The night deepened, and finally in Kiernan's room, after hours of writing a single letter, he put his pen down and gazed out the window at the twinkling stars.

The pigeon then flapped its wing and appeared between him and the sight of the twinkling stars. It was quite impatient to start flying back to Nightingale.

"Yeah, yeah…"

Kiernan folded the letter, placed it inside an envelope, and then slid the necklace inside the sa envelope. He was sending it back to his mother.

"You know, Nevaeh, we could've just called. Nod if there is a reason why we shouldn't use our phones."

The pigeon pecked as a nod.

"Right…"

Kiernan then wrapped the envelope with a small string around the pigeon's leg.

"I won't be here the next ti you'll co. I'll be by Gaul. You know how to get there?"

The pigeon waited a mont before nodding. It had great tracking abilities and had never failed to deliver a ssage.

"Good. It's getting cold, so can you leave so I can close the window?"

The pigeon flapped its wings as it flew out of the open window and into the chilly night air.

Bang!

Kiernan closed the window, tightly locking it shut, and then sighed deeply as he relaxed in the chair.

He then quickly checked the ti on the phone. It was one hour past midnight.

'In the morning we will start heading to Gaul with a school bus.'

After rembering that he had to get so sleep before that, he snuggled inside his blanket and quickly shut his eyes to force himself to sleep.

However, easier said than done.

The words he wrote on the letter lingered inside his mind.

'Maybe I was too harsh on her. Or not. When she brought here, she could've had a talk with Karma, but she chose to ignore him as if he didn't exist.'

Kiernan pinched his forehead, then moved to his side and just forced himself to sleep through pure willpower.

The lingering pain of the Bath of Pain tried to keep him awake. It felt like he was constantly being stabbed sowhere on his body.

Most would be screaming at the top of their lungs.

Not him, though.

The yellowish wheel of fire appeared in the sky and brought warmth across the landscape of Irio.

Currently, in the yard of the bus station, students dressed in their casual clothes waited for their bus to arrive. Most of them were yawning and excitedly talking with their friends.

"More than I expected…"

Azer said through a window of the bus station as he looked at the students, who were waiting at the yard.

"About fifty. It looks like about 80% of students decided to change schools, though."

He said with so disappointnt. He expected the number to be high, but it still hurt him deeply. It felt like the fire happened at the perfect mont for a certain soone.

'Irio High is now bustling with new students. It worked perfectly for Bernard, whose school was dying because of a lack of good talent.'

"The most important students stayed. Isn't that good?"

At that mont, Coach Jin walked over to him with soone following closely right behind him.

"I guess so…"

Azer said as he saw Kiernan and the rest in the yard. They were the most important students in the history of Karuza High, and if he had lost him, it would've been catastrophic.

"By the way, this is my new assistant coach."

Coach Jin patted the black-haired man on the back.

"Good to et you. I am Principal Azer. You are…?"

Azer looked at the tall, serious-looking man who was built like a tank. He had no idea that their small city of Irio had soone of this stature.

"Sabbath!"

Sabbath said with a smile.

"I never expected you to have a new assistant coach so suddenly."

Azer said in surprise, but he also wondered just how good of a teacher Sabbath was. When he was trying to gauge his current level of strength, it only told him that he should be around Martial Champion's level.

It was pretty lackluster.

" neither, but he contacted yesterday, and I had a quick eting with him. I approved his teaching thods. He is definitely elite!"

Coach Jin said with a deep smile. He thought he was quite lucky to find soone like Sabbath, who clearly knew a lot about the art of teaching.

Perhaps even more than he did.

"That's good. Anyways, the buses should be ready, so we need to start heading out. But before that, I need to talk to you guys about sothing."

"What is it?"

Coach Jin and Sabbath looked at Azer, who seed pretty serious about what he had to say.

"I just received a phone call. We won't be alone in the boarding school of Gaul. It is a famous training school, on par, if not better than Tiamut's Training Village.

"Thus, since the boarding school of Gaul has enough spots, another school will be joining us. Ever heard of Montclair High?"

"Montclair High…"

Coach Jin's eyes widened in shock as he quickly recognized the na.

"No way. That's Zachary Lokiah's school, isn't it? They're among the winning favorites in the next nationals. They might be our biggest rivals in the entire tournant!"

It was bad, very bad.

"Yes, that is indeed a problem. I was hoping that our students could train in peace without outside disturbances, but I was wrong. We just need to make sure that there isn't any unnecessary fighting among students."

Azer said with a heavy look.

"I heard Zachary Lokiah is one arrogant kid. He believes he is a god's chosen child. I am sure he will try to pick a fight with Kiernan.

"Zachary Lokiah is famous, yes, but our Kiernan is even more so. I fear what Monclair students will try to do to him."

Coach Jin said with a serious look.

'Haha, those brats don't stand a chance with Kiernan. He is a reborn monster!'

Sabbath thought to himself with a smirk.

"It'll definitely be eventful ti at Gaul. Now, let's start heading over to the buses, I want to arrive at Gaul before nightfall, and start training as soon as possible!"
