty air, looked around the cave in surprise, and took their seats around the stone table.
All seats were now filled.
While looking around, Kiernan saw few familiar faces—such as Pankratios, Imperius, Xerxus, Amara, and his master, Sabbath.
“Thank you for all getting here for the first official eting of Martial Order. We’re in my humble abode, and this will be the place where our future etings will also take place.
“Today, we’ll discuss the mbers who should stay as part of Martial Order and the future goals.”
Pankratios said.
Xerxus nodded with his arms crossed and looked across the table at Imperius, who gazed back at him with a cold gaze.
“My na’s Pankratios King, and I am the creator of the New Martial Order. I have sothing to discuss after we’ve all introduced each other.”
Pankratios said.
“My na’s Xerxus Stroud, and I am the Fleet Admiral of the Navy. I go by the na of Hero Among Rulers.”
Xerxus said.
“My na’s Imperius Rex, and I am the forefather of pirates. Hehe, but I myself haven’t done much piracy for a while anymore. I am also known as Imperio.”
Imperius said with a cold gaze.
When the others saw him and heard him, they were conflicted about how to feel about him, as on the other hand, having him as their ally would be amazing.
However, they weren’t quite sure whether they could trust him!
