"…"

Hedda watched with a tight-lipped expression as Julian, with a powerful aura surrounding him like a cloud of mystery and danger, stepped onto the stage.

It was instantly clear to her that he was powerful. Pretty fucking powerful!

'It's nothing like facing Julian. He's on a whole different level. I guess this makes fighting Karuza High difficult because their first fighter is vastly weaker than other main fighters, which gives a false impression of their team's strength.'

Hedda then looked towards the last mber on Karuza High's bench, Kiernan, who looked cool and collected, unlike the rest of his teammates.

'If Julian is only their second fighter, just how monstrous is Kiernan? I know that Thorsten considers him a great adversary, but just how strong is he…?'

The referee walked to the center of the stage and raised his arm high.

"The second match—Julian Noah versus Hedda Brautigam!"

The crowd cheered like crazy.

"Are the two of you ready?!"

He scread so loud that his voice echoed throughout the arena.

"Yes!"

Hedda shouted.

"I am."

Julian said coldly and moved into his highly offensive stance that looked like he wasn't going to waste his ti defending.

"And here we go, the second match between Karuza High and Kanyon High is about to begin. This will be an interesting one!"

Chris Chang shouted from the comntator booth. His co-comntator, Luca Pop, shifted his gaze towards Julian, a slight curled smile on his lips.

"Julian Noah, a formidable fighter, has gone undefeated this far. He is a gatekeeper. Only those worthy, who can defeat him, can have a chance to face off against Kiernan Hunter, one of the most anticipated fighters in the tournant!"

"Can Kanyon High do it? Can they defeat Julian! They have three fighters left. Let's see how this plays out!"

Whistle~

The referee blew into the whistle.

"Fight!"

With that, the second match imdiately started!

As soon as the whistle sounded, Julian rushed forward like an arrow released from a bow and headed straight towards Hedda.

He didn't want to waste ti and wanted to end the fight as soon as it started!

However, Hedda, instead of going on the offensive, did sothing that surprised everyone and made people have strange impressions.

Hedda lay down on the ground, her legs spread and her arms outstretched in a grappling stance.

She imdiately moved into a grappling position, but it was strange since she wasn't grappling anymore.

It looked like she was just waiting for Julian to willingly co grapple with her!

"That's a defensive grappling stance. If Julian makes any wrong move, Hedda can easily bring him down to the ground."

Coach Jin said.

"Does Julian have any grappling knowledge?"

Julia asked out of curiosity.

"No."

Kiernan said with a chuckle.

"If he tries to entertain Hedda with grappling, he will lose. If he makes a mistake and ends up grappling with her, he loses."

When Kiernan said that so casually, they all looked quite pale-faced. They didn't understand how he could say that so casually.

It was an extrely serious situation!

"Grappling? Foolishness!"

Julian whipped his fist above his head, leaned closer to Hedda as if he wanted to grapple, and then brought his hamr fist down.

Hedda wrapped her legs around his waist to pull him down to grapple with her but then saw his hamr fist co crashing down on her face.

Her eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly stopped grappling with him and rolled out of the way.

CRACK!

The hamr fist crashed into the concrete ground and made a slight explosion of debris and dust.

"tal Hamr!"

Hedda jumped back to her feet, but then Julian smashed his fist at her side, catching her off guard.

"COUGH!"

Hedda coughed out blood and got sent flying to the side. She crashed on the ground but bounced right off and rolled all the way to the edge of the ring.

Her clothes were torn, and her skin was ripped, crimson blood seeping from her wounds.

Shock!

The audience couldn't believe the strength difference of the two fighters. It wasn't anywhere close, and once again, Julian's strength shocked everyone!

Mugenryu, Martial Academia.

"…"

In a crude-looking room, Johan lay on his bed, watching the nationals through his phone.

He looked quite exhausted as he just finished five hours of training. He missed the previous rounds but was able to catch the quarterfinals.

"Julian Noah… Where did a person like that co from? If I were fighting against him last year, I don't think I could win."

In the broadcast, he then caught sight of Kiernan on the bench and saw that he had also evolved way beyond his previous self.

"Yeah…"

Johan looked around his room and took a deep breath.

"It looks like they'll be joining here soon. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how talented one is in New Rakuya. That is rely tier 4 trash country.

"In here, everyone is way more talented…"

BOOM!

Julian buried his fist into Hedda's stomach, and her eyes imdiately rolled back to her skull.

She collapsed on the ground and stopped moving like a lifeless doll.

The fight barely lasted half a minute, and it was already over!

"Hedda is unconscious! The winner is Julian of Karuza High!"

This ti around, cheers from the other side of the arena erupted as Julian pumped his fist in victory.

"Good! Good! Good!"

Azer Karuza clapped his hands inside his very own VIP Room and smiled at the sight of Julian's overwhelming strength.

'Maybe, with two of them, we might be able to reach the victory…'

He dread of that, but he knew that there were still plenty of hurdles left.

In Kanyon High's bench, the tension was palpable. They just witnessed Julian destroying Hedda with ease.

Edwin, their second fighter, was not much stronger than Hedda. They were pretty equal!

"Edwin…"

Thorsten leaned into his ear to whisper.

"This one is a strong one. Stronger poison is needed."

Edwin nodded, then brought so strange liquid from his bag and drank it all. In that mont, his nails suddenly turned green, and so did his teeth.

Thorsten nodded his head and patted him on the back.

'It doesn't matter if Edwin loses. If he manages to inject him with the poison, he is as good as done when it is my turn to fight him.'
