Chapter 520: Getting Ridiculous

The hours flew by, and the line before the Talent Road had shrunk significantly—close to three hundred people had already completed it.

At the current mont, the person in the first place reached 35 ters, and thus, he was slightly shy of being a great genius.

“Finally… My turn.”

Frown Man stood at the starting line of the Talent Road and looked behind him—Prince Leonida stood coldly behind him.

“Because of you, I had dropped out of the top ten to eleventh place. That will change. In this event, you cannot sabotage .

“Want to see who is the greater talent, huh?”

Frown Man asked with a sick grin.

“…You bet.”

Prince Leonida said coldly.

“Hahahaha…”

Frown Man laughed, then stepped forward and entered the road—he quickly crossed the first ten ters—and he kept advancing further.

14 ters… 15 ters… 16 ters… 17 ters…

It looked like he was a having a fun stroll, and then, he reached the twenty ters, and officially was classified as genius.

Prince Leonida’s expression stayed cold.

There was no doubt in his mind that the pirate scum was going to reach that mark, and from here on, the difficulty would spike.

‘Mhm… My body feels heavy.’

Frown Man frowned and picked up his pace slightly—he didn’t want to stay in this heavy air any longer than necessary—and soon he reached thirty ters.

31… 32… 33… 34… 35.

Frown Man gritted his teeth, noticed that he was tied with the first place right now, and forced himself to take one more step.

36 ters!

His na appeared in first place.

The audience had mixed expressions—none of them wanted to cheer for the pirate; however, they had to agree that his performance was impressive.

Frown Man stepped forward. 37 ters. And another step. 38 ters. With a painful grunt, yet another step.

He was standing at 39 ters!

The audience looked in surprise and wondered whether he could reach the forty-ter mark!

In God High, those who were among the top ten rankers had all reached the forty-ter mark, so if Frown Man reached it, he would prove that he belonged among the best!

“Co on!”

He scread, his eyes blazed, and his legs fought against him—yet, he still slid his feet through the road and reached the next mark.

40 ters reached!

With that, he collapsed on the ground, sweating heavily, with an exhausted smile on his face.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Few audience mbers clapped at the performance.

“Hahahaha!”

With the heavy gravity gone, Frown Man jumped back to his feet and walked away, but he didn’t forget to throw an arrogant smirk in Prince Leonida’s direction.

“…Whoo.”

Prince Leonida took a deep breath.

‘For the honor of my family, for the honor of my kingdom, for the honor of Leonida!’

He gritted his teeth and entered the Talent Road, but he was running—he was running as fast as he could—and he quickly reached the twenty-ter mark.

At that mont, it felt like he was trying to run through the water at the bottom of the ocean.

“Grrr!”

He reached thirty ters—the montum of his run pushed him further—and he soon passed 35 ters.

He was in second place.

‘I am not losing to a pirate. No way! No fucking way!’

37 ters… 38 ters… 39 ters.

At that point, Prince Leonida wasn’t running anymore and was struggling to inch even slightly forward.

His eyes were red, veins were bulging at the verge of explosion, and he could feel the fiery burn of defeat creeping up on him.

He gritted his teeth so hard that they slightly cracked, and then he inched his foot forward, but it just didn’t move enough.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The bell went on, and the heavy gravity disappeared around Prince Leonida—he had an expression of loss—and he turned to the screen.

His final score was 39 ters.

“No…”

He whispered in shock.

“Hahahahaha!”

Frown Man laughed from the sidelines—belly laughed even—and his laughter of ridicule echoed throughout the stadium.

The audience frowned, and their dislike towards him just kept growing.

With self-hate growing inside him, Prince Leonida returned back to his locker room, cursing under his breath.

He couldn’t believe that he lost a pirate. It made him hate himself.

On the screen, it showed that it was now the 9th ranked person’s turn—it was Kiernan’s turn—and he stood in front of the Talent Road.

“Hey, bastard. Want to also have a bet?”

Zeus asked with an angry grin.

“…”

Kiernan stayed silent, ignoring him, and stepped forward—when he took the first step, he felt light like a feather.

It felt different and wasn’t the sa when he was just walking down an ordinary road.

“It feels pretty good…”

Kiernan shrugged his shoulders, walked through the ten-ter mark, and reached twenty ters without any struggle.

The audience gasped in surprise—they thought that talents of tier four countries wouldn’t do well in this test—yet he had already beco a genius.

In front of the eyes of everyone, he reached thirty ters, and he was still able to walk without any struggle.

‘Is the difficulty going to spike any mont now? I still feel quite good.’

Kiernan thought and kept walking forward.

31 ters… 32 ters… 33 ters… 34 ters… 35 ters…

He had already reached the third place and easily closed in on the forty-ter mark!

“Huh? What the hell is going on? Why does it look so easy for him?”

Frown Man said with a frown.

At that mont, Kiernan reached the forty-ter mark.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

The audience clapped in amazent of him reaching the level of being a great genius—it also looked like he could walk even further!

“Where did he co from?”

“How is he doing so well?”

“A talent like that born in a weak country… I wonder what would’ve happened if he lived his childhood sowhere like God Island!”

Kiernan, with a surprised expression on his own face, kept walking with a breeze, and he soon reached the 50-ter mark.

It was already getting ridiculous, and those waiting behind him for their turn were also equally shocked.

“H-hey, what is going on? Isn’t he getting pretty close to being a once-in-a-century genius?”
