Chapter 529: Blue Card
Pankratios swung his staff at Death rchant, pumling him with a series of powerful strikes, but it didn’t really do anything.
With his pale hand, Death rchant grabbed the staff, yanked it off Pankratios’ hands, and then smacked it across his face.
Pankratios flew through the air, but his face showed nonchalance—with a snap of his fingers, the staff vanished from the Death rchant’s hands and appeared back in his own.
‘Are you ready, Cold Shade?’
He asked.
‘Ready!’
A woman’s voice suddenly sounded inside his mind.
With a wave of his staff, the trapped space disappeared for a mont, and as soon as it happened, the Death rchant lunged towards the exit.
Bang! Bang!
Xerxus fired his revolver and shot Death rchant in both knees, which made him drop to the ground with a painful groan.
With a quick damage transfer, the wounds on his knees disappeared, and he was about to lunge towards the exit but noticed that the purple do had returned.
It was gone only for a second!
“Hmm?”
At that mont, Death rchant slled a familiar life scent and looked over to the top of the stadium, where a man with a faceless mask stood.
“Oh, you’ve co back to die?”
Amara landed next to Kiernan, and with a smile on her face behind the raven mask, she pulled out blue cards from her pocket.
She tossed the cards into the air, and in the air, they transford into a flock of blue ravens that flew across the air.
The caras turned to look at the strange sight.
With singing echoing out of the ravens mouths, they suddenly transford into humans—ballerinas that were just dancing across the air—and stars started to fall from the sky above.
It was an eye-widening mont!
“Hmm~”
Amara jumped through the air—two ballerinas grabbed her arms and held her afloat—then they slowly brought her back to the ground.
“Who is it this ti around?!”
The comntator shouted in shock.
“…”
Death rchant looked coldly at the raven-masked woman and pointed his pale, long finger towards her.
“Raven Fall.”
Amara lowered her finger, and the dancing ballerinas turned back to blue ravens—then they fell straight down at Death rchant like shooting stars—and smashed into him.
Death rchant didn’t flinch—it was a painless attack—and it felt more like tickling.
“Is that the best you can do?”
He asked.
“You should be careful. I am just distracting you.”
She said with a beautiful smile.
“?!”
Death rchant looked above—ca face-to-face with a fist—and got punched in the face.
Boom!
The ground crackled and exploded underneath him.
Death rchant smashed into the ground, went through the earth, and landed in the dark, damp cavern below.
“Urgh!”
He coughed painfully and landed on the forest-filled floor below him.
Reeling back his fist, Kiernan landed on the ground, looking cold behind the faceless mask, and looked at his fist.
It was broken!
‘Hmm~ I am not at the level of False Immortal.’
Kiernan touched his broken fist and snapped it back into place with a wince of pain.
“Bone Harmony…”
When he finished doing that, he looked around him and saw that Pankratios, Amara, and Xerxus were all looking at him.
“What’s the plan?”
Kiernan asked.
“Imperius is searching for the book of the dark ceremony, and once he gets his hands on it, he can send Death rchant back where he ca from.
“Until then, we’ll need to keep him distracted.”
Xerxus said.
“Sounds easy eno—”
As Kiernan was about to say, the ground behind him exploded, Death rchant jumped through, and gazed at Kiernan.
With the cold gaze of death, Kiernan’s heart stopped beating.
“Ugh…”
Kiernan gasped breathlessly, but he then punched his own chest and forcefully made his heart beat again.
It beat faintly, but enough to keep him alive.
Bang! Bang!
Xerxus shot Death rchant in the heart two tis, and he dropped to the ground, motionless—but a second later, he stood back up and released a rain of black bullets.
Kiernan weaved through the black bullets, moved his right arm back, and jumped towards Death rchant.
“Iron Style, Bullet!”
The wobbling arm shot forward and smashed Death rchant in the chest, which sent him flying through the air.
Death rchant, pan-faced, turned into black smoke, slithered through the air, and then turned around.
He appeared from the black smoke, grabbed Kiernan by his throat, and hurled him across the air.
Flying like a cannonball, Kiernan smashed through a window and landed inside the comntator’s booth.
“Eek!”
The comntator scread and looked at the faceless-masked man, who was slowly climbing back to his feet.
“Whoo…”
Kiernan breathed heavily, stood up, looked at the dozen screens around, and then turned to the frightened comntator.
He reached out to his pocket, pulled out a blue card that Amara gave him, and tossed it at the comntator.
The comntator caught the blue card with a shocked gaze, and looked at it—on one side, Martial Order was written, and on the other side, there was a mysterious symbol that the comntator didn’t recognize.
‘Martial Order…’
…
“Yawn~”
Sacrael yawned, waiting in front of the vault, and the rest of the Bulwarkians also looked quite impatient.
“When the hell is that guy coming…”
“We should already be on our way out of the island!”
At that mont, hurried footsteps ca from the stairs, and a pale-faced gentleman with glasses appeared.
He had a card in his trembling hand.
“You’ve co, at last.”
Sacrael smiled and walked over to the man, who just avoided his gaze.
“I-If I do this… My family won’t be hurt, right?”
“Of course… If you open the vault for , your family will be safe, I promise in the na of our tribal chief.”
With a scared nod, the man walked to the vault, slid the card key into the slot, and turned it to unlock the door.
With a screeching creak, the vault door opened, and in front of their eyes, they ca across the flask of the Martial God Blood.
“Ahh~ At last!”
Sacrael entered the vault, lifted the flask with a smile, and walked out of the vault, being extrely careful with it.
They put it inside the bag, made sure that it was secured, and then zipped it shut.
“Thank you…”
Sacrael said, turned to the pale-faced man, and then stabbed his finger through the man’s heart.
“Cough!”
The man coughed blood, his heart exploded from the stab, and he collapsed to the ground, dead within seconds.
“Your family will be safe. You, on the other hand, won’t.”
