On the high platform, Sun Yiquan heard Wu Li’s words, his mouth fell open, his eyes reddened, and his face showed an expression part crying, part laughing.
In the stone forest, Feng Lin was still holding his gun, he turned his head to look at the spear beside him, staring blankly and slowly lowered his arms.
"Ha..."
His lips twitched, and a look of relief flashed across his face.
"Wu Family Spear? Haha, Hahaha!"
He shook his head, didn’t even glance at Wu Li, and just turned around to walk away.
"Wu Family Spear..."
He kept repeating these words as he stepped up the stairs, his back looking dispirited.
"Holy shit, we won!"
"Wow, that thrust just now, so impressive!"
"So, so, so, so, so cool!!!"
"He actually thrust the spear into the stone pillar!"
"It was too fast, I couldn’t see clearly, I demand a replay!"
"Isn’t this guy the one-ti Spear King? How did he suddenly co here and give his spear to Wu Li?"
"He used to say he didn’t want to pass down his spear technique, why has he suddenly started practicing a set of Wu Family Spear?"
"Ah, I feel like I’ve missed many episodes of a series and they just played the finale for ."
" too, I desperately want to know what’s going on right now."
...
After the battle ended, the live-stream audience exploded, all clamoring to understand the whole story.
Seeing Wu Li defeat Feng Lin, Chen Gang breathed a deep sigh of relief, frankly, he had thought about calling the police to stop the fight because he was too afraid Wu Li would get hurt.
Beside him, Li Tongyun looked down at Wu Li and a smile appeared on her face, "Did you break through?"
[Gained recognition from a Master Level Martial Artist of Wu Family Spear, consecutive task ’Master’s Na’ completed 6/10]
[Task Reward: Wu Family Spear upgraded to Master Level]
The system’s ssage brought joy to Wu Li’s heart.
He had originally regretted that the Wu Family Spear wasn’t available for exchange in the system, but now, using the task ’Master’s Na’, he had directly learned the Wu Family Spear and even advanced it to Master Level.
The task had progressed further, and he had learned the Wu Family Spear, but these were not the main gains of this ti.
Wu Li used system detection on himself:

Divine Value had officially broken through 100, transitioning from Kongming to the Spirit Realm!
That is, Wu Li had already completed one-third of the conditions to beco a Grandmaster!
A strong surge of joy filled Wu Li’s heart, and a child-like smile appeared on his face.
For soone like him, who pursued the limits of Martial Arts, every breakthrough in Martial Arts was like a child receiving a coveted toy, bringing imnse pleasure.
To outsiders, practicing Martial Arts daily for decades might seem monotonous and arduous, yet for those truly imrsed in it, it feels sweet as candy, because even the slightest progress can be exhilarating, making all their efforts seem worthwhile.
At this mont, this was exactly how Wu Li felt.
From Kongming to the Spirit Realm, it was not just an increase in Divine Value; Wu Li also understood the difference between the two realms.
Kongming is the absolute tranquility of the soul, focusing all intentions highly; whereas the Spirit Realm allows the heart to boil, with intentions and emotions changing intensely.
Such changes could be stimulated by external factors.
For instance, when Wu Li finished a competition and raised the national flag, hearing the entire audience sing for him, he felt that vast conception, and his Fist Intent Spirit was stimulated by the external environnt, surging forth. If he could utilize this conception to throw a punch, his punches would carry that boundless and unmatched montum!
Similarly, just now, when Sun Yiquan released his decade’s worth of emotions and spirit in one spear thrust aid at Wu Li, Wu Li was stimulated by this, causing his ntal state to shift. He incorporated the montum of Sun Yiquan’s spear into his own Fist Intent, then thrust a spear.
In that mont, it was as if he and Sun Yiquan jointly delivered a spear to Feng Lin!
Such an outburst of montum would, of course, disturb Feng Lin’s spirit and defenses.
In general, the Kongming Realm is about Martial Artists discovering their unique Fist Intent, and in each punch and technique, embedding their Fist Intent Spirit to create montum.
The Spirit Realm, on the other hand, involves Borrowing Montum, capable of utilizing the ’montum’ from the external environnt, integrating it into their own Fist Intent, producing an effect greater than the sum of parts.
But what if there is no external stimulus, can one still Borrow Montum?
Wu Li imdiately thought of this question; whether after the competition or just now, his Borrowing Montum was due to changes in the external environnt, but it’s not feasible to always expect external changes to stimulate him every ti he acts. If so, the Spirit Realm might seem sowhat lackluster.
However, Wu Li soon understood the issue: apart from relying on external stimuli, one can also ’Borrow Montum’ through their subjective consciousness.
Xue Dian’s Xingyi Fist has Five Forms: Flying, Cloud, Shake, Sway, Spin.
These forms have no specific techniques; they’re mystical thods that focus on montum over techniques.
Before breaking through to the Spirit Realm, Wu Li’s understanding of these Five Forms of Xingyi wasn’t profound enough, focusing on montum rather than techniques seed too taphysical.
But now, according to the characteristics of the Spirit Realm, integrating both, Wu Li quickly grasped the subtleties.
Focusing on montum, not techniques, refers not to one’s own montum, but to Borrowing Montum.
Heavens and earth, mountains and rivers, plants and animals, everything in this world has its ’montum’: the vastness of heavens and earth, the towering mountains and rivers, the evergreen plants, the spirited fish...
Thinking of this, Wu Li’s mind filled with nurous images:
A person stands atop a high mountain, watching the sun break through the clouds at dawn; then he throws a punch, like the grand sun descending, illuminating the world...
A person stands by the banks of the Yellow River, watching the relentless river flow; then he throws a punch, like mighty waves hitting the shore, unstoppable...
Under the sky, upon the earth, amid the wind and rain, all things in this world can be observed and drawn upon.
In life, between heaven and earth, if one can integrate these ’monta’ into their own fighting techniques, such fists can truly be called the Unity of Heaven and Man!
PS: Finally finished writing this section, besides expressing the different views on ’Martial Arts’ from Feng Lin and Sun Yiquan, it also portrays the protagonist’s breakthrough.
I’ve always believed that writing about the protagonist’s growth shouldn’t just be confined to physical strength, but also ntal changes. The protagonist has had it too easy before, and for a 21-year-old, facing setbacks and experiencing ntal shifts are quite normal. What’s really important is how he breaks through and transforms his thinking afterward.
From feeling threatened by soone with a spear, to considering spear training, and then firming up his resolve for Martial Arts training. Set up, develop, turn, and conclude - I hope I’ve made myself clear.
