Under the shadows, the man’s figure was extrely bizarre, as if countless writhing shadows were endlessly swaying within, sending shivers down one’s spine.
Even the surrounding space was overshadowed by the shadow, reflecting a certain distortion, under which seed to hide an entirely different alternate dinsion.
The infant blinked its big eyes, looking innocently at the man, with strands of Buddha Light erging around its body.
And then...
Gululu~
A sound resembling the flow of sludge echoed, the infant began to giggle, turning over and lying on the bed, looking upwards at a phantom slowly erging, shrouded in Buddha Light.
It was a monk appearing pot-bellied, with a large head. Under the Buddha Light, it seed remarkably sacred.
His face was covered with swastika patterns, that imposing and harmonious imprint of the Buddhist Sect, bringing an indescribable eeriness to his face.
"You shouldn’t have co here."
The Buddha phantom spoke slowly, as if thousands of monks were chanting scriptures while speaking.
"I need your help."
The man’s voice sounded like two pieces of decaying tal scraping together, making one feel extrely uncomfortable.
"In my current form, how can I help you?"
"Will you carry outside, just to splash urine on others?"
The big monk of Golden Pool said helplessly, casting a glance at the child on the bed who was continually waving its tiny hands.
Ultimately, this was his current body.
And this phantom was rely a residue of his consciousness, acting only as a guardian.
"Golden Pool, just a strand of consciousness cannot be this vibrant; you must have had so fortuitous encounter within this Dragon Nurturing Temple. Perhaps there is soone, or so sacred relic of the Buddhist Sect."
The man spoke coldly.
Upon hearing this, the big monk of Golden Pool’s expression instantly darkened.
He ceased speaking, glaring at the other party.
"Rest assured, I am not interested in your fortuitous encounters. Among us, you have the deepest understanding of cause and effect, and it’s because of that ledger that you fell to this state."
"You surely won’t let this rest. I ca to find you now just to know if you have any clues or know who the opponent is."
Cold ghostly faces surfaced around the man.
The big monk of Golden Pool’s eyes sank as if in deep thought.
After a long while, he finally spoke.
"Does ’Black Sun’ know you are searching for ’him’?"
"He doesn’t know. There have been so matters at Ancestor Hall lately. His attention is mostly over there. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have co to the present so easily to seek you out." The man said honestly.
The big monk of Golden Pool was startled: "You still dare to act while ’Black Sun’ isn’t aware?"
"Why wouldn’t I dare? For the Human Race, we have fallen to such a state—not quite human, not quite ghost—for his so-called ultimate truth, we don’t even have the right to et with family or clansn."
"We have sacrificed so much, not to obey his orders, and definitely not to beco his subordinates!!"
Under the chilling voice, was unabashed dissatisfaction and ambition.
"From the mont we chose this path, we are inseparably linked with him, sharing glory or suffering. Whatever you think is rely delusion."
Golden Pool sighed.
"Only by integrating as much as possible into Subspace, making ourselves into ’Origins’ as much as possible, can there be a chance to escape ’Black Sun’.
Upon hearing this, the man in the shadows revealed a significant smile.
"That may not be..."
"Yin Yue, what do you an!" The phantom of the big monk of Golden Pool beca sowhat agitated.
Yin Yue looked at Golden Pool, softly uttered two words.
"Void Spirit..."
Upon hearing this, Golden Pool’s face changed abruptly, then furrowed into a frown, remained silent for a mont before speaking: "Are you confident?"
"Seventy percent confident."
"And the cost?"
"If you still consider yourself as part of the Human Race, then the cost is unbearable for you. But if you have figured out what we truly are now, then there’s no need for any cost."
Yin Yue spoke aningfully.
Upon hearing this, Golden Pool’s mouth curved upwards exaggeratedly.
"Amitabha, all beings are shapeless, Buddha even more so; I am not mundane, but Buddha indeed. How could Buddha be called human?"
Upon hearing this, Yin Yue couldn’t help but laugh heartily: "Hahahahahaha!! Golden Pool, Golden Pool, I originally thought you would be reserved; I indeed didn’t misjudge you!"
"Now tell , the clue or identity of that person, and once I succeed, I will introduce you to et him!"
Golden Pool did not directly speak, instead, he questioned.
"Why are you looking for that person? Naming Origin, we all tried this back then but failed. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be on this path; our ’Status’ couldn’t carry it."
Yin Yue sighed, knowing the old fellow wasn’t easily fooled.
If nothing was said, the other party would likely never disclose the identity of that person.
"Our Status indeed can’t bear it, but the World Light can. He promised to help devour the opponent’s Status, once I found that person.
"You know, the ’Origin’ I chose is devouring, Status included."
While speaking, Yin Yue’s tone carried indescribable greed.
Golden Pool instantly realized the other’s ambitions, yet knew he couldn’t envy him.
"You eat the at; I want so broth too." Golden Pool spoke.
Yin Yue wasn’t surprised by his words, and reached out, revealing a small diamond-shaped crystal.
The crystal presented a semi-transparent color overall, between void and reality.
As soon as it appeared, Golden Pool’s eyes were occupied with endless longing and greed.
