Xu Chuan’s current overall score is an A (78%), and he’s only a step away from reaching the Master Level of Xingyi Fist, having improved rapidly since the start of the competition.
However, in this competition, there was no doubt he was the weakest participant in the arena.
Originally in the welterweight category, Guo Dongyang was stronger than Xu Chuan, but since Guo Dongyang was injured, Xu Chuan had to step in.
The four contestants stepped onto the specially made ring, and two referees stood on either side, quickly signalling for the match to begin.
As soon as the match started, Li San and Xu Chuan seed to have agreed beforehand, retreating together at a high speed.
George and Kermy hesitated for a mont before quickly catching up, but they didn’t rashly attack.
However, they quickly realized sothing was amiss—why were Li San and Xu Chuan continuously retreating?
By the ti they decided to try attacking, Li San and Xu Chuan had already reached the edge of the ring, standing there coldly watching the two n.
This stance made George and Kermy even more hesitant, because in a 2VS2 unlike 1VS1, falling off the ring just once ant elimination.
Xu Chuan alone wasn’t to be feared, but he had Li San beside him, whose ’Gyroscope Style’ of fighting using borrowed force had left a deep impression on everyone. George and Kermy didn’t dare act recklessly for fear of accidentally falling into a trap and being thrown off by Li San.
"Co on!"
Kermy, seeing Li San and Xu Chuan standing still, beckoned them provocatively with his hands.
"Get ready."
Li San whispered to Xu Chuan, who silently gathered strength.
"Charge!"
At his signal, both of them rushed forward.
Li San charged towards the stronger George, while Xu Chuan rushed towards Kermy, bursting forward with great speed gained from their amassed power!
Seeing this, George and Kermy instead breathed a sigh of relief; they had been afraid that Li San and Xu Chuan would keep waiting at the edge, and now that they were charging forward, naturally, they were unafraid.
George and Kermy stood at a moderate distance, around two ters apart—just one step needed to reach and assist each other readily.
Li San clenched his fists, delivering a Beng Fist from below upwards towards George.
George, excited in his eyes, was eager to gauge Li San’s power; he didn’t dodge and swung his arm down fiercely like a blade.
He was a Karate master, his skills even surpassing many experts in Japan.
Bang!
The two collided with a single strike, but Li San didn’t retreat a single step and swiftly changed his tactic from Beng Fist to Side Body Hamr, swinging his right arm horizontally!
The force shook George’s right arm, causing a surge of blood and a flash of surprise in his heart. No longer trying to out-muscle Li San, he took a step back to avoid the attack.
Having dominated the welterweight category in UFC for five consecutive years, known as ’Saint George,’ he was one of the most respected and skilled experts in the Arican Team, next to Jon and Miouqi. He naturally had pride, but after clashing with Li San, he imdiately set aside other thoughts and acknowledged Li San as a rare formidable opponent.
George stepped forward, raising his right arm to deliver a downward strike, a signature move of Karate called Wave-cutting!
Li San drew a circle with his left hand, intercepting George’s right arm, pressing downward fluently, and neutralized the Wave-cutting, imdiately following up with Block and Thrust.
George raised his left arm in front of him as if it were a large iron shield, a defensive posture known as Arm Shield in Karate.
The two skillfully exchanged blows, with a flurry of moves within monts.
anwhile, Xu Chuan charged towards Kermy using Tiger Hugging Head but was blocked. He imdiately switched direction with Horse Jumping Creek, stepping quickly to Kermy’s right side.
Kermy, having more strength and resistance to hits than Xu Chuan, and not slower either, forced Xu Chuan to avoid a head-on attack and wait for a chance to strike from the side.
Kermy turned swiftly, swinging a Hook that howled in the wind towards Xu Chuan’s temple.
Xu Chuan moved again, changing direction and simultaneously striking Kermy’s arm with his fist.
Ker didn’t care and suddenly lashed out with a leg, sweeping a spinning kick toward Xu Chuan.
However, Xu Chuan, as if he had anticipated it, stepped back in advance, skillfully dodging Ker’s sweep, and then stepped forward again, delivering a Half-step Breaking Fist toward Ker.
