"Living in a foreign country is never easy."

The words of He Ye caused a mont of silence at the scene, and the audience watching the live stream started comnting:

"Why go there if it’s so difficult?"

"Exactly, I just don’t understand what’s so great about foreign countries?"

"Now do you realize that our own country is better?"

"The safety in Southern F, tsk, it really is quite chaotic."

"Sotis the embassy has to ask for their help? Seriously?"

"Wu is actually starting a security company now?"

...

"Master He, may I ask a few questions on behalf of the audience?" Chen Gang spoke up from the side.

He Ye knew in advance that Wu and others were filming a show, he nodded, "Ask."

Chen Gang, "Since it’s so difficult abroad, why choose to co here?"

He Ye nodded and looked at Chen Gang, "Before coming here, you must have considered the safety issues here, right?"

Chen Gang, "Of course."

"Then knowing that there might be dangers here, why still co?" He Ye countered.

Chen Gang, "...I understand. Second question, has it always been so tough here in Southern F?"

He Ye looked at the cara, "Actually, it’s much better now than before."

"In the past, not only the locals but even the local governnt would openly discriminate against the Chinese, making life difficult for us in all aspects of food, clothing, housing, and transportation. In so places, when Chinese were beaten, their businesses smashed, and they were insulted, even if they reported it to the police, they would be humiliated by the police again, not able to seek justice or have anyone to stand up for them."

"My parents died at the hands of locals during an anti-Chinese riot. In that riot, a total of seven Chinese died and eleven were seriously injured, while the perpetrators were three locals who had drunk too much. These three people were quickly arrested, but were only sentenced to five years (as Southern F has no death penalty), and they were all released after three years."

"Those three people, after being released, sought out the families of the victims to exact revenge. The first family they targeted was my neighbors where they killed two elderly people in the house, then they went next door and found my sister..."

"After that, I killed those three beasts and was sentenced to ten years. Ten years later, I was released and joined the Shared Guardian Association, and have been here ever since."

He Ye narrated his past experiences in a calm tone, containing little emotion, only slightly wavering when he ntioned his sister, "There are many Chinese with similar experiences to mine. There are so many Overseas Chinese Societies because if we don’t unite, we couldn’t survive from the start."

"What about now?" Chen Gang asked cautiously.

He Ye, "Now, the country has beco stronger, and our lives are much better than before. At least on the surface, we have the sa fair treatnt as the locals, and the embassy also provides us with a lot of help."

In Wu’s livestream room:

"Ah, how tragic."

"Those local beasts!"

"So, the biggest reliance abroad is still on our holand."

"Damn, such a place should be hit! Thoroughly scared, then they’ll know not to ss with Chinese!"

"Well killed! It was completely self-defense, yet he was still imprisoned for ten years, damn!"

"Ho is still the best."

...

The audience in the livestream was fervently emotional, all outraged by He Ye’s experiences.

He Ye couldn’t see the comnts in the livestream room and continued, "Here, there are many Martial Arts Halls for the Chinese, many of which under the Shared Guardian Association are free of charge. Do you know why?"

"Why?" Chen Gang asked cooperatively.

Wu seed to have realized that Master He was not completely straightforward in his intentions, probably wanting to convey so ssages through today’s livestream.

He Ye, "After my parents died, I started practicing martial arts, and it wasn’t because my talent in martial arts was extraordinary that I could kill them all by myself three years later. Three years, even with great talent, isn’t enough to beco a master, but it’s enough to build courage and bravery!"

"Our Shared Guardian Association teaches the local Chinese martial arts for free, not to turn everyone into masters, but to give everyone the courage to fight back! At least in the face of riots and massacres, they won’t just surrender and beco lambs to the slaughter."

Wu nodded, that indeed was the reasoning; practicing martial arts might not make one a master but could certainly influence one’s character, making them braver and fiercer!

Don’t underestimate this influence. When danger cos, not everyone might step forward like Wu did, confronting the criminals head-on, but a bit more courage can at least allow one to remain more composed than others, more fierceness gives you more options, a better chance to survive.

During the war, there were instances where a few Japanese soldiers escorted thousands of Chinese. These few soldiers had thousands of Chinese dig pits, then made them bury themselves.

In that entire process, not a single person dared to resist.

Certainly, this involves complex human nature issues, it’s not rely about lacking courage or fierceness, but at least the people with courage and fierceness are less likely to get hurt.

"That makes sense, I also practice martial arts, and have never faltered when encountering situations outdoors."

"Really, I practiced boxing for a while, and during that ti walking the streets, I always fantasized about soone provoking , leading to teaching them a lesson."

"I’ve been having my kid learn martial arts from a young age, not expecting him to be like Wu, but just to be more of a man."

"That Shared Guardian Association is quite nice, teaching local Chinese martial arts for free."

"Indeed, it’s great. People overseas need to be united; these Chinese societies are doing a good job."

...

The audience in the livestream once again heatedly discussed the topic.

"Our Shared Guardian Association teaches ordinary people martial arts, focusing mainly on self-defense, and also imparts so knowledge on how to protect oneself in unforeseen situations and riots. This way, at least most of the Chinese in Cape Town have so ability to defend themselves," He Ye continued.

"But even so, there are still Chinese who die each year from kidnappings, robberies, and riots. And recently, these numbers have started to increase significantly."

"Master He, since there are not enough hands and the embassy can’t help temporarily, why not consider contacting so security companies to send people over?" Wu asked.

He Ye gave a wry smile, "Those in security know this place is chaotic and more dangerous; security is difficult, and the casualty rate is high, so most major security companies demand a high price for jobs here, which most rchants in the Shared Guardian Association can’t afford. And if you switch to ordinary small security companies, the protection they offer might not even be as good as our own trained bodyguards."

"In all of Southern F, security companies willing to take jobs from Chinese rchants are few, because of the low cost-effectiveness. Therefore, most of the ti our Chinese rchants can only rely on the local Chinese societies," He Ye sighed.

Wu looked at He Ye, "Given this, Master He, I’ll take this deal!"
