Kiernan planted his ear against his door.
There were so discussions going on in the hallway, but eventually the caretaker of the dormitory told everyone to return to sleep.
They couldn't quite pinpoint the source where the screaming was coming from.
'Whew, safe.'
Kiernan returned back to the lottery wheel. He had one spin left.
Without further ado, he placed his hand against it, and with a deep breath, gave it one final spin.
Click! Click! Click!
The lottery wheel slowed down and eventually ca to a stop. Its pointer ended at 'Mystery Elixir.'
A flask with a swirling, iridescent liquid inside appeared in Kiernan's hand.
"Mystery Elixir? Information."
[Mystery Elixir: Enhances one of the five stats, only if you can guess the flavor correctly]
"Huh?"
Kiernan's eyes widened in shock, and he looked at the flask in his hand.
At first glance, he couldn't tell what flavor the elixir was all about. He was really poor at guessing flavors.
'I must take a taste. Hopefully it is sothing easily recognizable!'
Ding! Ding!
[Cold Shade: Thanks for sending that screaming bamboo to … What did you get from your second spin?]
[Revenant: Mystery Elixir. It can increase so of my attributes, only if I can guess the flavor correctly]

[Cold Shade: Interesting… I don't know whether this one is a Dead World item, but it might very well be. I can help you with the flavor. As potion master, I must be able to recognize the taste of different ingredients]
[Revenant: Alright. I am going to take a taste]
Kiernan looked at the strange flask in his hand, opened his mouth, and took a quick sip. He didn't swallow it all in one go.
The taste was sweet and quite refreshing with a few different flavors combined. He savored it for a mont before swallowing.
'Troubleso. I think I only recognized pineapple, but there are definitely other flavors there.'
[Revenant: I think I tasted pineapple at least. It had so sweetness to it, but I couldn't quite pinpoint the other flavors mixed it]
[Cold Shade: I think you should send it over to for a taste]
'I guess that's my only choice at this point.'
Kiernan went to fetch a glass cup from the cabinet, filled it half with the mystery elixir drink, and did the trade ceremony quickly.
"Comrcium!"

'A glass cup?'
Amara looked at the glass cup, grabbed it gently, and took a quick sip.
While he was busy focusing all her effort into the drink, the screaming bamboo was leaning against the wall. Its mouth was taped shut tight so that it wouldn't make a single sound.
'Yes, pineapple is easy to recognize. That sweetness must be coming from grenadine. It's hard to tell, but there is also coconut water included. There is one last ingredient, which is… li.'
She put the glass cup down and took her phone.
[Cold Shade: Pineapple, grenadine, coconut water, and li. This is my guess]
'Now that I've already taken a taste of the elixir, I wonder if one of my 'attributes' gets improved. I wonder what he ant by attributes, like strength or intelligence.'

"That was quick as hell."
Kiernan thought as he looked at the phone in his hand.
"Mystery Elixir includes pineapple, grenadine, coconut water, and li."
He said, and then looked around to see whether it was correct.
Ding! Ding!

'Oh shit!'
Kiernan's eyes widened in surprise, and he could tell that a drastic change just appeared in his body.
His agility just doubled in an instant!
Ding! Ding!
A ssage ca to his phone.
[Cold Shade: Did it work?]
[Revenant: It did. Have you tried saying it out loud?]
[Cold Shade: Yes, but it doesn't seem to work on . I, at least, can't tell the difference]
'Non-system users can't use stat-increasing items?'
Kiernan thought to himself.
[Revenant: Is the screaming bamboo any good? What will you do with it?]
[Cold Shade: I will chop it into tiny pieces and make powder out of it. It has limited uses for alchemy and potion making, but I plan on creating new combinations with it]
The conversation died off after that, and Kiernan put his phone away.
'How will the agility affect now, I wonder?'
Out of curiosity, Kiernan jumped to a handstand and held his body perfectly still. He then removed one hand from the floor and easily balanced himself with just one.
"Not bad~"
Kiernan flipped himself back to a standing position and chuckled to himself.
'However, a problem has co to my mind. Unbalanced body. Vitality is my strongest aspect, then agility, and then strength, but stamina is far behind.
'With unbalanced body attributes, it might turn out to be quite difficult for to break through those tough bottlenecks. I must have a talk with Sabbath tomorrow about that and about Montclair High's coach.'

The morning's dawning light washed over the school grounds, and sleepy, misty students began to trickle in for the start of another school day.
However, out of the view, behind the school inside a secluded shack, the sound of pained grunts, and laughter echoed.
"You Karuza High trash!
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
A group of Montclair High students ganged up on a Karuza High student, kicking him while he was down on the ground.
The student was bruised and barely conscious.
He didn't know why this was happening to him. He was on the way to his class but then happened to bump shoulders with one of Montclair High's students.
It was, of course, an accident, and it even felt like that Monclair High student intentionally hit him on the shoulder.
After that, he and his friends dragged him here and beat him up until he couldn't move.
"This should show them."
Montclair High student wiped the blood off his hands, then grabbed the bruised student from his hair and looked into his misty eyes.
"Tell the other cowards from Karuza High to stay out of our way. If they don't, they'll end up like you."
