This sentence, Seraphina feels sowhat familiar.

"I seem to have heard soone ntion it sowhere, but I can’t rember."

"Is that so?" Ethan Sterling winked at her, "Then let’s eat first, and when you have ti, you can think about it slowly."

After dinner.

The two tidied up the table and kitchen together, Ethan Sterling pulled her to sit on the sofa.

Noticing the chocolate she hadn’t finished on the table, Ethan Sterling got up and took the cup.

"Let make you a new cup."

"No need, just heat it up a bit."

"I insist, just wait."

He smiled at her and walked toward the kitchen with the cup in hand.

At the kitchen door, he stopped in his tracks.

"By the way, honey...check upstairs for ; I think I forgot to close the window after airing out this morning."

"Alright."

Seraphina got up and went upstairs, checked the bedroom and study, and didn’t find any windows left open.

She went back downstairs and ca to the kitchen doorway.

"I checked, the windows are all nicely shut."

Seeing Ethan still busy at the stove, she tilted her head in confusion, looking at the stove.

"What are you doing that’s taking so long?"

Ethan waved his hand at her, "Just wait on the sofa, I’m almost done."

Seraphina turned and sat back on the sofa, and soon Ethan ca out with the cup.

He bent down in front of the sofa, handing the cup to her.

Seraphina took the cup and imdiately noticed the beautiful rose made from white milk over the hot chocolate.

"So beautiful." Seraphina exclaid, "You actually know how to make latte art?"

"Of course, back when I was studying abroad, I worked in a coffee shop."

"No wonder your chocolate is so tasty." Seraphina lifted her face with a smile, "By the way...how many more secrets do you have that I don’t know?"

"A lot." Ethan knelt on one knee before her, "Over ti, I will share them with you, but for now...I have a question to ask you."

"What question?"

"Will you continue this marriage with a man who has hurt you, who is imperfect, sotis a bit chauvinistic?"

Ethan raised his right hand from behind, opening his fingers.

In his palm, the blue diamond ring glittered under the light.

Recognizing it as the ring she returned to him, Seraphina was taken aback.

So...

Is this a proposal?

Her gaze moved from the ring to Ethan’s face.

Seraphina looked intensely at his face, her eyes rimd with redness, smiling.

"I...I do!"

Ethan solemnly placed the ring back on her finger, raised her hand to his lips, and kissed it gently.

"Thank you, Seraphina, thank you for giving another chance, this ti...I promise not to disappoint you!"

Seraphina nodded lightly, watching him.

Ethan sat beside her on the sofa, put his arm around her shoulder.

"Now...you can drink your rose."

She smiled at him, lifting the cup to her lips.

Looking at the rose in the cup, she hesitated to sip.

"Why aren’t you drinking?"

"It’s so beautiful, I can’t bear to."

"Silly girl!" Ethan laughed, ruffling the top of her head, "Next ti...I will make sothing even prettier for you."

Seraphina laughed too, bringing the cup to her lips and drinking seriously, sip by sip.

With added milk, the chocolate tasted smoother, rich and sweetly fragrant.

Ethan glanced at her face.

"How is it?"

"Delicious." Seraphina held the cup to his lips, "Do you want to taste it too?"

Ethan took the cup from her hand but did not drink; he placed the cup on the coffee table instead.

"Compared to chocolate, I find Mrs. Sterling...sweeter."

He turned his face and kissed her on the corner of her lips.

This kiss was more tender yet more assertive than the previous one.

While kissing her, his hand naturally ventured beneath her sweater, exploring the softness and curves of her body, his breath gradually growing heavy.

"Honey...did you miss ?"

Feeling weak from his teasing, Seraphina leaned against him, her voice hoarse.

"I did."

Ethan leaned over her.

Outside the window.

Snow fell silently.

Inside the window.

Passion was afla.

...

...

At this mont.

First General Hospital patient room.

Watching the nurse remove the needle from his arm and leave, Adrian Chamberlain raised his right hand and threw the dicine on the table into the trash.

"Why, why let him go like this? Didn’t you take the photos? He hit like that, should at least be detained for a few days, right?"

The lawyer stood at the end of the bed, speaking reluctantly.

"It requires bodily harm to warrant detention, and nothing’s been found on you, so the police have to follow procedures."

"He hit several tis, and that’s not injury, damn it...I’ll have the doctor diagnose with a concussion tomorrow."

"Mr. Chamberlain, I believe I need to remind you." The lawyer’s voice was stern, "Right now, what’s most important for you is not this, it’s how to save yourself, don’t forget, Nathan holds evidence of you using inferior steel instead of good steel."

"You think I wanted this, who’d have thought that bastard would record it." Adrian was hit where it hurt, biting his back teeth in anger, "How much longer can we delay?"

"Not more than two weeks at most, after all...your health isn’t showing any major issues." said the lawyer.

"Then find a way, you’re the lawyer, I’m paying you to clear my na!" Adrian shouted.

"I’m your lawyer, if you really want to help..." the lawyer supported his hands on the rail, "you better tell the truth, the Zenith Apartnts collapse incident, who is truly responsible, you... or Caleb?!"

"Of course it’s Caleb!" Adrian replied without hesitation, "His design is flawed."

"Then why would you destroy the original design?"

"I..." Adrian frowned, lowering his eyelashes, "When did I destroy the original design?"

"That big fire, wasn’t it set on purpose by you to burn all evidence, allowing you to collude with contractors and suppliers...to shove all responsibility onto Caleb." The lawyer smirked, "Isn’t that right, Mr. Chamberlain."

"You..." Adrian raised his face, "Are you my lawyer or my enemy?"

Just as Adrian spoke, the hospital room door was pushed open.

Two n in black walked in first, standing to the side of the door.

Then, a tall man strode into the room.