The two exchanged blows rapidly. Ker’s counterattacks were quick and delicate, but Xu Chuan could always stay on beat to avoid Ker’s moves, which left Ker feeling stifled, as if he were punching into cotton.
When Li Tongyun had fought Ker, he had relied on his understanding of Ker, and his greater agility to constantly circle around Ker and take the offensive. Although it wasn’t expected that Xu Chuan would end up fighting Ker, Li Tongyun had detailed Ker’s tactics in a tactical analysis class, and he had provided several strategies which Xu Chuan was now employing against Ker.
In reality, this style of fighting ant Xu Chuan had to keep moving and changing directions frequently, leading to significant energy consumption, and his attacks were not much of a threat to Ker since Ker not only had outstanding resistance to hits but also defended very well.
However, Xu Chuan didn’t actually intend to defeat Ker, knowing there was a gap in strength between them; his goal was rely to prolong the fight.
The four n on the field exchanged blows, moving around until they gradually approached the corner of the ring.
There were four round pillars, one in each corner of the ring, designed to allow so fighters who were good at grappling to back into the corners and fight with their backs against the pillars.
At this point, Xu Chuan was about to have his back against one of these pillars, while Li San and George were fighting not far from him.
After Xu Chuan once again changed direction to dodge an attack from Ker, he closed in to counter-attack, not with punches or kicks, but by suddenly grabbing Ker’s right arm.
"Senior!" shouted Xu Chuan.
Hearing this, Li San suddenly burst into action, driving back George with a Covering Body Hamr, and then imdiately rushed toward Ker!
Ker, realizing sothing was wrong as Xu Chuan grabbed his right arm and hearing Xu Chuan’s shout, understood it was the enemy’s tactic. So, while forcefully pulling back his right arm, he swung his left fist at Xu Chuan’s head.
Bang!
To his surprise, Xu Chuan didn’t dodge or flinch, letting Ker’s fist smash into his temple.
Xu Chuan’s eyes montarily clouded, but his hands still firmly dragged Ker.
At that mont, Li San had already charged up; Ker, dragged by Xu Chuan, couldn’t dodge in ti and could only smash another heavy punch on Xu Chuan’s temple.
No matter what, knock out one first!
Bang!
Xu Chuan’s eyes rolled back, and finally, his hands let go, his body collapsing to the ground.
anwhile, Li San had also reached the right side of Ker’s body, bent down, grabbed Ker’s waist with both hands, and leveraging the full force of his sprint, he shockingly charged toward the edge of the ring with Ker in his arms.
It seed like Li San was going to charge out of the ring with Ker!
The entire arena gasped in shock. At this point, Xu Chuan had been KO’d. If Li San were to fall off the ring with Ker, they would be disqualified together, leaving George still on the stage. That would an a loss for the Hua Country Team.
Everything happened too quickly; in the blink of an eye, Li San had already carried Ker to the edge of the ring.
Ker, half of his body already over the edge, also reacted, hurriedly grabbing Li San’s arms intending to pull him down together.
Li San’s hands pressed against Ker’s waist, he pushed forcefully, then his arms swung upward, twisting, breaking free from Ker’s hold.
But by this ti, most of Li San’s body was also leaning out of the ring, his whole posture forward-leaning.
A smile spread across Ker’s face; he thought Li San would fall out of the ring in the next second, and even if he had so move to steady himself, it wouldn’t matter because George was about to rush over, needing only a light kick to knock Li San off.
However, in the next second, Ker’s smile stiffened.
Li San lifted his right leg, bent his foot, and hooked it around the cylindrical pillar on the body’s right side.
The pillar had a diater of one ter; Li San couldn’t completely hook it with his foot, but he only needed to borrow a little force.
Swoosh!
By this ti George had already rushed behind Li San and kicked out with his right leg.
However, Li San, with his right foot hooked on the pillar and his left leg pushing hard, swung his body, leaving the ring entirely, and turned half a circle to the right. Then, facing the pillar, he wrapped his arms around it and used its force to land back on the ring, shifting from the left side of the pillar to its right.
